Swindon - Belle Vue 13 Jul 2017
Sidney the robin replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
A great win without Doyley, Ellis was very good Musielak looked classy the play/offs are not a impossibility Belle Vue well they really disappointed me.I thought Beefy was spot on as usual with his crowd prediction 1,4/500? pretty good really and the racing was ok.On the way home got the KILB book Legend read the first 20 pages terrific any Budgie fan must have it a great read. -
Does anybody on here take SS that seriously anymore ? especially on anything concerning Poole i dont he is cringeworthy. He tries to be the spokesman for Poole speedway but i can see now that other Poole fans are embarrased by his comments and basic outlook on things. His match reports well they are always good for a laugh even with a full team who would expect to just turn up and beat this Kings Lynn side.I wouldnt Lynn are a dangerous side and if they click as they did at the Abbey the other month they are capable of giving everyone a run for there money SS carry on with your match reports keep giving us all a chuckle.

What Are Peoples Opinions Of These Five Legends.?
Sidney the robin replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Years Gone By
Ian Thomas,John Berry,Wally Mawdesley , also deserve a mention Berry was someone i admired alot.He could of made a difference and changed Speedway for the better in England if he was given the chance a chance missed.Dent Oliver also was brilliant at Belle Vue it was such a shame he died in 1973 because his record of bringing young riders through was brilliant and his training track days were a massive success. -
Watching the Budgies at the Abbey on a October night is there anywhere colder in Swindon.!!!

PARKER if not those others can be mentioned LEN SILVER another man i respect alot as a example.

New Averages For 42 Point Limit
Sidney the robin replied to DunRobin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
God cant we have an average change at the last day of the month BPs included. With reserves moving up if average is higher than a main body member how hard is that the RULES are killing the sport. -
Tobiasz scored four points on his one and only visit to the Abbey in 2015 riding in the hard no 3 position including a fall.I remember he was on the pace and i think are balance of the side looks alot better now and really solid at reserve with Adam/Zach.We need to come out on Thursday and make a real statement against the Aces we have an outside chance of the play/offs maybe pipping the pesky Pirates.??🤓😉

Wolves V Rye House 10th July
Sidney the robin replied to Beowulf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I have never been a fan of the place i preferred the track before the changes were made but you have to say it is always pretty well prepared.Tonight was a half decent meeting an interesting night Wolves for me along with Belle Vue are the favourites to win the league. If they can get a decent longterm replacement for Riss that could just swing it for them. -
I am really happy with this signing if i remember rightly Rosco nearly signed Tobiasz before a few years ago but the deal fell through.I hope he can make a difference also this means Adam now can have a few meetings at reserve which is good Musielak is talented i am hopeful he can do well.

George i always put him alongside Jimmy Squibb,Ken Mckinlay he was an elder statesman of the sport but he had total respect from everyone.

Sidney the robin replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Total crap where is this Bully boy rubbish coming from i see Doyle as just a commited rider no more than that.We will see at the end of the season when he is at least on the rostrum and he will more and likely will be No 1 he deserves it after last year. -

This post says it all for me spot on the Poles are at a different level to everybody else they are a pleasure to watch Pawlicki is my favourite he is so frustrating but on his day he is mighty quick. -
Great to see Starke hitting some good form will they replace Klindt ? i always felt he would struggle in a top five even if he was fit.

Speedway World Cup 2017
Sidney the robin replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Your point about Doyle it is total nonsense when Doyley doubled up he took in loads of racing kept fit ie) he had a troublesome shoulder got his confidence up and that helped to invest in his aquipment,Steve Worrall another example has rode three tiers of British speedway it has not done him any harm now Worrall needs more European action chuffed for him tonight.Lambert is another one only 19 his achilles heel is his GATING at this level it is going to be hard but he is quality his time will come.Going back to Doyle he is where he is now because he is a quality rider and nothing to do with having that safety net taken away without the PL he would not be at the level he is now. -

No not in my eyes because our top league there is not alot of difference now between the two leagues now if anything the Championship has a better product more variation of tracks more entertaining. -

I actually think he is ready for it ability wise maybe it is his overall set up aquipment wise not easy or cheap to maintain. Hopwood ,Bowtell,Phillips,Hume,Mountain have competed well so JPB certainly should be able to my belief is in the future he will show us his true ability. -
Who mentioned those two riders.?

Hume lets be honest he had a few amazing metings at the end of last year and before that he lost points in certain meetings by falling. etc losing points but showing his talent.I actually think now the Championship is a pretty good product really tough and any young un even at reserve has to be half decent now to compete. -

I just think the leagues now are naturally coming closer together and maybe one big league could be on the horizon.JPB for me is one hell of a talent and he is a championship rider no doubts in my mind about that but things have not gone right for him at Sheffield. He will get there and hopefully SOON he will take the Championship back on again hopefully with Sheffield.Often maybe in JPB case it is having the aquipment money and set up to do two leagues it very difficult and expensive to..Cookie you would know better than most Hume before his injury was doing great and the unlucky Danny Phillips but there are not many NL riders ready for the step up yet it is a mighty leap.I will predict JPB will be back and will have a good career ahead of him i hope it is at Sheffield. -

Sidney the robin replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I recon it will be really close tonight with Russia being a real danger i think the Aussies will scrape through though. In the final my prediction would be Poland, Sweden,Australia,England. -
Been watching alot of old Hackney meetings on you tube with Hackney and Thommo what great value he was one of my favourites.I can remember seeing Barry ride for England at the Abbey against Russia over the years only went to Hackney about ten times a great night out some really good racing there but one thing i remember it always looked dark there.
