  1. 1971 i think Olsen always keeps for me 71-75 were Olsen's best years.Mauger i think in 68/69/70 he would of been mighty hard to beat. I believe Olsen over those years would of been a mega threat to Ivan. Mauger for me on one off meetings generally his record is superb what a rider what a temperament. Mauger was never a mile clear of his rivals from 73 onwards in my opinion still riding at a great level though but Michanek and Ole were on par with him easily in 74/75.
  2. Think Olsen could of won titles in 72 and 77 Collins was unlucky in 77 was Collins best year 76? Think 83 over a series would of been well open Carter,Lee,Sigalos,Nielsen,Gundersen,Sanders all riding well 84 onwards Hans certainly.
  3. Fundin,Olsen,Nielsen could they have won more world titles if there had been a Gp Series around.?Fundin i hate to say it because he was a great rival of Briggo would of done Olsen could of done in my view as well.Hans well no exaggeration he could of won 6/8 world titles in my book interesting looking back at Nielsen's career how many he could of won.
  4. A decent Gp with some good racing, pleased Holder is getting back to be where he belongs .Pawlicki/Zagar having strange meetings but i was very impressed with Thomsen a really neat and tidy rider mixed it well Harris also looked quicker later on.
  5. He won't get in the semis if he does fair play to him, even if he does not he has made good progress this year.
  6. A great post mucker, Curtis who i only see ride twice once at the abbey think in the 73 championship season Geoff God bless i think would of done well been a International star minimum.Eastbourne under the Dugards great stuff for me Weatherley,Eric Dugard,Gachet,Middleditch,Mcneil few examples. After Woodsey woods a proper English rider grass roots(ect)loved Woods and really Gordon Kennett a great rider loyal to the hilt.Funny really never liked Eastbourne as a track but loved going still M.Dugard always rated had a decent career retired to young.
  7. Thanks Sam will order it now how do you think Auty will fair in the BF?.Hope he rides well competes think the track will suit. This British Final i can't wait, away from Wolves this new Vue tracks looks to have loads of lines neutral hope the place is packed for Gordon/Mort both are really decent men they deserve it hope they both enjoy the night.
  8. Do you think Steve that the Owen bros who were both top and decent riders Tom was a top average NL rider. Joe was big for a few years.Joe proved it when he give a go at Newcastle and before at Hull a real class act to me Hunter another Newcastle rider who oozed class for me never quite did it at BL level.Newcaste are a great club a great breeding ground for others Mauger,Olsen,Michanek, Lovaas Peterson ,B.Pedersen,N.Pedersen,.Bjerre If you conquer Brough as a track you are nearly half way there in doing OK in your career a real hard track in my view to conquer.
  9. Jacko with Lawson and both Owen lads Wilcock, a few examples all unsung heroes really good riders all of them.
  10. Wolves we all know he rides that well i would certainly have him in the later stages there other tracks for me he has a lot to do.
  11. How would King be anywhere near a WTS at this present time puzzling.?
  12. Are you sure? what order were they in the semi final i would take Stead over Garrity all day long. Also in this big meeting his temperment Garrity is more suspect than most.
  13. I agree Steady for me has a great shout to get in the later stages but i don't have that much confidence in any of the market leaders Lambert would be my pick.
  14. Jackson was my favourite ever NL rider, see him once at the brilliant Elesmere Port track a great team man like Steve Lawson a brilliant no 1 for a number of years.
  15. God Danny do these bookies want to take a bet?If it was at Wolves yes but this is a very competitive line up 16s is skinny thanks for replying.I am a massive fan of Auty but god 12/1? the track should suit but he looked mighty down on power on Thursday at Swindon.
  16. Where can you get a bet on Woz? can't see nothing on Oddschecker what price did you get 33s 50s/66/1?
  17. Even with a change mate is this side good anough? i actually think overall this side has punched well above its weight.!
  18. Can't remember to many times that a home team has had two reserves score twenty points between them and lose. Also would any of the home fans maybe of made tactical/reserve changes earlier? and differently in heats 13/14.?
  19. Dug in there after a real tough week up the Robins.!Well done to the Lions to a great win on Thursday well deserved and they are a real spirited lot really admire them for that.
  20. John he was taking the p.ss out of me no problem with that ,well to say what he said he can't be all there upstairs.
  21. So you think it is funny to mock Dementia sufferers you SICK bastard.😡
  22. 1975 BF i went Wilson beat Ashby in a run/off for the last qualifying position the best Final i have seen.Just thinking about it didn't Keith White qualify from it one year 1977 which then was a bit of a shock at the time.
  23. I can remember going to a Swindon v Kings Lynn meeting i think it was on a good Friday in 1973?.I still have the programme with Briggo on the front this after getting an MBE Bettsy scored a few i remember.
  24. I am a Batchelor fan as a rider,he has so much ability but in many ways his career has been wasted. How he showed the disdain to the Robins fans last year was a suicide thing to do.For me that has gone, and i actually hope he fulfills his potential but i believe his chance has gone i can't see him getting in the series again. Also this years team the morale in the camp looks superb a real feel good factor about it.Be nice though if Troy proved me wrong,he is good anough attitude is everything in sport ability alone is not anough.
