As I understand team will be announced in one go at supporter meeting first week December. Date will be announced soon.
-
I don't know this, but that's what I think will happen
-
Most Danish teams ride Wednesdays, exception is Varde Outrup who ride fridays. I hope we keep to Thursdays, but this clashes with many Premier league clubs and then would restrict us with any riders doubling up.

4pm Thursday 20th - Well I'm at Stansted to meet his flight from Rzeszow. And yes his 2 UK bikes are here. We delayed returning them to Denmark when meeting was postponed from 7th Oct. Bloody hope this meeting is on as we have carried out all our obligations. 2x flown here so will not be happy if later cancelled by Leicester.

Time To Stand Up To The Polish Clubs ?
DWP replied to Countershaftcounter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just spoken to Niels. Has signed nothing yet. But the rule is as proposed at the moment. He can do Poland, Denmark then Sweden or Uk. In 2018 even worst Poland + one other league. Not happy -

Time To Stand Up To The Polish Clubs ?
DWP replied to Countershaftcounter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If I understand this correctly. A Dane who rides in Extraliga in Poland can also ride Sweden and his home nation Denmark. Or like many Danish riders who live in UK, would they be able to do Poland, Sweden and UK. Not good for Danish speedway. This comes down to what you call their home nation. Nation of birth or nation where domicile for tax purposes ? I don't know the answer. BUT THE BIG QUESTION - Australians. Again as I understand it. Many(most) to ride in Europe are resident in the UK and are allowed to stay here on a UK work visa. I believe then, that they have to ride for a UK Club. So should they decide to ride Poland and Sweden, what is their National league ? UK ? As it can't be Australia. If it is not the UK and they do not ridehere, but are here in UK on a work visa. Will their visa be revoked. I see C.Holder has today said he has no plans to leave Poole. Doyle I understand has a 2 year contract with Swindon. If both these riders therefore do Elite league, so they can do Europe on their visa, then the Elite league cannot be watered down with no SGP riders, as has been rumoured. If this is the case then each Elite league team will have to make every effort to get a real no.1 as without one, a team is considerably weakened. If the UK does not count as their home nation (Australia can't be counted as it) then to comply with their UK visa they will have to do UK and either drop Poland or Sweden. If they drop Poland they could do UK, Sweden and Denmark. As they cannot do Poland, UK and Sweden under this Polish proposal. Kurwa!! I don't know the answers to this dilemma. But if my thoughts are correct the Aussies are F*^ked or and the Poles shoot themselves in the foot. -
Out of interest what's Porsing's average as did 2 Lynn meetings in 2016 - Polish average 7.32 last EL average 4.7? PL 6.58

The Collapse Of The Pound And The Effect On The El
DWP replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The fall in the pound to the Euro and other euro currencies is very advantageous to those UK based riders ( who live, pay tax and Vat in the UK ) and who ride in Poland, Sweden and Denmark. The Zloty, Swedish and Danish kronor are linked to the euro. These are the currencies they are paid in, in these countries before international bank transfer to their UK bank account. With the pound falling this is giving them a 10% plus pay rise when money transferred to the UK. However what the pound/euro rate will be come summer 2017, is anyone's guess. Of course a rider, who races here but lives on mainland Europe and has his pay transferred to his European account, will lose out by the same amount. -
Yep it's off Nicklas had spoken to some Leicester riders who said they weren't bothering to turn up for it. He was about to get on flight to UK, so I contacted Dale and he confirmed it was off. Understand Kings Lynn tried to get new date, but Leicester knew none of their riders wanted to ride. Leave you to guess why their riders didn't want to ride. But it's not difficult and who can blame them.

I dont know what Emil's contract was per point with czestochova. But I think I'm correct it was irrelevant as Czestochova went bust and he was owed 350,000 Euros. I believe he never got it.

Some teams pay riders a good signing on fee ( not all though) This is paid usually in March.. Team riders are named at beginning of the week for the following Sunday. Travel money is paid if named in team and rider / mechanic travels to practise/meeting (flights and van costs ) Polish teams have squads and many like riders to practise on a Friday or Saturday to finalise the team. As has been seen with British riders this year, if you don't perform straight away, you're out and other than injuries, you're unlikely to get another chance. Yes pay in Poland per point is substantially better than UK. But getting paid regularly is a problem, with many riders having to wait til Christmas til they are fully paid for the season. In some cases clubs go bust and they get nothing. Some of the figures I've heard in pits re the amounts owed are unbelievable, you wonder when owed that much riders continue to turn up. This is not first time Polish clubs have come out with questionable rules for the new season. Usually they disappear. This rule of only 2 clubs has arisen before and nothing happened. Most Swedes/Danes/Auzzies etc. Ride Poland/Sweden and Denmark with many also doing the UK. It is entirely possible if this rule brought in, a rider could choose to ride in Poland and Sweden and quiet possibly not get paid all season by either. Some Swedish teams don't pay also. Riding 4 countries at least gives riders a cash flow should a team not pay them. If all riders get together and say to Poland none of us then will ride Poland and just do UK, Sweden and Denmark - they will soon change their rules. Plus certain as riders all Self-employed that this proposed rule, breaks some EU employment law. My guess this will blow over and riders will continue riding in the countries they wish to ride. With respect - as we know Buster was voted in as Chairman after the rules for 2016 were made. For that reason Buster has had his hands tied behind his back all season. In my opinion taking a lot of unfair flack from supporters. I have spoken to Buster numerous times throughout the season and at times felt he could "throw in the towel -and walk away" But he won't - he wants to get speedway right. With the season as near as damn it over, there has been a lot of discussions and I think we should all give him the chance now as Chairman to make his mark. Certain we won't all be 100% happy, but if he gets his way to scrap the rule book and write a simpler version it will be a start. But remember he's only Chairman and the BSPA is run by committee, so the dinasours could vote every new change out and we will be back to square one. God help the sport if this happens. But until we hear the proposals please give the guy a chance.

