  1. Perhaps you can enlighten us otherwise you're on the wrong thread The joke section comes under general discussion thread
  2. Not seen Halsey ride but I know he's having a good year in the National league may be you've had the chance to see him around Rye House but I will reserve judgement and give the lad the chance to show us he's worth it.
  3. Wouldn't mind seeing Morris back sometime , he done ok
  4. A bit hard on Ashley Morris he's done a sound job but Busk Jakobsen hasn't looked at home on the showground for quite some time now so can hardly be surprised to get the bullet and in a way Morris is going to pay the price for Busk Jakobsen's below par performances, if this all true.
  5. If your side had lost 6 home matches wouldn't you want changes , it doesn't matter if you don't get it right at the start as long as you keep within the 42.50 limit . Nothing to do with chequebook speedway common sense to keep supporters interested enough to keep supporting otherwise you know what could probably happen and I wouldn't want to see that occur .I would have liked a team consistant enough to go the whole season without changes like yours has so far to be fair but home form at the showground has been absolutely abysmal hence the changes . As for the Diamonds they were very good 1 to 6 but you really need to make a change at NO-7 Phillips could cost you in the playoffs as he must be the worst 3 pointer in the league and looked out of his depth in all 3 races which he managed to fall in. there's got to be somebody better .
  6. That would be good Busk Jakobsen needs a change of scenery that's for sure.
  7. Disgraceful idea , yes we need team changes but to announce at the interval was not a very tactful thing to do , but good luck to Emil Grondal and Tom Perry for the future anyway . Now you Newcastle supporters can afford to boast about your chances as they were very good tonight , I can't take anything away from them they were very good value and worthy winners against a team that are so low on confidence it seemed like Craig Cook was fighting a lone battle and somehow I think there will be at least 1 more team team change to go through before the deadline
  8. I would have to say that Somerset are the most professional team I have seen at the showground this year and compared to them I would say Edinburgh were not that good against a second rate Panthers performance . As for Newcastle very efficient at home but not so sure how they will perform at the showground , they have some good riders but can they prove themselves as a team at the showground Friday night . A 45-44 away win at a struggling Redcar does not convince me they have the same winning instinct that Somerset have ,I have no doubt that the Diamonds will finish in the top 3 regardless whether they win or lose tomorrow night, but are they as good as Somerset we will have to wait and see.
  9. I'll hold the stakes for both of you if you like , your money will be safe in my hands. I will be looking out for a nice Fred Olsen cruise in the meantime
  10. If there are to be any team changes it will only happen after new averages are officially issued sometime this week and effective from 1 September as by my reckoning team average will drop to 40.80 which would leave us 1.70 under 42.50 limit and would leave us some scope for improvements. so Newcastle and Redcar at home will be same team I would have thought
  11. Couldn't stop that leaking out with track covers then.
  12. Your right he doesn't seem to be the same rider this season , at the start of season I was expecting him to kick on and eventually become our NO1 . The odd occasion he can turn it on but generally you just don't know what to expect from him ,we know he's talented and capable of doing a lot better , not sure about your comment about Peterborough have destroyed him and what they could do to getting him going , bit of a mystery that one.
  13. Things not going too well there either mate Bandits double crossing each other I hear , I don't know about the north it sounds more like the wild west. but wish you all the best and hope the Bandits are in a position to carry on in 2017.
  14. Not sure what your point is but I've been to lakeside many times and nothing surprises about that place and I don't think I would bother going there week in week out at any cost.
  15. I went to Newcastle and witnessed a nightmare performance and no I don't think it's a bit harsh as a team they were rank and there was nothing unrealistic about the task set by management, I didn't expect them to come anywhere near to the Newcastle team and would have expected a loss of 12 to 14 points as they possess a very strong home record but I should have known better I suppose
  16. Still stuck in Durham then or should I say cloud cuckoo land . Holub a match winner , I've seen more life in Burton's shop window Panthers struggled and lost to Scunthorpe at home so can't see Diamonds having a problem as we are carrying 3 riders who really should be ashamed of there performances and the writing has been on the wall for quite some time now
  17. Nothing to gain out of this meeting for Panthers and fans or it being a good result for witches as both of them would only be cannon fodder in the playoffs
  18. A lair is where the dormant Panthers riders sleep during meetings and a liar is one who tells porkies . Just as a matter of interest where do Comets riders sleep during away meetings .
