  1. According to his father Tai Woffinden will ride in all three Pardubice meetings and also the Tomicek meeting in Prague on the Monday.
  2. Have not stayed in Kolin. I'm in Lazne Bohdanec again this year but not at Hotel Technik (Vitek's). In a guest house which is next to the Town Hall so its last silent death (Trolley Bus) out at night from Pardubice.
  3. There are a number of Rye House and Edinburgh fans staying in Kolin which is on the main line from Prague to Pardubice.
  4. I received the message below from Graham Reeve around a month ago an thought I'd share it with you as another way to raise money for the BEN FUND. At the present time there are 15 people donating. Go on try it out. "Hello I have just started using a new search engine, Everyclick.com,that gives money to charity. Please give it a try - it's a great way to give everyday and it doesn't cost you a penny! All you have to do is choose which charity you want to support, make everyclick your home page and then use it whenever you search the web or shop online. Please give it a go and if you like it as much as I do - pass this message on! I chose The Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund - if you haven't got a preference please nominate them. Thanks Graham"
  5. Might well have agreed with you if Workington had been treated in the same manner for the fours regarding Stonehewer.
  6. Page back up and it would appear that as by magic Edinburgh have been replaced by Newcastle.
  7. Hang on you Sheffield types - get off your high horse. Your team must surely get in now that Workington have been seriously enough weakened (using real time qualifying averages). With Hansen dropping out there who is next in their averages to come in. As Carl Stonehewer has not ridden this season his 'real time' average for 2007 is 0.00. I'm puting the flak jacket on now
  8. Not on the Plymouth site either - mind you a lot of fixtures missing from their list.
  9. This would be fine but many of the hotels will only accept a two night booking.

  11. Believe there had been six call offs by Saturday lunchtime. Will we see the same for the restaging?
  12. Not wanting to trivialise the injury sustained to Dan I looked to the rule book to see what the rules are regarding the starting tapes. BriG says in his original post "I have heard that there is a shortage of the official tape material and that tracks are using other stuff." From the Rule book Rule 9.4 "The Starting Gate, operable only by the Referee, shall support 2 or 3 cotton tapes (but not linen, plastic or other material likely to cause injury to a competitor colliding with them).... Other than saying cotton has to be used, no reference to grade of cotton (if there is such a thing) is specified. I believe all tracks do comply with the rules and that a rare incident, as in this case is very unfortunate, but you cannot legislate for all eventuallities or we wouldn't be going for our regular fix of speedway. As a matter of interest the Edinburgh electrician spent half a day finding the fault which if you remember your physics from school days (a long time ago in my case) involved coils and magnets. Hope Dan gets back racing soon. Bill
  13. Thanks from the small number of regulars who clear up after the Devils meetings to Chris Widman's Dad for giving us a hand on Saturday. Very much appreciated especially after the kind of day they had.
  14. Heat 23 was 58.7 All times on the night were truncated to 1 decimal place.
