whats your opinion skids on whether the stadium itself will be sacrificed for development? think weve all accepted the car park or part theirof will be developed, but the actual stadium? just seems so wrong.Agree with arthurs point about poole council, they and the mayors have been brilliant for the speedway but of course they are no more, dread to think what the councillors for bmouth and xchurch think about "those noisy smelly motorbikes"!! (theyd probably prefer a croquet lawn on the site lol) -

somewhat patronising as usual skids, what your saying is "my team will be in the play-offs but yours wont"nah nah n na na,my teams sponsors are bigger than your teams and my dad was bigger than yours cause he was from poole -
i just assumed the two lowest average riders would have to be at reserve ray
-
funny old game mike i thought kemp and zac cook would outscore palin and ablitt round wimborne rd,can see a very close and entertaining match though

an assessment of my team would be,three heat leaders excellent though theyre not going to score 12pts each every meeting as some think, cooks at second string will do the job at home but will ride some stinkers away, reserves are weak, drew were being told is on a "bargain" average but it is a true average over quite a few meetings and young nathans primary job will be to beat his opposite number in heat2,will do brilliant to get his average over 3, but will get plenty of support from fans.which will mean an unbeaten league campaign at wimborne rd plus 3 maybe 4 away wins which should be enough for top two !!! jmo -

if i was a glasgow fan would be very pleased with the team however as an observer feel there are question marks over each of the three "matchwinners" craig is an outstanding rider but outside factors can seriously affect his form, ulrich is returning after a nasty injury, not easy and will ben produce the massive improvement being forecast ??? -

be prepared for a year of southern dominance, oxford, plymouth and poole the top three in any order,no levelling up in speedway!! -
or perhaps a good asset if glasgow move up in the future
-
could we send 3or 4 over on a free transfer??
-
its a vicious circle, teams that consistently make the play-offs in any league generate an end of season cash bonanza thus providing funds to operate a strong team the following season, those that dont usually field weaker teams and so the cycle continues
-
have just returned from a mornings fishing in poole harbour, wrong time of year knew wouldnt be any good,3 of us not one bite all morning, but lovely weather like i say not ONE bite, which is totally the opposite to what happens on this thread easiest possible fishing, bite after bite.3 or 4 idiots post garbage posts and 5or6 genuine poole supporters who are the most frequent posters on here always plough in with responses, please poole fans however strong the temptation never respond, they will leave then in search of easier more gullable prey,be like the real live fish DONT BITE.
-
cant see any way poole town willbe back at the stadium, true wimborne have new stadium and dorchester had stadium built by tescos but those clubs had a negotiating position poole fc have nothing to put into the project jeez theyre just renting a school playing field for their games.bcp wouldnt put a halfpenny into the club, pretty certain osborne wouldnt want anything to do with another football club ,just cant see anyway forward for the dolphins sadly, will have to accept their non league level.Wimborne fc off today waterlogged pitch now off to hamworthy for their top of table the clash

commercial leases can be very complex so who knows,as the speedway is the third level in the "chain"behind the freeholder and the leaseholder they would almost certainly have very very minimal legal rights,i dont know if speedways solicitors have any specialists in this field but rest assured stadiauk will have, being a sponsor isnt going to help (except perhaps with a discount lol) it might as simple as stadiauk wanted more than the(apparently) normal 3% increase so asked for 100% but will settle for say 40%.they would then consider a 13 fold increase on the normal annual rise a succesfull negotiation
-
part owns i believe, dont forget properties like that are only a fraction of the cost they would be in uk (response to baldys post)
-
the simple truth re ben basso is hes simply on a great average,2 seasons in the championship and he could well be 8.5,and thats going to bring great benefits for his team over that period.
-
yes gasso that would have been a stronger team than the team being forecast now,see why fords were bit rattled! might be just me but i cannot remember ben basso ever saying last season that he could return in 2022 or indeed wanted to,again maybe just me but i always assumed he wouldnt be back(regretably)and the ford statement was a bit of a shock!im happy with any racenight but i thought changing race nights albeit occasionally was contrary to the stance taken in recent seasons.however still sure well be competitive
-
quite right lisa 95%of poole fans have never heard of shovler, skidder ,arthur, poole keith etc etc were just a group of people with plenty of time to spare to mess about on the old interweb ! ive met and spoke to many visiting fans (mainly cause im always there very early and visiting fans tend to arrive early)ive always enjoyed a chat and havent met a single away fan with a derogatory viewof the poole fans.

so, no agreement on the rent for next year,no racing next year !! unbelievable, a perfectly adequate sports facility pretty much lying idle, bcp council need to need to get off their arses and get involved, show some leadership and go public on what their policy is on the stadium
