  1. Just spotted why you asked. No apparent injury last night but suppose he may have hurt himself loading his van as others have in the past. Unfortunately will miss meeting while I sit in a pub about 200yards from the old County Ground, Exeter
  2. Just as well the Devils didn't get their act together earlier. Some excellent racing though. Those that criticise the Plymouth track size as not good for racing are talking through a hole thats not in their head.
  3. Believe that Castleford have withdrawn from League as Pete Hibberd cannot obtain a licence. http://www.castlefordspeedway.co.uk/
  4. Rule 16.5.1 A Team may utilise a "Facility" to cover the absence of a Rider who:......... E is sick or carrying a non-speedway injury for which a Medical Certificate must be supplied to the SCB within 48 hours of the sickness/injury in which case the Rider may only return within 7 days (including his Team's next home meeting) with the express permission of the MC.........
  5. Anywhere I can get results of last meeting and will future results be posted anywhere?
  6. That was not the line up for the final. Mr Dowling has made an error in completing his programme
  7. Unfortunately neither of your two juniors were there. But was at the meeting I would prefer to be at today no Elite or Premier prima donnas to watch just good raw talent. Good to be joined on the terraces by supporters Chris Goulding and Les Drury from Kent. Rreal speedway supporters not like many locals.
  8. Shame to see so many from both Edinburgh and Glasgow on here when there was some really good talented youngsters who SHOULD HAVE HAD YOUR SUPPORT riding at Glasgow today. Best meeting I've seen this year.
  9. Any word of these fixtures being released?
  10. Clearly the problem was a referee could not read and adhere to the rulebook. That is where the problem arose.
  11. Assuming Davey is given UK Citizenship he will then have to apply for a British Passport and that could take a while to be issued.
  12. When doing their solo runs Dan Bewley had the fastest time.
  13. Clearly the answer is to object unless a written guarantee is given for a new venue. Reasoning being that it was suggested by the council that there should have been objections put in for the adjacent estate before it was built.
  14. Originally an abattoir was built on the site. It is now a meat and fish processing plant
  15. WSRA (Scotland Committee) have been in contact with James Tannock regards donations. We felt that it would be better that they go to SRBF and that would be very much what Jimmy would have liked. James agreed and has since been in contact with Paul Ackroyd. Details from gustix are correct with the one change Donations can be made to: Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund
  16. Sad day. The WSRA were made aware of Jimmy's poor health and were advised to expect the worst but that doesn't stop the shock of losing a good friend. If Jimmy recognised you, he never passed without acknowledging you, no matter where you were. A true gentleman. We will sadly miss his chairing of our meetings and his being the MC of our annual dinner in Livingston. It will be a sad night next March, when we don't hear is voice on the mic. RIP Jimmy
  17. Why worry Ekimba - don't think you support Armadale now.
  18. Actually we are talking about Armadale Speedway which is the official title and the name which is used on all official paperwork. It just so happens that Edinburgh Monarchs Speedway Team hold competitive meetings there.
  19. W Dishington will not be ref in either meeting. His is out of the country until Saturday and was at Armadale last Friday. Should not think J McGregor will be ref at Ashfield as he has been there in recent weeks. Believe that referees can only be at a track once every four weeks. So looks like he may be at Armadale
  20. Former Linlithgow Lightning rider Ian Milne can be seen in a BBC2 documentary next Friday, October 16 at 9pm. Ian, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a number of years ago, struggled with pain for eight years before being referred to Strathcarron Hospice for help to find an effective relief. He visits the hospice each friday before travelling on to Armadale. With all his personal problems it is alway a cheery Ian you see at the speedway, more than often with his former team mate Neil Hewitt.
  21. Masters won heat 13. The Presenter announced what he had thought he had seen, possibly as it was across the tapes, but with the finishing line being slightly further along the track the result was different. The Presenter should NOT be announcing results of races before the referee gives his decision. The regular announcer, Scott Wilson, has been fined for this in the past.
  22. No Glasgow just have to play fair. Rather than delaying until Edinburgh are without 3 riders. I'd like to hear the Glasgow Promotion deny that is their tactics. Will only be proven by early agreement of fixtures.
  23. Has the first blind referee been appointed? No red lights!
  24. Bit unfortunate you single out the Clerk of the Course thus implying that the rest of us are unhelpful/rude. As a member of staff I don't consider that I'm rude - well maybe Scott Wilson thinks so - maybe you think I'm useless at my job. I'm ok with that but rude and unhelpful I am not. Please read your posts before hitting the send button and consider what you are saying.
