Peterborough Panthers 2017
New era Panthers replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
OK so when the tigers came to the showground in 2016 Lawson and Summers managed just 9 points between them but I wouldn't base this as a comparison to what they might score in 2017 would you? -

So with the team Panthers have for 2017 which has little resemblance to that of 2016 your theory means absolutely nothing. -

And Glasgow are going to win everything with there super charged team that are the best thing since sliced bread . Good piece of advice for you from a Glaswegian ( Never judge the chocolates by the picture on the box) -
Championship Teams Comparison Time

We don't mind really, I like the thought of being the underdog , no shocks if we fail but what a bonus if we come up with the goods when it matters. We have a good all round team with no superstars with a young up and coming NO7 which should make for a good season at the showground , away might prove a little bit difficult though and they will have work at it to grind out results. Team wise i'm more than happy just the double ups is going to cause the odd problem. Otherwise everything fine. Looking forward to march 2017 with optimism. -

We don't need Kennett and we don't need your advice on what riders we should sign . -

Diplomatic quote , how many times I have heard that I don't care to remember, but I suppose one year it might come true and still nobody will believe it -
Maybe a return for stormy?

So perhaps you can tell us where your info came from suggesting he wont be riding for Panthers then. -
I suppose if you were working and not being paid regularly you might be a miserable sod as well.

Then I think it's a good idea to finally put it to bed -

The one thing I personally don't want to see is six man teams, had it before in the top league for one season and in my opinion it didn't work and made for dull speedway meetings if we ever go back to that could see attendances dropping off quite alarmingly . -

Rather have Konopka and I can't imagine Graversen being at Somerset long unless he comes back a totally different rider than when he last rode here for Redcar . Still trying to take it in that Somerset have signed him. -

That is the rumour going about but not sure how true it is , can you come up with something that backs the rumour. -

It's so easy to pick faults with any team and be pessimistic , take a look around at other teams and you will be able to find a chink here and there, for instance take a look at Glasgow who I rate as an excellent team that's been put together , Bewley coming back from a serious accident and not now being at reserve big jump for the lad and it could dent his confidence Schlein at Ipswich also coming back from serious injury as an example , they are all gambles worth taking the chance with IMO, and I have no problem with plans so far. All teams take a gamble on what riders will do for them and I see Panthers being no different -

What high horse is that about then , as the only concerns I would have about teams coming to the showground are from Glasgow who seem to have built a top notch team and maybe Sheffield when they've finished team building ,the rest no problem. -

Seems to me that opposing supporters are more worried about Panthers 2017 team selections than Panthers fans are . -

I would say having Lambert at reserve was the idea but because points limit for next season has been reduced it has changed things slightly meaning he will most probably now have to ride in the NO2 position -
He's had more clubs than Fred Flintstone

Having Kennett in the team would leave 2.44 for the NO6 and can you imagine how the two reserves are going score points with 2 riders from the National league . No thanks, it's not going to happen.
