  1. We are all hopeful but let's not get to far ahead of ourselves we are light years behind and a few tips here and there and gaining an advantage fitness wise means nothing. We need test matches days of practice like the Poles and extra sessions will we organise that.? ( or be aloud to do it probably no)
  2. Let's be honest who is better than Rossiter to take over nobody !!!! Rosco takes crap,Middleditch another one slated his managerial record speaks for itself that is set stone is this job going to be a poison chalice.Rosco has made mistakes we all do but he calls it right on a high percentage of times for me we have Woffinden,Lambert,Cook,Bewley,S.Worrall( if he is the same) not a bad basis to move forward with Rossiter in charge.Look over the years some riders/ managers have not seen eye to eye but do it because they are representing there country have pride for me i don't see anybody replacing Rossiter not on merit anyway.
  3. Birmingham 49 points between three riders they did well tonight but when they get Shanes in they will be stronger.Flint well what can you say !!!! Hume/Bacon are at the level now they will take some beating at home also away they will be formidable.Did not go listened to the radio heard Brennan was really in the mix and Edwards did well in the top five also a mention for Powell 4 paid 8 when just back from a nasty injury also one ride off of 15m.
  4. Morris is riding the better out of the two averaging more and you must of convieniently forgotten Morris took the World Champion apart at the Abbey the other week.
  5. Good post Witcher the last sentence totally correct, yes Auty did have a nightmare meeting at Sheffield a fall and a exclusion but he actually rode well for three points. He put that right in the Semi Final at Owlerton beating Rory(he has been superb) Lambert, Bewley,Howarth can he keep the consistency up ? probably not that is the key consistency Auty 3 Howarth 1 in the 2018 head to head stats.
  6. You are correct Brum average wise the figures don't lie for me Doyle is a great example for any rider to try to keep on improving to the best level possible. Howarth/Garrity,/Auty,/ Worrall/Harris,/ etc) for me are all in the same group level wise and Woffinden,Lambert,Bewley,S.Worrall, Cook are the only five that are clear of the bunch
  7. You are a broken record who knows!!!!! .We all have opinions and for me if Howarth gets a chance then so should Auty as well If i remember rightly Auty did take Kyle from the back at the Sheffield semi, and has had a pretty and consistent year.
  8. No problem you are right Bagpuss in most that say sorry anyway my fault.
  9. Sorry Puss i bow down to your superior knowledge why did you double post.????
  10. I don't think so also Howarth rides at a home track with a massive home advantage i don't see him averaging 6.50 in the top five at any other track.Auty has been a number 1 at Prem level ok a inconsistent one Howarth has not Auty has reached 6 British Final's Howarth 5 so they are like for like.If they had twenty rides against each other at different tracks i know who my money would be on look i like Howarth and he has progressed by going to Wolves but that track still has a huge home advantage.
  11. This year though Bagpuss he has been consistent apart from a nightmare meeting at Sheffield ( where actually he rode well great race on you tube with Charles Wright).Kerr,Howarth,Newman,Wright, have places Starke and Worrall have had rides to Auty should get them also.He got through again to the British Final beating Lambert and others to get there, look i am bias i have been a fan from the start and he has underachieved but all the English riders should be fixed up first.MS at Poole dreadfull ( not cheap) Klindt awful, your club as well have a rider who at this moment in time not good anough,Jeppesen Somerset talented but needs time.English riders in the Premiership and Championship should always be fixed up that is why Steve Howse has a great suggestion for next year.He suggested one or two young Brits ( i.e.) Kemp, Jenkins,Flint,Hume,Mountain, at reserve for every club and there should be places for brits like Howarth,Auty,Kerr (etc) in the top five a great idea.It also could balance the books up a bit more for clubs the GP riders are gone now apart from Doyle a new approach is needed.
  12. Still a better rider than Kyle Howarth though Steve, he took him from the back at his home track Sheffield in the WC semi. Also Auty has more of a chance than Howarth at Belle Vue of mixing it and being a spoiler in the British Final.
