Kings Lynn V Lakeside 1st Sept 2016
DWP replied to Hornsey's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Nicklas is Ok but very sore. Going into bend 3 lap 4 he saw a large stone coming at his head, from Niels rear wheel, avoided it but it hit him just below right collar bone. Adrenaline kept him going to finish the race, but as he wound down after the chequered flag, the pain hit and he pulled up at the end of the back straight. He at first thought he had dislocated his shoulder. In the medics room, we realised with small movements that the shoulder was not dislocated. He will be sore in the morning as the bruising comes out. But with plentry of Deep Heat he will be fit for meeting at Lakeside. -
What makes you think he would want to. Ask Woffy he might double up.
-
I can tell you Porsing wouldn't come back to Peterborough even if offered what he gets in Poland. That's best rumour I've heard all week, we had good laugh reading that.

David Wootton - Nicklas Porsing manager, hope that answers your question

Track was perfect when I walked it. Well watered with grip to start with. Starts grippy. Did become a bit dusty and as always happens got slicker as night went on.

Peterborough V Scunthorpe Pl - Tuesday 12th July
DWP replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
they promised 40 tonnes and clay/shale 6 weeks ago. Riders have complained for two years track is crap. It is crap and management don't give a rubbish. -
So it's mine and Nicklas's fault for this debacle. Ged called me to tell me he had released Nick to replace him with Cook and would I call Nick to tell him he had been sacked by Peterborough and the reason he had been sacked. At no time did Ged say to me, that BSPA confirmation was still required, we need clarification etc. I was told it was a done deed. Nor was I or Nicklas told we should not reveal his sacking to anyone. I had a number of calls to Nicklas in Denmark and I wrote the statement which he approved and he placed on his Facebook page approx. 3 hours after Ged's call to me. Supporters and media have accused us that we released the news because we were bitter. I can guarantee you this was not the case, we released it as it was a fact that Nicklas had been sacked. I am certain if you had been sacked from your job, you would not have kept it under your hat thinking the management had to carry out further tasks get confirmations etc. before you can tell anyone. Many ask for transparency, I have no need to not tell the facts as they were. As I help, manage Nick for no personal or financial gain other than personal pleasure in helping a young man who was instroduced to me 3 years ago when he came to the UK. If Peterborough have made an error, then please don't blame Nicklas, all he has done is tried his best and been sacked. Thank you - David Wootton

As you asked, I will clarify. Yes Nicklas is disappointed to be let go by Peterborough. I'm not going to go through every meeting he rode. However it has to be remember the boy has never been to any PL tracks before other than Peterborough. It takes times to learn tracks and racing lines. On the plus side, not many have overtaken Simon Stead at Sheffield, yes Stead re passed bend 3 lap 4 but that was years of track knowledge. 13+1 at Scunthorpe, 11 from 4 rides at Redcar. RyeHouse he had no idea on such a small track, but had the commitment to go there to view a meeting a week before P/B visited. Glasgow 2-2-1-R due to steel shoe getting caught in Lawson's exhaust/dirt deflector and twisted an old knee injury. His biggest disappointment was at home at Peterborough. He joined Peterborough having done 2 guest meetings and really liked the grippy track. In 4 home meetings the track has not been anything like it was when he guested. And each meeting this season it has been been different every time. Looking at home scores, it has confused all the home riders. No excuses though he and they couldn't find the right set ups and he should have. Nick understands why Ged has had to release him. With Cook's 10.3 average places had to be made to fit him in the 42pts. But we continue to look on the bright side. A number of PL teams have been in contact. However our sights are now on Vargarna in Sweden, Slangerup in Denmark and Rzeszow in Poland. Nick is now able to do all Rzeszow meetings as before Peterborough meetings took precidence. Nick is fortunate that he is wanted in each country and unlike the majority British riders has teams in Poland, Sweden and Denmark. We have enjoyed are 3 years riding in the UK. We have learnt a lot - good and bad. But we move on and will now concentrate on racing in Europe. He has met some great people over here, and he thanks them and fans who have supported him. It is not easy moving to a new country as a 20 year old - criticism can be hard sometimes to take. But he knows you pay your entry money so have the right to criticise. He has always given 100% and will continue doing so. I hope that clarifies it for you. End of the matter now as we concentrate on his European clubs. Thank you David Wootton

Caught steel shoe in Lawsons exhaust / dirt deflector. Steel shoe destroyed luckily knee only painfully twisted. Returned Denmark for treatment, told lucky ligaments not torn. Fact !!

