  1. Best call the meeting off then as there is not many if any suitable guests available , 3 championship matches on Sunday means only 4 other teams in league to choose from.
  2. It would be interesting to hear both sets of managements thoughts on this as with top riders missing it's not a very good advert for the meeting and also could result in a low turn out when usually local derby's would attract a bumper crowd . Maybe it would be a wise decision to make an early postponement and rearrange the fixture for a later date under the circumstances.
  3. Nice to hear from a sensible supporter, should be a good day's entertainment .
  4. All in the past now lets get back on track and look forward to the future , whatever the outcome of this protest we should not dwell on it one way or another . I don't like the thought of rulebook speedway and never have ,clubs should never have the opportunity to find loopholes in the rules it should be simple enough for authorities to sit down and thrash out the grey areas into simple black and white . Yes there will be times when clubs question a decision but this will never happen unless these things are thrashed out and rules tightened to ensure such protests are brought to a minimum. Buster promised more clarity in the sport when he took over but nothing seems to have changed . At the end of the day we want to see speedway conducted in a fair way on track without any promoters leafing through rule books to find these grey areas.
  5. And just maybe when you have something constructive to say we will listen to your words of wisdom in the meantime do us all a favour and shut up.
  6. When Simon Stead was interviewed on the roving mic and was asked about the situation with JPB he didn't wish to comment on it , I wonder why ?
  7. True its the greedy showground management who charge over the top rentals to venders forcing there prices up to make ends meet . Absolutely nothing to do with speedway finances and the venders are made to look bad as well,
  8. It's not meant to be a criticism of Ged i'm 100% behind him , and appreciate all he has done to keep the Panthers alive.
  9. OK it's a Peterborough v Glasgow thread but probably I should have said all speedway supporters who are not aware of the showground food and drink prices should consider buying there food and drinks elsewhere before entering the venue. I was just trying to be helpful towards fellow supporters and don't want them to get ripped off.
  10. Message for all Tiger fans attending on Sunday.. bring your own food and drink as the showground prices are extortionate .
  11. Whichever way you look at it the league season is over for Panthers and if you need anymore proof wait till after the result of tomorrows meeting with Glasgow to confirm and show us how far behind in team building we are compared to those in the upper positions.
  12. Both sets of riders were eager to get the meeting on if you read Panthers website.
  13. You remind me of a key murder witness who wasn't on the scene when the crime was committed. You really shouldn't take everything for granted because he or she said this or that. You wasn't there so you are in no position to criticise what went on , but I will admit the updates site on the meeting and particularly heat 1 incident was a little bit misleading giving update viewers the wrong impression that the hold up was more to do with remedial work on the track rather than focusing the facts of Nick Morris was receiving medical treatment and awaiting county ambulance. I don't believe any time was lost for repair work and as soon the paramedic returned on track racing continued.
  14. The delay was for Nick Morris, who was with the paramedic who then had to wait to be transferred into county ambulance for a trip to hospital i.m sure you can appreciate this was the correct thing to do and nothing to do with the track condition , the track wasn't perfect but IMO opinion it was raceable and had this incident had not occurred then I think they would have gone straight to heat 2. So with a possible lenghthly stoppage riders decided to walk the track looking for anything that may have caused them problems and then it was agreed to do some rework on the track. I think you are totally out of order slagging of the track man who has been producing some great track surfaces recently and i'm one of his biggest critics .
  15. I think he must be judging them on paper as opposed to on track performances , its still possible for them to reach the top 4 but highly unlikely.
  16. The point is are the management going to do anything about these repeated weaknesses in the team or are they just going to paper over the cracks and hope it will go away with a win against Berwick tonight , whatever happens tonight season will be at an end on Sunday after another home defeat at the hands of Glasgow.
  17. If you saw them ride lately your opinion would change as they are so inconsistent , unless 2 changes are made very quickly then maybe there best will be to finish in 6th or 7th.Losing Lambert and bringing in Hall as temp injury replacement is a massive blow to any chance of them finishing in the top 4.
  18. Very true , i haven't a problem with having to carry Tom Bacon as the lad is on a learning curve and feel he is worth giving the chance to succeed as long as he keeps popping in with scores of 2 or 3 a meeting that's fine , but what i can't except is the continually poor performances of Ulrich Ostergaard every time we come up against one of the better sides. As For Richard Hall well it just defies belief why he was signed as a temp replacement, guest 2 pointers wouldn't have been any worse to be honest.
  19. Not the answer though ,whatever they score , they have been continuously let down by certain rider(s) who are past there sell by date .If we are ambitious then 2 changes have to be made or the season is over, that's it in a nutshell
  20. Well they haven't got much to write about at the moment.
  21. Yes he did a brilliant job with his wreckless move taking Simon Lambert out .
