Never stopped going but i did get bored in the early nineties went to home meetings only like now apart from the odd meeting here and there .Jason Crump got me interested again when he started up on a 2.00 point average still enjoy it now but not as much. -

I never see the 67 side "beefy but have this Swindon Robins 67 side memorabilia item with all the autographs of the riders my uncle gave it to me.My only gripe is i have one missing Peter Jackson i so wish i could get it.Going back to the Abbey "beefy did you go to the England v New Zealand test match where Kilb got 16 (beaten twice by Briggo) and Briggs got a 18 point max.?? -
In a Gp now would you say there are about 8/10 who could win any round and at anytime.? In yesteryear in the one off W finals what do you recon 5/6 who could of been a serious challenger so not that much difference really.Saying that the series is in good shape just feel the top eight is going a bit stale could be tweaked some what.

Pete Munday of Swindon was very good in the wet and Dag Lovaas.

Didnt like him riding for Oxford just didnt seem right nice to see him ride of course but it was strange.Going to Exeter like Crash got him out of Briggos shadow and he was a in/out top class no 1 beating the likes of Mauger,Olsen,Briggs along the way. When you think of Kilb have a look back at his testimonial line up top class and the crowd that was there that just showed how much respect he had from riders and fans he was a one off. -
There are so many things that need addressing in British /world speedway so it is hard to know where to start but what are the FIVE issues that really irritate you and you would like to change.Mine are 1./ Averages go back to basics one average every month including BPs. 2./Scrap the double points rule. 3./ One big league meaning more variety and fixtures. - 4./The GP series to change the top eight qualifying every-year open it up stop it from being a closed shop. 5./ The Championship and PL to work TOGETHER not against each other and with as many British riders getting places as possible.

A great win for Poole and by the sounds of it a bit like Swindon rather fortunate but they stuck to there task and they got there rewards.I still think Poole will bring someone in at No 1 Shamek maybe?? cant see this side being good anough Wolves if they get a fit Riss back they will be fine and over two legs will be a tough nut to crack.

Can anybody put the heat details and times of all the Wimbledon v Swindon Sprockets 2003...??? i have a few missing one meeting was the Burrows v Holloway show.

Swindon were not great and were really fortunate i will take that though and with Poole having a great win Wednesday's meeting is not as vital as it could of been. The track i think the potential is there to be a decent one as a spectacle certainly if you were a neutral you would of enjoyed the meeting.Swindon we have a few home meetings coming up so the play/offs are all to play for and over two legs we are in with a shout.Musielak was superb not a surprise to me because a Polish lad i worked with had mechanicked for him and told me just how good he was and that was in his Wolves year.On his average he is a steal but that ride to beat King under pressure was quality also Nick and Batch were great value Batch back as a robin in the future dont bet against it.

I am quarter of the way through this book what a terrific read certainly on par with the Backtrack books and of course they were all superb.Bob i was a big fan of one of my favourite riders along with Briggo and later Holloway and at the time you did not realise how good a rider he was. This book really brings that home to you the pictures also are superb my favourite is Kilb as the Exeter no 1 destroying Briggo at the Abbey no mean feat the book brings back happy childhood memories.

I just looked Steve Greaves average 2.67. Clegg at 2.25 anyway with the nitty gritty part of the season coming up do you think Max might of nicked the extra point here and there.? -

The point i was trying to make the rule that is in place is a joke a reserve is a reserve ok you have to have one Brit which i agree with why shouldnt Clegg be able to replace Greaves.? -

Steve, Greaves had a stint at Swindon had you forgot ? so there ent that much difference in experience.Greaves has also had two seasons at PL level with Sheffield and Workington. -

Riss has to be replaced quite a bad injury and even if he comes back will take time to get back to full speed. Can Clegg come back for Greaves now? or not i feel he could score a extra point or two which could be vital to replace Riss that will be difficult. -
God what a great few days i would give anything for a win at Leicester if we can might ease the pressure a little for the Poole meeting with more points on the board. What i like about this side without Doyley different people can top score which is great get Doyley back and we will really be pushing forward.

Cant wait win here AGAIN and we are really in the hunt Poole fair play to them showed loads of character in there win at Lynn.I think it will be very close but this Poole side does not strike fear into me i would say this is one of there worse sides of recent years. -

If Ellis moves up BWD more and likely moves down which is not a problem Brad this year has rode hard for sometimes little and at reserve can fill his boots for me Wolves have a problem in there reserve berths. -

Why was Bewley not going to do anything last night? he did not score loads but he still impressed me again he has a real riders brain way above his years.
