One of the things i miss about speedway now is missing out on my one or two visits a year to the Shay i loved that venue a great day out.The track was unique fast exciting quite a large home advantage but i see some great racing there i wondered what other people's memory was of the track. As a day out it was one of the best a nice club house serving a nice pint of bitter and the viewing there was very good i would say the County Ground Exeter rivalled the Shay as well also an exciting scary racetrack.

Totally agree maybe the Scunthorpe fixtures clash but at home Auty a much better rider i would say overall Starke better on the away tracks my take is win all your home matches first. -

I know he had a major collarbone injury and that had held him back and i have always believed he never ever rode Poole that well at anytime. But you have to say not in your wildest dreams Ghosty that you would of predicted that he would end up World Champion if so you must be good at predicting the future.!!! -

Doyle has been such a great example for other riders to follow, he has inspired them to improve it shows it can be done.Ok not everybody will end up a world beater like Doyley but the odd sacrifice here and there and riders can improve. Thorssell,Fricke,Cook,Masters, are a few examples that come to mind they are at that stage now, very rarely going back in yesteryear can i remember many riders improve dramically to near on world class. A few come to mind Ian Cartwright and John Cookie Cook( he ended up world class) ,Rick Miller,Ronnie Correy,Troy Butler. (etc) -

Davey has started very encouragingly for the Robins he really has impressed last week riding some superb lines against Belle Vue at the Abbey.Hume will challenge for the no 1 spot for me Danyon just needs to get his race fitness back and enjoy his racing and not to override (i.e. Over try nowt wrong with that). Those two will be getting 20 plus points between them most weeks backed by Bacon, Flint is a hell of a prospect and what little i have seen of Walker there is a rider in there also Cuppit can improve the Brum have a nice little team. -

How was Hume GUB ? what do you think future wise he fell in one race remounted a great return from a horrible i injury want him to have a injury free run a great prospect.Like him to average 9.30 plus NL and if he can average over 5 in the prem in which he can it would of been a great year. -
The Andy Buck i can remember was a rider for Peterborough ( early 70s a mascot??). and later on was a very good rider for Eastbourne a very entertaining one to. Also i can vaguely remember the other Andy Buck who came from the North East and rode for Middlesborough.

Gordon when the rule was announced wouldn't it of been easier to do a list of everybody who might ride in the uk and show the public beforehand what there figure would be.How hard is that go to the list check ie) an example Lebedev rode for Kings Lynn what would he come in on? rules should be in black and white gospel no loopholes but they are not.

How do you expect the season to go Addio ? Bowtell, ,Zach,Morley all to improve as the season goes along and maybe even go into the Top league in a few years time .That is why i hope there crowds hold up it might be possible then Lakeside v Rye House that would be good.

Do you i went there last night to see Bewley and Cookie. and i was disappointed big time.Said to my mate Sommeiler he has to win the second reserve race (Bewley) to get out of jail got clear looked better. For me i want our Brits to progress i want Jenkins,Thomas,Bickley,Hume, Kemp,Edwards,Flint, etc)) to get on Bewley i believe in him he will have a few blips along the way but he will be fine he is at the right club.

A reallly exciting rider a proper rider . RIP Alan.

Believe it or not i quite admire you for having the balls to move away and make a different life for yourself fair play to you.But personally i don't stack shelves but as i have said before nowt wrong with that every job is important.Look maybe i took the banter to far but going back to Ford your points are valid but morally the Kildemand move is so wrong. When they have that meeting in Tennerife do the promoters work together ? do they want to make the sport better or are they individuals who only care themselves and not about the sport as a whole and they will use any loophole to get an advantage.
-
What is wrong with stacking shelves to provide for your family or do you think you are to good for that?
-
You carry on in sunny Aussie until you are seventy enjoy, well i will be retired at 55 now mind you don't get to pissed.!!
-

-
Shrewd really ? give us a break cheating bastard comes to mind you will be nominating Mr Ford for a MBE next licking his asshole big time how is your strawberry picking going in Aussie Pinny.???
-
Steve you live off of this myth on this forum that you try to guile a response off of somebody wind them up goad them into something. But for me you are pretty limited in your knowledge and i know at least 30 people who i respect would rip you to shread in any debate on Speedway your best bet is to stay low profile if you can will your ego allow it.???
-
I want him to do well be great if he could get back to his best, but all the fans want to see is fairly assembled teams as for Mr Pairman he has explained nothing.
-
Kildemand on some of those away tracks would be a better option than CH you are talking about the Chris Holder of 4/5 years ago he has loads to prove.
-
They make the rules up as they go along ok i would rather see Killer ride than see you have R/R because that is all you should have but that is not the point. For me you have three riders on false averages now only Poole have done that this year nobody else has everybody else has abided by the rules apart from your club.

I am really looking forward to tonight i think it will be a narrow home win for the Robins Fricke at his best can fly around the Abbey and it will be interesting to see how Drozdz fares. The crowd is very hard to predict and it will be bloody cold (The Abbey the coldest in Swindon) so i recon it could be between 1,900 - 2,200. ? i hope everyone enjoys there night.