  13. This year has shown me that sometimes you can try to be to clever when building teams going to much on averages.Go by your instinct when i think Poole could of had Kurtz,J.Holder,Andersen,Woryna, Shanes,C.Holder( ok warranted problem with Chris) and another that side looks far superior to the one now.All Matt had to do was sort his issues out with the Holder's and welcome Kacper in with one more rider makes you think.
  14. It is very tough especially being at number 6 if you fail in heat 2 usually it is going to be a tough evening keep faith he will be ok.
  15. You know better than me Aces but that is one thing that Dan needs to do gradually upgrade his aquipment easier said than done of course His bikes i believe are not the best and a lot of his points he scores are because of his skill and ability.Look i am not for one minute saying his equipment is shabby but it is a expensive sport and it takes time to build your team up and get a great package together to really push on.Even Robert Lambert said ( who has two great parents who back him to the hilt) that he is at least two years off at having a fighting chance in the GP arena so it is tough even Tai showed that in his maiden GP year.
  16. I think that is where you have it wrong, he is not exceptional at the NSS he is very very good of course exciting as well but as Aces 51 pointed out his home average is 7.85 ( I thought it was much higher than that was at reserve for a bit as well) 7.05 away.He holds his own as well away from home really well and is learning fast we shall see in the British Final how far he has come he has a real fighting chance again great experience for him.
  17. Just like the good old days then Addio the crowd love a trier last year Alfie guested for the Robins once and rode his socks off.The crowd really appreciated him he beat Greaves once and was always in the mix early on he is at the right club Lakeside.
  18. Personally Steve i don't so much go by age more on what there background and experience is Burden/Hume two prime examples older but not that more experienced than some of the younger riders.Bickley I think will come good he has good people around him and if he learns has he goes along the tide will turn.Looking at the future your suggestion looks ideal most teams with the same ability wise 6/7 riding against each other and maybe pitching in against a number 2 and 4 would be great. I would love to see two Brits at reserve only if promising anough though.
  19. I cannot for the life of me know why Klindt is getting two meeting's he is a gating tart so frustrating to watch and Poole at this moment in time need battlers riders to roll there sleeves up.Auty was mentioned he rides hard for every point apparently a problem with his average now god knows why??? god damn rules so annoying.Ellis Steve you said he was quick he has been very quick at the Abbey all year and would have an higher average if not for mistakes and letting points slip.Adam is a great asset for the Robins and i believe he will be a in/out heat leader within two years.Going back to your meeting Bickley really struggling for points in the Championship and Burden chipped in with a few. Burden he looks like a very good gater which is a massive advantage if he keeps at it he could improve in time.
  20. Total crap as usual Cook is struggling in the GPS warranted but unless you are Stevie Wonder surely even you have realised that Lambert has been superb this year.
  21. It is not easy to do it on a big track like Belle Vue and to come from the back regularly which Bewley has done also Bewley is not good at every big venue he is still learning his trade.Lakeside is not an easy track to ride but Bewley generally has done ok on the little tracks Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leicester, (etc) today put it down to another learning day for Bewley.People sometimes forget just how inexperienced he is plenty of riders have had nightmare meetings at Lakeside in the past and plenty more will do in the future.
  22. Look at your next 8 fixtures blue you are well capable of winning six of them if you fail basically you are just not good anough.Out of the riders mentioned Thomsen/ Wozniak would be good signing's but i don't see you getting the pole and is there any point replacing riders like for like.
  23. If Josh gets an average that is really low maybe? that shows he is on the down slide his mistake i believe was not doing the Championship.Next year on the same average there could be better options out there.
  24. Jenkins has a lovely riding style and he will go on i suppose another factor we have to consider is there education will come first so they might miss a few meetings.
  25. In my day bloody hell i am old i loved to see riders show there own personalities the leathers often showed that. The biggest five for me over the years were Ivan, Booey boy Blue, Red devil Broady, Alan Cowland and as always John Davis now John Davis would be great in this era a real showman great with the younger fan and was always professionally turned out.People think the 70s/80s were backward times but the monkey mask went black leathers went and new helmets come in which at the time was massive.I think this myth about the sport being miles behind the times is nonsense the main thing is get the PRODUCT right (i.e. the entertainment factor and the racing.
