  1. Brett (3) France (2) France had a worldy year and reached a WF some achievement that.
  2. Interesting reading British Final apearances Hedge (8) Monk(4) Genz (3) Pratt (3) Trigg (4) Younghusband (2).Haley (4).
  3. Hedge did he once win a Wills or the International a big prestige meeting.???He maybe a step ahead of the riders mentioned Arnold Haley and Dave Younghusband are two other names who could be mentioned in the same bracket.
  4. With a change at Swindon and Wolves without Thorssell with the side you like i would fancy Swindon's chances.Howe/Schlein are massive risks for me we shall see all about opinions.
  5. Think you are right "salty"he did consider coming back he broke 3 bones in his neck and was told he could be paralysed if injured again.I am sure he did have a spin after a meeting but decided the risk was to great.Looking at Frigbo's stats they are pretty good to be in the WTC squad with the quality around then was some achievement.
  6. To get in the play/offs with Thorssell you probably will without him i have my doubts to be honest. You need him in your team for his home form alone.Lindgren,Howarth,Masters, Skornicki,Schlein,Howe (or someone near to him) ,and another 2 pointer no way is that a top 4 team.
  7. Colin i would put in the Monk,Trigg,Genz,Hedge mould a very underated rider he did reach one WF just like Hedge.
  8. For me the riders that have been mentioned with Thorssell being replaced won't improve this team Adam/Clegg/Greaves need to improve.
  9. I see it that way to Keefy all evenly matched but in 1976/77 Simmo was one of the top riders in the world a class act.
  10. Who will be no1 and represent the Brummies in the NLRC this year.?
  11. Bridger should be a number 1 he certainly is capable anough and going by some of the reports he has been racing well.Maybe once he sees all the tracks he will be fine. Carr for me is not a top five rider being reserve at home he is fine away even at reserve it is hard for him.
  12. This place has so many memories for me been going through all my youth until now.I can't imagine not going to Blunsdon but something at the moment is not right just hope things turn out for the better.
  13. Bridger away needs to pick up,it just shows you how tough the league is.
  14. Thorssell has scored 37 points 14,8,5,10 is it that bad.?
  15. Can Danyon/JPB have a R/R outing? both giving them six outings if in heat 15.
  16. Not a problem with that not one bit,but dont try to convince people it is a poor track because it isnt you better go for a liedown eh!!!😜
  17. But how many people on the forum have said how good the racing has been over a long period.I would swap what i saw there to what i see most weeks at Swindon anyday.
  18. My one visit last year was one of the best meetings i saw all year i also bought the WCSF round on Dvd and that was some meeting as well. You only have to go on you tube and see some of the action on there some brilliant racing Auty v Stead/Berge Auty v Sarjeant/King as examples.Maybe you have been unlucky but everyone i know who has been there have all said the racing was excellent.
  19. Have you thought about this option WK? why not go dont give a hoot about the result and hope that you see some good racing.I am one of the few who actually agrees with you about the double points rule i hate it and the WTCF last year showed what a farce it is.But i go to speedway now just for a night out and hopefully see some good racing the result is irrelevent to me could it be the same for YOU.Such a shame you have stopped going you must miss it and your friends maybe have a rethink.
  20. I think the five are pretty evenly matched WK to be honest and if you added Betts to the list again a very hard call.
  21. People often forget Wilson did score a maximum in a WTC final but he did underachieve on the world scene. My first memory of Wilson was that he was one of a few who could beat Briggs at the Abbey he was that good.As much as i was gutted that Ashby lost in a run off to Willy in 1975 i still supported Wilson/Jansson in the Wembley final i remember he wore his yellow Bostik leathers.
  22. Will the 3 oclock start for the next home fixture affect Josh Auty.It is always grippy it seems at night meetings hope it does not affect him because he relies on being able to pass.
  23. If you see an old man on the second bend Keefy who is bald as a badger come and say hello😅😅Can you remember the gate being there on the first bend when they're was a cheap/expensive side.??
