  1. Tommy had real class and i am convinced he would of been a World Champion. To think he could of been still around in the late 80s/90s real class had everything.Chuffed i actually see him ride in the Helmet against crash and beat him in the decider at Cradley often. think what he could of achieved.?😀
  2. I like Tai respect him he is a great rider ( only if he keeps working hard the younger brigade are catching up) but not to long ago he was not to professional himself was he ? .
  3. No Tommy J , Steve ? that surprised me as you love your Wimbledon Dons.I suppose it is you having an opinion without having your Bias head on unlike me concerning Martin Ashby eh!!😀😜
  4. Both if they gate is Klindt a fighter can he pass? does he take risks ask yourself that "Starman!😀
  5. God you ent much older than me BOBBATH 😜anyway have a nice christmas.😂
  6. I am bias and you are right Chris should be in it. Ashby i suppose to be honest never showed his full worth he was a member of the 75 Norden winning side also that meeting he won a prestigious Victor Ludorum second halve final.Overall Martin underachieved for me he was one hell of a good rider.Boulger i have always rated tough to beat tough/as old boots and over that period he could beat everyone he was often overshadowed by Crump/Sanders John was a super rider in his own right.
  7. (1969/88 B.L. (20) Briggs,Mauger,Michanek,Penhall,Lee,Collins,Nielsen, Gundersen,Carter,Crump,Sanders,E..Boocock,Sigalos,T.Jansson,Autrey,Jessup ,Ashby,R.Wilson,Boulger,Simmons.
  8. Newman improving really? Klindt if he does not gate he won't be easily beating the likes of Bates,Clegg (ect) Bargain jury out on that one just glad we didn't sign him reminds me of FinnJensen.
  9. Again that shows do you go by riders world honours, or there Longevity,Consistency and domestic form.? For me English riders Wilson, E.Boocock,Louis,Ashby,Jessup,Betts were all in the same pot level wise but Wilson (World team cup max only)Louis,Jessup achieved more at World level.Even so Boocock,Ashby,Betts could all be considered in this discussion.
  10. I believe the experience Brady got last year will really benefit him this year he can improve very surprised some people have written him off.Jack H is a decent long term investment he will be a top rider in the future.
  11. I would not say stand out Crazy pretty good in a poor league. As for there reserves Klindt i am not convinced with wont pull up any trees in a top 5. Young Shanes i like and i believe he will be a good rider a tough challenge ahead for him away form is the key for Poole.
  12. Who on here expected to see a better 2017 Poole side named? i did.It is still decent but it does not excite me and fill me with fear it will be a good home side nonetheless.
  13. Modern day spot on Hammer Darcy was a terrific team rider also Phil Crump would be high up on my list as a team rider.Leigh Adams was another one he often helped David Ruud around.Collins/Grahame,C.Morton./P.Collins, and the two Moran brothers are the three best partnerships i have seen.
  14. Would be proud to have that as my list Steve , Boocock who i was a massive fan of does deserve to be in it .You are right his British career was superb and was rounded off with a brilliant British Final win against a peak field. Spot on Steve INTEREST is the key word, as you said TWK 's opinion is as valid and has as much substance as anyone else's .Since coming on the forum i have learned more from people on here than anywhere else brilliant to hear other people's stories and opinions.😀
  15. My uncle who first took me to speedway often raved about him and that was coming from someone who was a Briggo supporter.Norbold, Bobbath, BL ( ect)people who's opinions i really respect have all said Knutsson COULD of won more titles a class act.
  16. Lee do we rate him more because of his natural ability and talent rather than what he actually achieved.? His top class career in reality was very brief 77/83 so Longevity was not a plus for him.But when i think about it the Lee i saw would have to be in a top 20 riders that i ever saw.In 83 for a couple of months he was awesome what a shame for us supporters that it all went pearshape for him.
  17. This is where it is tricky Pedersen being a prime example he has three titles how many of us would rate him on par with Olsen.? I wouldn't rate him anywhere near but we should really because Pedersen won three titles in a tough era.Havelock,Lee,Loram, again another example all won a title but was Lee/Loram in reality in a different league to Havvy.? For me doing lists is near impossible most of it down to just personnal opinion and as you say Longevity plays a big part of it.
  18. Those odds are poor do they want business or not?✌️️
  19. Being happier in his racing at his new club will make a hell of a lot of difference big points from him this year Poole's loss and a big one at that.
  20. Not convinced with Klindt in the top five even at reserve if he does not gate hungry riders like Clegg, Bewley,( ect)won't be easy to beat and pass.Has Newman ever been a dominant reserve? i don't think so.
  21. A good list Hamill,Muller,Petersen, Wigg,Schwartz are one's i would query.??
  22. I am Allowed to make a mistake😅😅and a happy Christmas to you.😆
  23. A great post and what a SURPRISE Chris was allowed 😅to go a grave mistake in my opinion. As you said the HL are the most important part of the team now. Also i believe Chris will be a great team player who could help/Lewis/Robert/Josh??
  24. Great stuff BL really enjoyed that i love this section learn a bit and sometimes keep out of trouble.😜😆
  25. Do you prefer the series Iris? i must admit it has grown on me and i was a critic once .But the old romantic in me loved the old WC journey most underdogs had a chance to compete to reach there dream.
