I personally think the racing at Leicester gets a lot more stick than it deserves... yes, the track isn't the most conducive to racing, but the passing isn't as infrequent as everyone suggests. A lot of the people that criticise it have been once or seen it on tele and just jump on the critical bandwagon because its the done thing. It's not the best race track in the country, but the fact some people claim that they dont visit leicester because of the racing is a bit ridiculous IMO. Ive been to most elite league tracks watching the Lions and dont feel theres that much difference between BP and other circuits. Yeah, sometimes the person that gates might just win the race, but its a lot easier to win when youre already ahead!

10 days til the promotion believe they'll have the final 3 riders announced. I assume this means they'll be announcing a couple, if not all 3 riders at once, because they're running out of time to meet the deadline that they themselves set!
-
Not if that Pole is Gollob... It won't be, but I imagine the polish population of Leicester would be there on mass to support Mr G
-
You're right, should be getting desperate. I don't know who the rider is, but I'd be happy with Pepe protasciewicz. Would that leave room for stead and zengota to complete the team?
-
Well the good news is Bjarne and Mads have signed for other teams, so won't be giving it nothing, tootling round at the back. If lakeside don't have Lawson as their last rider, I'd be happy with him at second string. Hopefully Wozniak at second string too if we can find a couple of heat leaders... Not sure I can see anyone from the list published by the bspa signing for us though

Jan Graversen? Ilia Bonderenko?

A lot of people saying they wouldn't want Kenneth Bjerre, but do you not think on an average between 5 and 6 (I don't know what it is exactly), he'd actually be a steal. If you go into the season expecting him to score double figures every meeting and be a heat leader, you'll be disappointed. If you go into the season, with him as a second string, you realise he'll probably increase that average and has the capability to win you meetings as he'd be a second string with the potential to beat anyone in the league on his day. Just a thought, but if we had him as a second string at Leicester, as his average would probably be... I think it'd be a steal!

Not supporting Coventry, see, fitting in well with Leicester already!
-
I'll have to get down to Brandon and support which ever team is racing against cov each week then!
-
'School or College' so its for those students that still live at home and get everything paid for by their parents! Attracting university students would probably get a good few on the gate
-
There aren't student rates at Leicester. Know it's always been easier for me financially going to Cov than the Lions for that reason. Can hardly afford me dinner, let alone tickets to watch our lot get smashed! Surprised it isn't a lot cheaper for students, would attract a young crowd and they'd probably put a fair bit behind the bar too!

I appreciate it's highly unlikely, but nothings impossible. Yet to be announced by Kings Lynn, so you never know! Would be a great rider and person to have on board
-
Couple of Lions frequently used guests last year still available. Would you be happy with Lawson and/or Schlein in the team? Think Lawson would be useful if he classed as a second string. Rooboy would be good if at number 5, provided Wozniak isn't on the hidden heat leader list. I think both are probably unlikely, with Lakeside and Kings Lynn being their destination of recent years. But hypothetically, adding those 2 and THJ (as seems to have been suggested), we'd look pretty good IMO
-
Think Jakub Jamrog might be available...
-
Think KK and Harris will be needing paid 15 a meeting (except against Leicester of course!). Worry for your reserves, definitely the weakest pairing in the league. Coming up against Poole and Lions reserves especially, where I think their second tier riders probably challenge (or better) your tier 1
-
I wouldn't take it personally, it's the same Batchelor that's moaned about everything and anything to do with speedway
-
Glad to hear that. Clegg deserves another shot at the elite league. Think Wolves fans will have to be patient with him. Ever improving.
-
Ahh okay, thanks. Thought I had read that somewhere. Nielsen would be one of the other tier 2s I assume. Probably Sarjeant as the other, would be my guess
-
So the management are confident of completing the team before Christmas. Who do we expect to see? Sounds like THJ, Ben Barker and one other. Assuming that person isn't a double upper as we'd already have Auty Starke and Barker.
-
Wouldn't be overly surprised if it turned out being harsher on Clegg... Bates rode for Wolves last year and might fit in their team in place of Clegg, a move I wouldn't be surprised if they made. Although I think Clegg would be the better option. Not as likely to win races, but far less likely to bin it in the fence and throw away points
-
I thought only 2 riders picked weren't in the tier 1 of the draft. Presumably those riders would be Clegg and Rose
-
Glad Walasek is back, sure he'd have been in demand from some other clubs too, was quality for us when fit last year. Probably club captain Id have thought. I'm trying to remain optimistic, as its so far looking strong, a better reserve pairing and an improved Wozniak. Just hope Gregorgz isn't our number 1, because he was brilliant at number 3, but if he was leading the charge it wouldn't benefit us or the team

Bjarne looked well off the place and was not up for it at all in the elite league last year.. But I don't know if that was due to a falling out with Lions management. If he was back to his best, he'd be a solid, second heat leader. If he's anything like last year, he'd be the first to drop from heat leader to reserve!
