  1. Totally agree the sport has to act last night seriously made me think that speedway wont be at the Abbey in 2019 i pray that i am wrong.Even if it is there next year who will keep going to watch the dire entertainment dished up.
  2. Got home last night thinking god that was bad embarrassing but it looked ten times worse on the TV. My oldest son was p.....g himself laughing when he saw the smoke on the TV he said there was more chance of passing on the M4.It is the worst tv event i can remember since the EBDON farce at Ipswich in the England test match.
  3. Have i ever watched a worst meeting than that last night i can't remember one the track was an absolute disgrace. The racing over the past three years has been really dire and i don't know what others think but i have got to the stage of do i really want to go everyweek. The tractor was the star of the show and i ended up going home looking like Michael Jackson the dust was horrendous on bend two.The track now is unrecognisable to the one that hosted England v USA test matches a bad day for the sport last night and god knows what BT Sport think.
  4. It was very very poor blueboy but i would say it has to be one of the worst tracks i have ever seen bloody awful.
  5. Should be a home win tonight but we should not take anything for granted the top five will all have to be on there game. With Leicester i can see them sharing races but i dont see to many heat winners in amongst them just hope the racing is better than it has been recently.
  6. Can the public get into the pits tonight as usual or is that a No/No because of BT.?
  7. You are joking i would stick with R/R Danyon might be back in 4/5 weeks?????
  8. Ok we get it you dont like Auty but you cant deny he has upped his game this year the princible is still the same you look after all the Brits whoever it is.
  9. He is a example of why all Brits should be looked after first i cant ever see a local Pole being shafted for a mediocre foreigner can you.?saying that Poole are used to mediocrity in the last couple of seasons.
  10. He had a very good debut season here averaging nearly five points a meeting that was when the tracks in this Country were varied. He carried on riding in the States did well at dirt track but unfortunately was killed in 1975 at Ascot Park aged only 30. RIP
  11. Good old Steve who ent got a cliue what are you on about god you are clueless.
  12. Heard rumours on Thursday and it was not nice to hear, apparently people who bought houses by the pits were told the new stadium would happen they can object now legally.I thought the back straight at the Abbey would be narrowed and houses put upside i worry now bigtime think this might be our last season at the abbey pray i am wrong.!!
  13. A very important meeting this for both clubs Kings Lynn coming off that brilliant away win to win this i believe.Poole I think have to win this meeting to have any chance of getting a top four place. For the Stars Proctor at reserve is a bonus and i have noticed Jorgensen has hit a bit of form lately he is important Klindt for Poole is key as well if the track is grippy even if he gates he can be picked off.
  14. This post maybe shows me you COULD????? be a genuine guy.I have been a Swindon supporter since 1968 but from 1983 until 1989 went to Reading most weeks.Loved the Monday night out and when the track was good Smallmead was decent night out some real good racing.Reading in that time had a couple of years where they were really challenging for the title i remember one year they were there right there to the end in the title race with Belle Vue and Ipswich. To see Per Jonsson develope the way he did was terrific he was worth going to Reading everyweek to see him a real class act Per and Gustafson at Kings Lynn both were classy.
  15. I would say generally the last three years it has been poor and i have said endless times forget the teams forget the averages forget the rules. The sport needs to concentrate on making it a decent night out entertainment comes way before winning or losing at the moment that is not happening.
  16. At least the Abbey hasn't got holes on the first bend as big as football's.!!!
  17. 1969 was that the year the American Dewayne Keeter had his one and only season in Britain.?
  18. The thing that is puzzling ORLOV is that the track looks really nice but the racing this year has been dire.Apart from a really nice cutback from Doyley in one race and Ellis riding his nuts off to get to Arnio the racing was dreadful.Adam this year been really pleased with him improving by the minute and at times looks quick.A real surprise last night was how poor Jake Allen was he has never done anything at the Abbey.
  19. Total nonsense as usual Belle Vue 1972 the greatest side i ever saw they kept the same 1/7 and they won it in the correct manor.Of course you want to win but most fans want a team they can relate to not keep having endless changes.Your club in the last two years chasing the dream endlless changes like Lahti,Kennett,Starke, Zengota, Nielsen, R.Worrall all short term measures.
  20. DC i so wanted Birmingham to win the league when they kept the same 1/7 when Smolinski started at reserve.Be great if a rule was brought in that apart from injury you keep the original starting line up its makes a mockery when the likes of Pawlicki and Hancock come in for the last month or so to push for a playoff win.
  21. Were you there??? are you deliberately trying to rile people on the Swindon thread you are a pain in the ass.On the meeting p... poor racing bored stiff the highlight of my night was having a pint with Hagonshocker a mention for Tobi a class act when on it he was superb.
  22. Are you sure? Tungate,Wright,Howarth all ex Swindon riders none are that great at the Abbey and Stevie W is part of Belle Vue future for along time to come.
  23. Wells was the only one available out of that lot and personally i am not a fan.But fingers crossed we can win tonight and David is back soon i personally think Somerset will win praying they dont.
  24. I think it is because our top five have not always fired Morro, Tobi really like both and David need to improve they are all more than capable those away defeats are also not just down to David also he scored 10 at Belle Vue.
  25. Doyley i am a big supporter of his and cant wait to see him ride tonight. But i can fully understand the route the management went with there team building.Could Swindon really afford a new WC ? i think not and Doyley deserves everything he gets.As for the team i cant see many riders available at the start of the season that would of been better than David. Of course Michelsen, Milik, Lebedev but they are not available the top 5 we assembled also we could not of done that with Doyley in the side.Out of interest hypothetically with Doyley in the side who would you have in place of David who was available.?