Be patient. We have heard of a date - management now checking if riders available. They cannot announce date until they know all 14 riders are available. Once this is known it will be announced. David Wootton/Nicklas Porsing

Kings Lynn V Poole Elb 13/09/16
DWP replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not true. Scored 3-2-1 but knew in his first heat he was not comfortable on the bike. Then having two rides on the trot, he knew he was not 100% in control of bike. In our discussion he knew "he was an accident waiting to happen - to him or to another rider" He thought the broken rib had mended but the power of a speedway bike soon told him, it was not. In pain and throwing up, he decided to withdraw for his and others safety. Thank you - David Wootton Manager Nicklas Porsing -

Sorry no I don't know if Lynn have broken any rules re Kai. The rules are so bloody complicated, I wonder if anyone does understand them. I do know as Nicklas Porsing manager that, Lakeside accused Lynn of breaking the rules by using Nick at No.2 last week. So I understand they wanted a re-run of meeting. It was pointed out to them if they had a re-run and Nick was at 6 (where they thought he should be ) then instead of the 9+1 he scored, at No.6 he may have scored a max 15 and that would have scuppered the away point they got. They decided they didn't want the re-run (funny that !!) Next Tuesday at Lynn Nick will ride -

Your quote " Even the management couldn't be both to attend " Facts - Rob had a prior arrangement which he needed to be at, this was known well in advance - so no problem as Dale would Manage team. Dale's mother was taken ill the day before and rushed to hospital for an operation. Hence his reason he couldn't be there. I assume if your mother had been taken ill you would have said "f*^k her" I'm going to the speedway. Even Rosco put out a stupid tweet last night, saying "white flag out from Lynn management" Get facts before making crass comments -

Speaking to Buster. He can only think that the stock cars pulled up the brick and that it lay just below surface when the track was prepared. I and Nick walked track before meeting, other than start it was slick with quite a few small stones (gravel) - larger stones and bits of stock cars (nuts etc. ) were being removed. Buster thinks that when he graded track after ht10 he must have lifted brick nearer the surface. Usually any large stone like this would be lifted and remain in grader, to be picked out. We think brick was possibly not visible, but NKI spat it out and unfortunately for Nick it hit him. He said he saw it coming and moved his head away before it hit his shoulder. He thought he had been shot ! The actual pain didn't hit him until he had crossed finishing line and then it was a case of staying on slowing the bike down. So that why he pulled up on bend 3. At first he told me on the track that he thought he had dislocated shoulder, but with movement in medic room we knew that was not the case. The laughing gas works, so pain subsided and when we got home and he applied arnica to help with bruising. He wasn't keen to sit a few hours in A&E for an X-Ray, so we decided to see how it was when we got to Poland. Sunday morning in Poland, we could see bruising had come out and he said it felt OK to race. Ht1 he knew not right, as bike pulled from the start. His 2nd heat, he hit a rut and locked up the bike which caused great pain. His 3rd heat as he came into bend 1 he knew he couldn't hold on, so got off it. Again he didn't want to go to hospital, but I insisted as I thought he had a cracked collar bone. In the pits he was in tears with pain and medics gave him some strong pain killers. Eventually I persuaded him to go for an X-Ray - Polish hospital excellent in/out within an hour. Diagnosis - 1sr rib below collarbone cracked in two places. So not surprising it hurt. Now in Poland having oxygen tent treatment and electrodes. Plan is to be fit for Tuesday at Lynn. Hope that gives you all the facts. No one to blame, just bloody unlucky. Though he blames Niels for riding that line !!! Ha ha!! -

Yes Nick rode in Poland. Dropped bike in 3rd heat 1st bend as unable to hold bike. Right arm dead. XRay showed 2 fractures in rib just under collar bone. We have since discovered that it was half a house brick which hit Nick on Thursday. Thankfully it was his shoulder, as if it had hit his head, I hate to think what might have happened. With the speed it came off NKI rear tyre and forward speed of Nick, it probably hit him at well over 100mph. Nick is still in Poland being treated in oxygen tent and electrodes. He aims to be at Lynn on Tuesday to ride against Poole.
