With Holder you have to remember the riders who finished above him in the Australian championships all are a lot more experienced so finishing 9th means very little as to what he will do at the showground and beyond in the coming season.

Yes seven years and I can honestly say I havn't really missed it which may have something to do with on line internet connections which enables to get information faster rather than waiting the best part of a week and it doesn't cost anything. So as far as I am concerned it has signed it's own death warrant through its not having a view of it's own.

Who would be paying back the loan then ? Perhaps as he lives approximately 10 miles from Peterborough he should ask the city council to lend him the money as they seen to be very gullible when it comes to decision making .

Speedway star has a very neutral view on all aspects of the sport , that's why I stopped my order about 7 years ago , it only reports what goes hand in glove with the BSPA and has a very fragile spine , no backbone or bite . It would be refreshing if it had a mind of it's own with cutting edge stories and had it's own personal view but it seems everything they report on has to have approval from the powers that be making it not worth buying anymore. When the stand off involving Coventry and Peterborough a few years ago the speedway star only reported what in formation was given from the BSPA and the promotions involved but had no view of how it should have been handled or who they thought was right and wrong and what should have happened to put it right. Instead they just went along with the same old waffle. which was enough for me cancel my weekly order and I certainly wont be reconsidering my decision

You'll be shocked then when the same 7 that start the season will actually finish it unless injuries have a part to play. Remember new rules will stop team changes after July except for injured riders.

You should not be confident about what councillors will or will not do . For instance in Peterborough the council allowed 79 properties to be served with eviction notices so they could rehouse homeless people ,The place is called ST MICHAELS GATE . So don't tell me how good your councillors are there mostly 2 faced and out to line there pockets at your expence

Maybe if teams had parades at say 7.15 or 7.20 with a strictly adhered start time of 7.30 then 6 heats of MDL racing could be achievable in most cases but it needs the desire of promotions to make it successful.

Have to agree with you but Ipswich are not alone , too many clubs tend to disregard it as a must when all clubs should be looking to develop there own talent and giving them every opportunity to progress, after all they are the future of the sport. Ged Rathbone wanted to include National league racing at Peterborough at an added cost of maybe £3 but supporters at meeting didn't want to know , good value IMO but you have to respect peoples views so maybe we will see MDL meetings hopefully. All clubs should want to invest for the future and I can't think of a better way than bringing on your own talent

I think Proud Panther has answered that . We may have dropped a division but we now have a hands on promoter even though he lives 200 miles away and there seems to be a lot more harmony and willingness amongst supporters and supporters club members . Rick Frost saved the club from folding and will always be grateful for that but he never really familiarised himself with supporters like Ged Rathbone has done and got everybody pulling in the same direction. I can't imagine that ever happening had Mick Horton managed to carry on at the showground. I take my hat off to Ged he's doing a brilliant job and long may it continue.

Brilliant piece of news , well done Ged . I wouldn't have thought it would include rider assets but what it does mean we now have only one landlord to pay rent to instead of two . onwards and upwards looking forward to the new season with great promoters and owners to take the club forward.
