Funny really because a few of us on here said that Charles was at least as good if not better than Newman.Good luck to Charles i believe on better kit he is capable of improving more in the future he is great value as well.

I was not trying to prove a point at all, but you have not answered the point of the 76 year? will you give Dave credit for that year.? Dave was terrific for the Hawks that year i have always said that Chris was the better rider but Dave in that one season was on fire.SHADOW of his brother NO Dave Morton was a very good rider in his own right did you see him for Hackney Iris.?
-
My point was that Dave was not in Chrissies shadow for those three seasons 1976 Dave averaged over 10 i think Chris averaged 9.53?.Chris we all knew he would go on to great things but my memory in that 76 season when i saw Dave ride he was flying.
-
Iris Dave Morton before he broke his leg at Hackney was never in the shadow of Chris in 76 Dave averaged over 10 not bad. Chris who i admired greatly had a great career but Dave before his injury was no mug certainly not in his brothers shadow.
-
Can't believe Bradley has missed out on a place would of loved him at Swindon.Just hope he gets something sorted out before March, it will be a shame if he can't carry on with the progress he has made in the last two seasons.
-
Dave Morton was only in the shadow of Chris after he broke his fibia which basically finished him as a top class rider. At Hackney Dave was superb and for me was a better rider than Chris up until he broke his leg.
-
People forget Hume averaged i think 7.33 in the NL? an average that he upped from 3.59.? Also he did all of that in the top 5 a real achievement when you think that two other prospects Parkinson Blackburn and Smith were at reserve.
-
Speedway should be very proud of the speedway star for me it has stood the test of time.Phillip for me you should put it up to 3 pound an edition most of us who buy it would not moan i am sure of that.Out of interest does that bumper edition for the new season cost alot more to produce? i look forward to every new seasons bumper edition a brilliant read great value.

Loved watching all of those also Billy Wall, Bobo Valentine, Martin Hewlett, ( bless him) all the Smarts/Chessell's and even Rosco.
-
Crutcher i never see him ride but in a way he was like Arthur Forrest never stayed in the game that long.
-
Going back over old matches and results ten riders who come to mind who were brilliant riders great servants but for me often get forgotten about. The ten i thought of were Alan Hunt,Peter Smith( Mr Poole),Eric Boothroyd,(great promoter as well) Brian Crutcher,Jimmy Mcmillan, Trevor Hedge,Neil Street,George Hunter,Mike Broadbank Jimmy Gooch just a few. There are hundreds of others you could all name what are your memories of some of these legends.

I see the season ticket offer, purchase before January 8th it is 250 pound with a free programme each meeting 17) It seems a decent saving if you go everyweek, it is about 70 odd quid.

Would Auty/Starke get the two places for British riders.?

Is there any coverage of the Kuri/Kuri meeting tonight 03rd December.? -
I think Hume will be the better reserve can see him doing well at home away will be learning curve for him.Mountain is promising but he is coming back from a very serious injury he will have to find his feet again.

Unless you got a rider say of the ability of Shamek Pawlicki as a no 1 and then got another six riders in with strength in depth in mind leaving Doyley out was never an option for Rosco. Some of the other teams for me are no great shakes so i would not give up on this team just yet.
-
Doyley leads the team for me for as long as he wants to worth going every week just to see Jason ride.
-
For me the edition that comes out previewing the new season ahead is always a brilliant read.I often wished it could be like that every week but it is great value at 2.90.Look at the price of the Racing Post how much that has gone up over the years where the star has been pretty stable keeping its price.
-
We have a real youthful look about our side and i am open minded on how we will do.Andersen it looks a big ask to come in but he has decent credentials but i believe Hansen is a better rider we shall see roll on March.!!
-
Hansen will be a decent signing whoever signs him will it be Swindon probably no.
