  1. I went to the newer Scunthorpe for the first time last year v Somerset and that was the best racing i saw all year. And by all accounts other forum members have said meetings v Ipswich as an example have been even better a great racetrack.
  2. That is one thing Jacob needs to do improve his away scores. But Doyle/Thorssell are two great examples to anyone keep working hard keep believing and with a bit of luck you can improve.
  3. Berwick if they are more than 16 behind have a tough job on in the second leg Ipswich to win over two legs.If Newman was riding for me it would of been easier for Ipswich it will be close i think.
  4. Carr is not good anough in my view for the top five, Berge if on it will score well but the others are vulnerable.I predict Carr ,Blacklock,Ayres will not score more than 12 between them at Foxhall.?
  5. I know Blacklock has started very promising but i expect the Ippo reserves to pick up points in both meetings. Also Ayres rides tonight for Cradley and comes back from injury so i do expect a few points from Sarjeant,Heeps,Hume,Mountain.
  6. I don't deny the Swindon track has been poor at times but some of your Poole friends are in denial about there own track.??Also these people last year were critical of Belle Vue and there racetrack.
  7. I heard from someone who went to Berwick on Saturday saying that it was superb. The promotion had done a great job great racing the Vissing/Lambert clashes and the meeting finished in a hour and a half it can be done.
  8. He has been scathing about Wimbourne Rd for quite a while, and last years TV fiasco brought it to a head.
  9. It was a good racetrack, now it is up to your promotion to put things right.Looking back to last year how true was Chris Holder's comments at least now he has a decent home track to race on.
  10. Adams with Ruud/J.Wright as( ex) was a brilliant team rider awesome.P.Crump another one a superb team rider Darcy well for his age was a one/off team rider.Watched alot of matches with Shocker last year and we both moaned when Sedgy had gated had done the hard work and Jason would steam by and leave Sedgy vulnerable.I am not knocking Doyley as we are all big fans of his i just hope he looks a bit more for his partner this year.
  11. I am not convinced with your comments??? all i know is i have been to Poole quite alot over the years and seen some great racing. (Ie) The Blue Riband,Test matches (ect).I know riders who liked Poole as a track Malc Holloway for one so Poole has not always been bad every track by the way has been good and bad over the years.Going back to your man Ford,he is RESPONSIBLE to make that track SAFE and raceable for the riders.
  12. What a load of old tosh i first went to Poole in the early 70s,80s,90s and up until recent times and i have seen some great racing at Poole. The last few years the track has gone downhill that has not always been the case though are you a TRUE Poole fan.???
  13. I think you have summed it up brilliantly Mike, a brilliant racing track a good stadium and a really good side with some real young talent to follow for years.I will say this though and you know this better than anyone without Chris/Gordon there would probably be no Belle Vue speedway. They kept perservering with this new stadium project,i just hope Chris can comeback in some capacity and maybe can tell you Aces fans his side of the story.
  14. Good luck to all Aces fans for the season you should be in for a treat this season with the Colts as well. It will be just like the Dent Oliver days.
  15. God you should say zilch after last night's DISGRACE at your beloved club. All i meant was that Morton has not got into a public slanging match and i admire him for that. Your track on the other hand seems like it is only fit for BANGER racing.
  16. A great meeting to start the season with, a great guide both teams look like they will be in the mix come the end of the season.Without Newman it will be difficult but i believe the reserves will decide the meeting tonight.A home win for me maybe the home practice will make the difference.
  17. Chris Morton to me has acted with dignity,i like him as a man loved him as a rider and the club will always be in his heart.I don't know the ins/outs of last year's disaster but i would love him to return to Belle Vue in some capacity in the future.
  18. It looked bad Sam and Briggo was my hero a GREAT in my eyes but did Barry leave him to much room.? To this day i believe Briggs would of won that final Ole might of beat him once but anyway thats history.Persson was a hell of a rider dogged as they come and i put him with Boulger,Eide,Lovaas,McMillan,Harrefelt,Nordin,as riders we often forget all classy.
  19. To be honest Steve i was not a fan of the track but everytime i went there there was always a buzz.I have been to about twenty football matches at the new Wembley and again it is not the same as the old one.
  20. The crowd at Wembley in 1981 sometimes gets questioned the place was heaving as i can remember. An amazing atmosphere god knows how many coaches were outside from all over the country.Great days, as good as Cardiff is it is not on par with Wembley never will be.
  21. I was really looking forward to seeing Lebedev's ride again but these are great changes for Leicester as a whole.Wolbert is no great loss an inigma in alot of ways and he would do no better than Auty/Riss.King and Bates are great signings great that we put our English lads first and this Leicester side will not be everyones whipping boys this year.
  22. Who do people think will improve this coming season, two from each league.Masters,Cook -/Bewley,M.Riss- Jenkins,Hume.
  23. Trigg should of made it to a World Final, he only reached four British Finals he was alot better than that.In a way like Monk,Trigg was very underated one great season at each of Oxford and Cradley a nine plus rider.
