I think Ford has made a grave error not including Chris Holder,is it because there personnel relationship has broken down.?My team would be Holder,Holder,J,) Kurtz,Ellis,Blackburn,Newman with another not to bad a team and would take alot of beating at home.

Ellis now has not got a place at Poole which for me is a real shame will he get a place elsewhere in the EL on that average i am not sure.

Starke for me would be great value if the pirates got him back certainly on that average.People forget Starke had a decent year in a real struggling team and the moral there could not of been high were certain riders there still owed money.?

Great commentator the BEST for me when ITV had highlights loved Lanning doing the Spring Classic British Finals (ect) he made them great viewing.Can remember 1980 very well the senior Briggo spat with Gresham in the Reading v Swindon match after Spinka had caused the bother. I have just watched all the Gps again in the past month and what a bitter pill that was for Doyley to swallow.To have the WC snatched away from him must of been heartbreaking but he will be back and stronger in my opinion and in the next five years can win a title i hope so.Great that he is back for the Budgies and next seasons series should be a cracker.Doyle,Holder,Emil,Tai,and the three poles will be the ones in the hunt for me the series lineup is the best it can be for me just minus G.Laguta which is a shame.

NW could see that happening myself, just look back to the 83 NLRC when Mort reeled Carter in, in one of the best passes i have ever seen.Collins well at his peak feared nobody and he knew if he missed the gate at Hyde Rd he could pick anybody off.One thing i would say in your post did Carter always have good aquipment? was it the best? remember Evitts (who had great stuff) saying he felt Carters aquipment could of been better.
