  1. If anyone was to start out again and make a go of it Bristol would be top of my list god it would be hard but i believe there would be hope.Bristol and Odsal have been bandied about over the years but Odsal i believe would struggle with there crowds i dont believe they would be viable Bristol could be alot though would be decided on where the site was.
  2. Bristol is a massive city "gustix i think they have loads of potential there also with some Oxford,,Swindon,Reading fans going there the potential there is more than you think we shall see.😀
  3. Was saying to Hagonshocker tonight Zach missing could cost us in the play/offs over two legs hope not but at the Abbey certainly. Zach will be hard to replace and by saying that just tells you how important he has been to the team Zach,Fricke both got injured both had geniune injuries. Why cant both clubs get a replacement ? a disgrace to be honest and Belle Vue losing Max will suffer more than the Robins which also is unfair on all aces fans.
  4. A really hard fought home win fair play to the Lions they really made things difficult tonight Nicholls again was great value.Riss was a mixed bag tonight but Riss,Jorgensen (impressive in front),Bates were in the mix tried there utmost and Tungate had one heat win.For Swindon Bomber was excellent give everything Bellego,Musielak,Morris did more than there job the racing was ok tonight ten on the bounce not bad eh!!!! annoying no speedway next Thursday.
  5. Looking forward to my night out but this fixture shows alot of what is bad about British speedway things need to change.
  6. Why is the rule there in the first place ? a genuine injury replace him again the supporters are the one's who suffers more guests and R/R they need to rip up that pathetic rulebook up and start again.
  7. This Swindon side even without Zach will be hard to beat over two legs i thought the home side with a unfit Lambert did well to hold them as long as they did.Monday i believe the home side will beat Somerset and try to push on from there a set of riders who put 100 per cent in is all any of us as fans can ask.
  8. A great win without the best rider in the world cant be bad.
  9. Musielak it is worth going to Blunsdon to see him ride hope he stays in Britain for the long haul classy.
  10. Always thought he had sorted a deal out to ride for Oxford once but it did not happen a class rider.
  11. Sverre Harrfeldt was top class from 65/68 for the old Hammers i always felt Harrfeldt and Arne Pander were similar both so unlucky with injuries.
  12. Would you be saying the same if your promoter had taken the same action? and it could of happened as your track in recent years has been a disgrace at times.
  13. Did that mistake in 72 slightly drifting off the line ( similar to Carter mistake v Penhall 82) allowing Persson to attack cost Briggs equalling Ove's fifth world title? I think so a shame really that brought to an end of a great WC career.
  14. "City --- would you have classed Briggs as a decent gater or not? i think he could gate but alot of my memories of him at the Abbey was coming from the back quite alot and being a real racer.
  15. As you know i am a avid fan of Briggs but he was quite a big guy with a awkward style but for me that is what made him box office really exciting to watch. That is why i always wondered would the technical tracks of been more of a challenge to Briggo where say at Hyde Rd it was not.You could see why that track would be made for him wind it on gate or not and head straight for the dirt going back to 1960 going back over the records Fundin did not lose to many races that year.?
  16. I think today has been a good day all round for British speedway things need to change and quickly. If Doyle is world champion i dont think he will be back next season i hope i am wrong of course but from next year we should only have riders who are really commited to British speedway. At least now the Lynn fans can turn up and the side that has been assembled will give everything they are all racers who are commited that is all any fan expects.
  17. Do you agree with ANYONE that is the question?🤔 anyway cant be assed with you anymore as speedibee would say P... O .. 😂✌️
  18. Going back to 1960 as you said "norbold" it was not a great year for Briggs he even scored only paid 3 at Hyde Rd which is unbelievable to be honest.I often thought were Briggs/Craven better on the bigger tracks? where as Fundin and Mirac were generally the same level everywhere.Saying that from Southampton/Swindon onwards Briggs stats are mighty impressive they speak for themselves i think the hard times he had at early Wimbledon made him the rider he was.
  19. The Holloway/Gresham partnership1981 was a very fruitful one they beat the likes of Collins/Grahame which over time was one of the stronger partnerships.
  20. Does it matter if it is England,Great Britain or whoever, you always do this deflect attention off of the subject you are on about. You killed Woffinden off what's new you said Nielsen was a GOOD rider ( laughable in itself) and said Nielsen was clueless as a manager and was to blame for all Denmark's woes. You are going on IGNORE the first person i have done this to on this forum even Witcher we have had our spats but i do respect him and his point of view to debate anything with you to be honest is depressing.
  21. You are a joke to be honest found out again you always are on speedway matters always found wanting .And your Nielsen comment well we wont mention it again as it shows just how much you actually know funny thing is when knobody else backs you up on threads you just keep digging a bigger hole for yourself HANS was good was he really.🤗!!!!!😤😂
  22. No problem "daytripper" Thanks great for your input Briggs being my favourite ever rider great to hear about how good he was around West Ham.😀
  23. Why even mention the bookmakers odds? do you really think Denmark were the second favourites i dont and if England had been in that round they could of been out as well. You are very very FUNNY by saying Nielsen was just a good rider you said it post 163 really he was one of the GREATS have you been on the ale??