Peterborough V Somerset Pl Sunday 24th April
DWP replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Looking at results home and away. This season and last season. There is a reason why a team can win away but struggles at home. Are the riders poor, of course not. To win the league you need to win your meetings at home and pick up away wins/points. Most teams win at home because they have home track advantage. At Peterborough they don't have it. Every meeting the track is different. The riders have no confidence in their home track. Of course the track is the same for all 14 riders, but a home rider walks the track before the meeting and finds the track different to the previous meeting and the meeting before that. It plays with their heads and bike set up. So their Confidence is low before the start of the meeting. All the riders want is a consistent track, make it totally slick or make it grippy but make certain it's the same for each meeting. -
Peterborough V Ipswich 28th March 2pm
DWP replied to ZODIAK's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Got to love a conspiracy ! I was called by Lisa to say Ged was meeting the Showground management at 11am this morning. Heard soon after that the Monday home meeting was off due to Health & Safety. I called Nicklas, who was leaving Denmark tomorrow to drive back to UK for the first three Panthers meetings. On hearing Monday was off, we contacted Stal Rzeszow to inform them he was now free for their home meeting on Monday against Lodz. He will now drive back to UK next week in time for the away meeting at Sheffield. So no conspiracy, that he or other riders would prefer to ride for their Polish clubs rather than be at Peterborough. Peterborough meeting was postponed and he wants to ride, so possible to go to Poland instead. Thank you David Wootton -
My apologies I put it on a few forums, I'm new to this and thought I was just putting PL page. It's an age thing !! My services are totally free to him.

I'm not sure how accurate reports of squads are. However I have worked out as fixtures stand, that Nicklas could do 9 meetings for Lynn, where there is no schedule clash. His 2015 Stars kevlars are hanging in my office, should a request be made. Peterborough are his UK team this year and his aim is to be the Panthers No.1. At present he cannot double up as he doesn't have an official PL average plus his Swedish team Vargarna race Thursday nights. Vargarna really look after Nick, so he has great loyalty to them, so there is no question where he races on a Thursday. He also has Stal Rzeszow in Poland which he is available for 13 scheduled fixtures as it stands at the moment. As a Lynn asset, this year is about getting back on track in UK, proving himself at Peterborough and stamping his place for the Stars in 2017. No it wasn't - Mads rides for Varde in Denmark. They race Friday's

A good pre-season home and away - good practice for the riders and the fans would enjoy it.

See that number fans are discussing that Nicklas Porsing has signed for Polish club Stal Rzeszow. I was involved with Nicklas in him agreeing to sign for Rzeszow, our agreement with the Club was that Peterborough meetings take precedence over any of their meetings. We gave them all the Peterborough fixtures so they are clear when/not available. At present he is available to ride for them for 8 meetings and depending on play off situation/dates for both clubs he may also be able to ride for them in any play offs. Before signing in Poland, we discussed this with Dale and he was happy for us to continue. At present the only meeting clash is a PL away meeting at Ipswich. This clashes with a meeting for Vargarna in Sweden. Vargarna had this date in diary first, so under FIM rules they have precedence. However Peterborough are trying to see if this meeting can be changed. So Nicklas will be doing all Peterborough meetings except Ipswich away, if this cannot be changed. I hope this gives you peace of mind, that Nicklas is fully committed to Peterborough. Originally he was doing Peterborough, Vargarna Sweden and Denmark. However signing in Poland fits in better than doing Denmark. So Nicklas will only ride in Denmark on the odd occasion that a club needs a guest and the fixture fits in with rest of his schedule. Many thanks - David Wootton - Nicklas Porsing manager

I thought you Peterborough fans would like some facts re Nicklas Porsing. His Polish team Ostrovia (who he had a 2 Year contract ) went bust before Christmas. He has had offers from 3 Polish teams, however with the changes in Polish speedway, as it is basically bankrupt. We decided that Nick didn't need the stress of travelling weekly to Poland then finding he never gets paid. Dale Allitt is very keen on Nick and can see his potential and has been talking to Nick and myself for 6 months. Last season Nick was unprepared at Lynn, due to this he had a bad first half of the season. He will admit this, and now knows with talent you also have to put in hardwork. He learnt more from this than possibly anything else and this season he will be fully prepared with equipment and fitness, with good and bad experiences comes maturity. He had a great season last year with Vargana in Sweden helping them and Ostrovia to play off finals. At Lynn things just didn't go right, but we know why. This season with Peterborough he is fully committed and not doing Poland in 2016 it cuts down his travel and the exhaustion this brings. (72 Ryanair flights last year ) Not doing Poland enables him to race Sunday's in the UK. Sweden is Thursday's and Denmark Wednesday's, so this enables him to race all meetings. I know Nick well, he is at his best when fans are behind him. I've seen him beat every SGP rider on the track, not just from the gate but going round them on the fence. so get behind him and he will prove to you why Ged and Dale wanted him. I know I'm biased, but you have got yourselves a real star and a real racer. He will do the Panthers proud. If free come and meet him tomorrow night at the Panthers supporters meeting. Thank you and looking forward to seeing you at the Showground this season. Regards David Wootton - Nicklas Porsing Manager there you are, fans ask for facts, you give some facts and you are accused of defending a rider before he's started.

I looked back, Porsing scored 12 and 8 with a tape exclusion when he guested for us. I know Lynn think a lot of him, just needs more experience and confidence. Personally if it's true I think he will do a good job for Panthers.

Leicesters biggest problem is Saturday racing. Saturday does not work for most riders. If Elite league in 2017 is that all teams must race Thursday and teams don't or won't do it, then they have to change leagues. If Elite league goes down to 5 teams, so be it. But to have any chance of attracting the best, then a UK single race night is a must. If we are to have a strong Elite league then this is the only way to go. This year 5 SGP riders in Elite league. 2017 could be 1/2 if we don't go to a single race night. If that happens what's point of having an elite league.
