matt ford quite sensibly not getting into a bidding war with a swindon promoter who has considerably more financial clout.shame as i think ellis would have been an excellent long term signing(unlike the poles who you pretty much know probably arent going to be around to long)
-
nor me
-
heard on the terraces that the restaurant at blunsdon was closing in new yr
-
good club to join i think for james and simon stead appears to have quickly developed a real ability to work with riders of all levels,so would expect a yr of improvement now, like many people have said it would be good for him to give speedway a real go,best of luck shane.(did we decide which club hes an asset of?)
-
it seems matt has identified and is trying to resolve a definite weakness in the team as a certain member of the promotion was a serious liability in the "public relations" arena in fact any sphere of relations!!
-
think your absolutely right there pp,possibly significant improvement, which makes you wonder why they weren't top of every clubs shopping list for next season, their supposed baggage seems to outweigh the attractiveness of their averages
-
id be happy to see him ride for poole
-
there youve said it again !!
-
its mainly you who says matt ford has a lot of money bolton
-
possibly similar standard riders but significant difference in cost?
-
which is why ptw said he would rather have woryna
-
good solid signing tho perhaps not a crowd pulling title winning one, still we have to be a little patient, think matt is having to curb his desire nay obsession to win the title with a stark awareness of the pretty low crowds last season and the predictions of little or no financial growth in uk for possibly many yrs,on the plus side for poole many more people will be staying in uk for hols, so that has to be one of the main target groups to aim at to bring to wimborne rd
-
investing in rider assets might prove not to be the cleverest medium to long term financial strategy, remember that little known belgium footballer who totally changed the football world?
-
if matt ford is required to make team changes through the season and he repeats last yrs mind blowing mid season changes then we wont be" blowing" anybody away, but hey ho i shall be there every week supporting what ever team he puts out and enjoying it.
-
a weak reserve and weak in hts 13 and 15.would need a big improver in that team, could only be r lambert
-
would guess theyd all have to get in the gp through the challenge route(no wildcards) so its going to be hard but theyve all got talent
-
unless it rains in the early season fixtures
-
think thats roughly what i said gav,but hang on a minute isnt everybody underestimating kk at rye?
-
most poole fans either knew or assumed brady would be in this yrs team and im glad hes back however hes probably unlikely to be in the top half of no1s so the key to success will depend on pulling the proverbial rabbits out the hat for some of the remaining places
-
isnt there some sort of volunteer exchange programme where you could maybe take him for a couple of seasons, please,or more permanently he would be available on a "free"
-
i think mr shovler made the point that eventually hes got to make decisions re his priorities, would be pretty sure he enjoys grasstrack/longtrack more but there is the opportunity for him to make a good living from speedway which he surely has to consider, can always go back to it later in life, chris harris been doing quite a lot grasstrack etc again in last 2yrs,but its his call
-
possibly but mainly they were against wednesdays because the stadium is not available to them !
-
missed part of the interview but mf seemed to be saying on radio sol yesterday that kyle would not be at poole next yr thinks hes too injury prone.anybody catch the full interview ?
-
but all winter off though!!

when the bournemouth buccaneers ran at poole i only attended around a third of the meetings,it then closed due to lack of support and i now wish i had supported every meeting
