very good post,he has to give a reason for selling, cant say " speedways in real trouble,my profits are way down,i need to get out and will take the best offer i get" so just say people want me out and want a change,im still a fan but i will go. ps had some simply wonderfull evenings at wimborne rd under his rule and watched some fantastically brilliant riders, the like of which we probably will never see in british league speedway again

mark lemon is quoted as saying there were some poor decisions made at belle vues expense last night ,the ref was kept busy but i thought they were all straightforward calls, did i miss something? -

last couple of yrs not many teams would have wanted our signings starry, like you said wed is probably a must win,and im still pretty optimistic about the rest of the season -
theres no one who goes to rye and poole surely, and if they were on the m5 god knows how theyd find either track!!
-
interesting skids, fan of stefan but too big a risk bringing him back early my opinion, cant go digging bigger holes this stage of the season.(whoops, waiting to see which comic is going to make the first jibe about "digging holes" probably wont have long to wait lol)

Belle Vue Aces Vs Poole Pirates 25/6/18

in a tight league with no outstanding team one point gained from away matches is more important than in previous yrs, by the same logic winning your home matches "3-0" instead of only gaining a 2pt advantage is imperative and matt and the team manager must fervently encourage the team to produce "3-0s"for the rest of the season, could be critical.big away 4pointers would be great but dont seem plentiful.a top four place is well within reach for pirates and whatever teams make this yrs play-offs they will all be capable of beating each other, exciting times!! -
dont think matt ford thinks hes still getting a crowd!!
-
and your still confused
-
my first primitive attempt at fishing and ive certainly had a good haul, even caught pooles greatest fisherman steve shov, and also lisa, starman was predictably confused, overall well pleased with what was in the net,all good fun( but much of my post was genuine)you know where i sit at poole always ready to chat speedway
-
i hope we make the play offs and i hope we win them but if we dont so be it,i wont start crying,to me theres more to it than results,an evening out with freinds maybe a meal together maybe a few beers, a good chat and a laugh,i would also like to stick with this team whatever the results, its only f---ing speedway after all
-
think starman has found a ghostwriter, his last post was certainly not his usual style
-
well done to everybody, seems a confident statement, speedway promotions dont need those problems, thing i am totally amazed at skids is that you actually buy the echo lol,or like me do just read the sports pages in the supermarket ???

Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 13/06/18

and almost certainly as usual not in riding order lol .it is it seems imperative in speedway that as much as possible is kept secret from the public(wonder how thats working out??) -
im happy with the seven weve now got, josh and spanner must improve surely??? rest are solid and two strong reserves for the rest of the season, would put all effort into generating some team spirit and togetherness amongst these seven, last yrs changes were pretty dross afterall
-
ps of course cardiff is far enough away from the golden sands of poole to allow him to ride!!!
-
THINK (notice phil i also used capitals for my opening word good eh)the point kevh is trying to make is not whether holders being paid by organisation a or b or from country x or y but that hes NOT being employed by a british club to ride in cardiff gp so doesnt need the same work permits, example a brazilian f1 driver wouldnt need the same permissions to drive at silverstone as a brazilian nurse would need to work in the nhs
-
isnt that exactly witchers point? what he doesnt want is the scores or result announced over the tannoy at the speedway

Matt Ford complains about Assets
poole keith replied to DC2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
thats why i said promoters with very small asset base would benefit from a change in the system, now and in the future, obviously promoters with large asset base wouldnt want change but thats only a few and it would only take one rider to challenge the system, and 2 or 3 promoters to finance his challenge -
Matt Ford complains about Assets
poole keith replied to DC2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
is there a "mr bosman" riding in british speedway? a promoter or group of promoters with limited assets should jointly finance one rider to go through the court process and challenge current system, would think a formality with precedent set in football -
think its only starman whos trying to defend what everybody else including the promotion pretty much accept as a total cock up,starman is in no way involved with any aspect of track work and probably only knows as much about it as most other members of the forum despite his constant ramblings on the subject.hope im not going round in circles! but poole fans have got to sit tight and hope the guys can sort things out,in a very tight league despite our present position were still right in there, and as i said previously any stick re last wed weve just got to take on the chin
-
perhaps pirates could ride their home matches at said track, solve both problems ha ha
-
that would quickly become matts most embarrassing moment in speedway lol
-
spoke to some permanent stadium employees today who confirmed there was no rain at the stadium all day and that bends 1 and 2 had puddles of water early am but instead of brushing off the water the track was bladed then rolled so 1st 2 bends were hard on top but mush underneath, nothing to do with rain on the day or high tides!! i was informed that the track curator was sacked that day as i posted on the day.i was told that people were still being turned away at 7.30 would have been a bumper much needed crowd.Matt was heard saying it was his most embarrassing moment in speedway,i feel for any speedway promoter that suffers such a hit through no fault of their own,i understand extensive work is planned for next week and im sure all genuine speedway fans hope its successful
