Lovaas was one of my favourite riders to think how he progressed from his first Newcastle year was amazing.At Reading(in Mitches shadow!) Hackney/ challenged for the helmet) /Oxford he was top class.My main memory of Dag was turning up at the Abbey at 7.15 for the Mike Keen meeting it was pi....g down with rain had been most of the day.I was convinced it was off in that meeting Dag cruised to a 15 point maximum(did he not practice on iced Lakes in Norway?) Mauger what a rider i often wondered when Hull pushed Coventry hard for the title you knew Ivan was gutted when they were beaten.But he was a GREAT individual rider but he was a great team man to got extra points out of his lesser team riders with his knowledge he did it at Belle Vue ,Exeter,Hull Legend.
