  1. Do us all a favour and don't comeback leave it to the proper Poole supporters as Gavan pointed out Worrall scored 16 you must be deluded to think you would not miss that.?? Only a third heat leader he is a very important rider for this Vue side and he is ENGLISH so let's support him not knock him.You need to do your research before making comments you often did that last year making stupid Comments about Jacob Thorssell's away form the problem is you are just in your little blue bubble you do not understand the bigger picture.
  2. The Speedway star is very important to Speedway i can't ever imagine not ever having it touch wood it goes on for years to come. The bumper March edition for me people would pay extra for it it is certainly worth it certainly from my perspective.
  3. You have not got a clue have you Worrall this year had started like a steam train he is near on impossible to replace on that average.Away from home he will be greatly missed and it is a massive blow to him and the gelling of the team i have followed Steve's progress ever since he had his year with the Robins to say he won't be missed is utter tosh.As for Fricke i will judge his form around Wimborne Rd when they have a proper racetrack to race on not one that has pot holes on the first two bends as big as Cricket balls. When are you on holiday ??? the sooner the better it will be nice to get a totally unbiased home report on meeting's for a change anyone bar you will do nicely.
  4. If they could do that sort of edition everyweek mate that would be superb i know it probably isnt 't viable. But i have said endless times compared to other papers and magazines it is still great value they must be doing something right to be able to last the test of time.
  5. I still think the Speedway Star is very good value and the start of the season issue is second to none a real nice front cover.
  6. I can't believe how weak Newcastle look maybe they will do better than most anticipate over the years winning at Newcastle has been really tough this year teams will fancy there chances.
  7. If on i think it will be a very close home win it will be very interesting to see how this Poole team beds in.On the forum there seems to be two lines of thought on how the Pirates will fare this year 1/ some feel there are question marks in the team 2/ Poole will steamroller everybody not so sure myself they will be an exciting team to watch.I think if they bring Smektala in in June would he be a 5 ? that would seal it for the Pirates a real talent it would be great to see him ride over here
  8. You ent got a clue so best you say f.. . all.!!!!
  9. This Scunny side will take a lot of beating at home even without Steve mainly because they could have a different top scorer everyweek not reliant on one rider. Can they do it consistently away?? Auty /Garrity/and Allen are key if those three can up there game away i can see it being a great season for the Scorpions. Also with this year you have a great team a great fair track entertainment second to none and exciting riders in Auty/Allen/Garrity to see ride everyweek hope the club get the crowds they deserve.
  10. Was not a a big fan but yes of course Tony Henka and Per both had superb riding styles just like Tommy Jansson.
  11. Thinking back to the 81/85 period there were not to many riders who beat Carter around the Shay i actually thought he was better at Hyde Rd . PC, Lee ( in helmet and pairs meeting) and Poole , Crump, Olsen,Knudsen( who was very good at the Shay) were only a few. Going back to the junior riders at Halifax who got a go Mick Newton, Alan Stansfield,David Clay, Ian Westwell, Michael Graves, Gordon Whittaker come to mind.
  12. Referendum i think you have more chance of walking on the moon than that ever happening.!!
  13. Answer the question you said the Country would be on its knees by now and it not these so called experts like yourself and Carney got it totally wrong admit it.!!!
  14. This is from a bloke who said Brexit would be a disaster and the Country would be going bankrupt and on its ass.!!!!!
  15. Henka was some rider very quick indeed total class, along with Per Jonsson the two classiest Swede's we have seen since the ill fated Tommy Jansson.
  16. To be honest Lisa the Poole fans i have spoke to at Swindon are not very complimentary about Mr S they don't class him as a Poole supporter through/through as long as he does not change and support the Robins again that will do me.
  17. The worrying thing is that you believe everything that you say, wouldn't it of been better to say look i am happy with the team assembled and that you are very hopeful and leave it at that As I have said endless times before you are not a spokesperson for Poole and with all this tripe you squeal it makes it very awkward for the good and genuine Poole fans out there and there are a lot of those.
  18. Thanks Steve can remember Tony Briggs having one of his best away meetings there in his debut season. Before and after that year Carter,Cartwright, Langli,Mckeon,Janke,Baker,Evitts (etc) were all good homesters.
  19. I think the Racers did win there in 1980 or 81 i am sure Kelly Moran guested memory probably playing tricks on me.
  20. I actually believe because Michael was a perfectionist i.e.) wanted everything spot on aquipment wise that went against him at times. That was the reason why sometimes he did not turn up for meetings remember one accasion he was up all night trying to fix his bikes for his Golden Helmet clash at Sheffield with Shawn Moran he didn't make it,You think if he had his career all over again he could get to meetings and 100 per cent just concentrate on his riding in a way Michael was similar to Gollob always hands on on the mechanical side.
  21. What i liked was when you went to the Shay in those days you might only ride the track once a year for a lower rider it was a hard challenge. Our league then was very special the best different tracks shapes different challenges for riders. When you look at Vaculik who has come over to England to learn different things ( i rate him and admire him for that) he would of loved it in yesteryear.!!!
  22. Yes you may be right it is only a short term solution until Damian comes back from injury, for me Auty is a better rider than Starke certainly at home be interesting to see it pans out.
  23. Look i am a big fan of Auty and in that meeting he mixed it very well and he was very unlucky not to reach the later stages. It does annoy me now that Kerr,Rose, etc) get places in the top league( and I like both of those riders yet Auty is better in my humble opinion) and he is better than Starke yet has no place.
  24. Remember reading that Wilson who was a hell of a rider himself took defeat very well against the whipper snapper Lee.I think the first time i ever saw Lee ride was in the Embassy international at Wimbledon he came a brilliant third and later in the year 1976 x2 in a league match and was fourth in the Silver Plume meeting at the Abbey the greatest English rider i have seen(never saw Craven).
