  1. To be honest bruv he was in a tough position tonight he did his job chuffed to bits for Hume/Mountain they scored ten between them. Both were unlucky as well Witches have two good longterm Ipswich riders for the future in Mountain/Hume.
  2. Nasty surely you have more thing's to worry about in your life.????
  3. I have and his time has long gone as i have said before Adams/ Oliver are the best two team managers i have ever known.Boocock/Thomas also are worth a mention.
  4. Have Cupitt and Butcher maybe got a month to push on or will the managerial team make changes.? Or maybe they might take a different stance patience knowing the top four plus Walker will win most matches therefore letting those lads develop.
  5. I think if you win a title like Doyle did by making changes and to be honest he should be a double World Champion you know you cannot take any short cuts.If you put in the graft physically and fail i am sure it is easier to except rather than something in the back of your mind saying if only i had put in that extra yard.
  6. Oliver created a real local feel he was well ahead of his time at Vue with local riders given a chance. The 1972 team of Mauger ,Pusey,Sjosten,Wilko,Collins,Eyre,Broadbelt is still the greatest side i have ever seen.
  7. Could Brum possibly look at Josh Embleton ??? he would be an interesting signing..At home with Hume,Bacon,Flint,Shanes, you are looking at 43 plus points don't see anybody beating them there just think Josh could do well at reserve.
  8. They are one of the strongest teams around but they could improve there team even more if they wanted to.Also Hume/Bacon were not always big hitters they were given a chance at Birmingham what was Hume's average at Rye House 3.70ish ? Shanes comes into replace JPB so like for like really.
  9. The thing that Daniel pointed out is that we are trying to bridge the gap which is great and you have to applaud the forward thinking in that.I have heard great thing's about Olly Allen, and the Poultec training regime has been brilliant for a lot of riders. For me fitness in speedway is the first thing you need without that you have no chance of succeeding the mental side is massive also having a trusted team around you.For me though competition is important like test matches at all levels that needs to come back also regular practice sessions and testing can we ever do that because of the pathetic curfew's.?? We have some real talent coming through but as we all know so have the other countries look at Poland outside of the established Poles they have Drabik,Smektala,Kubera and endless others showing potential.A long haul ahead and it is so much more to it than who is the choice of team manager myself personally i would love England to be a major player again.
  10. Yes totally agree and i would have the late great Dent Oliver on par with Adams.
  11. Rob Lyon really?????? not a hope Vatcher he has my full respect he stays in his-current position a great bloke done one hell of a job great with the youth and he is one hell of a asset to Team GB.Ok Rossiter is not everybody's cup of tea myself included i don't particularly get on well with him but i do respect him though.Another point is Woffinden does not run the show? he rides because he wants to if not stay in exile like i said before unless regular test matches are held and regular training sessions on the riding side are held i don't see us competing to win thing's for a long time.
  12. We are all hopeful but let's not get to far ahead of ourselves we are light years behind and a few tips here and there and gaining an advantage fitness wise means nothing. We need test matches days of practice like the Poles and extra sessions will we organise that.? ( or be aloud to do it probably no)
  13. Let's be honest who is better than Rossiter to take over nobody !!!! Rosco takes crap,Middleditch another one slated his managerial record speaks for itself that is set stone is this job going to be a poison chalice.Rosco has made mistakes we all do but he calls it right on a high percentage of times for me we have Woffinden,Lambert,Cook,Bewley,S.Worrall( if he is the same) not a bad basis to move forward with Rossiter in charge.Look over the years some riders/ managers have not seen eye to eye but do it because they are representing there country have pride for me i don't see anybody replacing Rossiter not on merit anyway.
  14. Birmingham 49 points between three riders they did well tonight but when they get Shanes in they will be stronger.Flint well what can you say !!!! Hume/Bacon are at the level now they will take some beating at home also away they will be formidable.Did not go listened to the radio heard Brennan was really in the mix and Edwards did well in the top five also a mention for Powell 4 paid 8 when just back from a nasty injury also one ride off of 15m.
  15. Morris is riding the better out of the two averaging more and you must of convieniently forgotten Morris took the World Champion apart at the Abbey the other week.
  16. Good post Witcher the last sentence totally correct, yes Auty did have a nightmare meeting at Sheffield a fall and a exclusion but he actually rode well for three points. He put that right in the Semi Final at Owlerton beating Rory(he has been superb) Lambert, Bewley,Howarth can he keep the consistency up ? probably not that is the key consistency Auty 3 Howarth 1 in the 2018 head to head stats.
  17. You are correct Brum average wise the figures don't lie for me Doyle is a great example for any rider to try to keep on improving to the best level possible. Howarth/Garrity,/Auty,/ Worrall/Harris,/ etc) for me are all in the same group level wise and Woffinden,Lambert,Bewley,S.Worrall, Cook are the only five that are clear of the bunch
  18. You are a broken record who knows!!!!! .We all have opinions and for me if Howarth gets a chance then so should Auty as well If i remember rightly Auty did take Kyle from the back at the Sheffield semi, and has had a pretty and consistent year.
  19. No problem you are right Bagpuss in most that say sorry anyway my fault.
  20. Sorry Puss i bow down to your superior knowledge why did you double post.????
  21. I don't think so also Howarth rides at a home track with a massive home advantage i don't see him averaging 6.50 in the top five at any other track.Auty has been a number 1 at Prem level ok a inconsistent one Howarth has not Auty has reached 6 British Final's Howarth 5 so they are like for like.If they had twenty rides against each other at different tracks i know who my money would be on look i like Howarth and he has progressed by going to Wolves but that track still has a huge home advantage.
  22. This year though Bagpuss he has been consistent apart from a nightmare meeting at Sheffield ( where actually he rode well great race on you tube with Charles Wright).Kerr,Howarth,Newman,Wright, have places Starke and Worrall have had rides to Auty should get them also.He got through again to the British Final beating Lambert and others to get there, look i am bias i have been a fan from the start and he has underachieved but all the English riders should be fixed up first.MS at Poole dreadfull ( not cheap) Klindt awful, your club as well have a rider who at this moment in time not good anough,Jeppesen Somerset talented but needs time.English riders in the Premiership and Championship should always be fixed up that is why Steve Howse has a great suggestion for next year.He suggested one or two young Brits ( i.e.) Kemp, Jenkins,Flint,Hume,Mountain, at reserve for every club and there should be places for brits like Howarth,Auty,Kerr (etc) in the top five a great idea.It also could balance the books up a bit more for clubs the GP riders are gone now apart from Doyle a new approach is needed.
  23. Still a better rider than Kyle Howarth though Steve, he took him from the back at his home track Sheffield in the WC semi. Also Auty has more of a chance than Howarth at Belle Vue of mixing it and being a spoiler in the British Final.
