  1. Not quite skids,at the time poole trainers were invited to apply to race at Swindon only a few ended up there,of those, 2 reasonable size ones are left and few small ones,3 race at Oxford and a couple at Brighton, point im making is that all these ex poole trainers between them would only have around 150 dogs, these days with tracks running up to 6 meetings per wk to meet live streaming contracts (if poole would ever get one) an absolute minimum of 400 dogs is reqd,so i dont believe greyhounds will ever return to run alongside speedway and make the stadium viable
  2. Would never be enough greyhounds available to reintroduce racing skids, also it was previously the worst run greyhound track in the country and the major betting companies would be very wary of getting involved with poole dogs again
  3. cvs comments are on the link from the" greyhound star" provided by "ruckeroo"
  4. oxford now dont have trap problems, also you say the derby might be moved(now you are talking towcester on the oxford thread, tut tut)anyway please enlighten me on where and when the derby is moving and how does that affect oxford
  5. Are we talking oxford or towcester here ?
  6. were behind europe in virtually everything these days (medical care, dental care ,road and rail, river and sea pollution energy storage and production, education, policing etc etc etc)its not just speedway
  7. And of course when poole riders were doctoring their tyres with a softening agent, allegedly
  8. But for which team this year Arthur ?? When does the bidding open for securing his services ??
  9. Think a lot of forum members are thinking one poole is quite enough lisa haha
  10. Would be natural to firstly secure his top flight place before worrying too much about the second tier
  11. cant agree at all blue, surely with the experience and knowledge he gained at poole last season he should have been a lot further up the nl averages table ?
  12. dont forget eck its also probably the worse league since 2009,this season is a frightening indication of how far poole speedway has fallen, thinking back to all those wonderful riders we used to see (home and away teams) every week, also shows the continuing and steady decline of british speedway, having said that im already looking forward to the start of the season
  13. Extra money for zach so he could pay for his lodgings perhaps lol
  14. well it aint going to be made in this country cos nothing is
  15. And showing he knows no more than anybody else in the forum
  16. Could become worthwhile assets,possibly?
  17. would also like a last heat decider cinders and then one of those new fangled run off thingys to decide the bonus point, and if your there in the stadium a nice pint of cold cider please !!
  18. ,,Already looking forward to this match, hope its in the summr hols, sunshine, packed stadium
  19. obviously if you raise admission price by 10% income from admissions will not rise by 10%,i believe in financial parlance its called "the law of diminishing returns" each promotion has got to decide how big a gamble they want to take and a gamble it certainly is
  20. its possible decisions on young aussies are based purely on finance during these times, with worral, lawson and cooks theres already the foundation for a title winning team pretty sure matt can fill in the 3 blanks without gambling with the costs
  21. Would kyle newman also bring some sponsors with him?
