  1. I've heard the women up Cumbria are more frightened than the sheep.
  2. Then i'm afraid we will have to disagree on the last part Rick Frost wanted an independent body to run the sport so as to stop others self interest advantages and got shafted for that as well as other bits, Coventry and Peterborough stood alone for the good of the sport , but had no backing from others who were to busy looking after there self interests then Kings Lynn and Birmingham stole there thunder by claiming the 30 pieces of silver on offer from sky.
  3. Now there's a money making investment for Edinburgh speedway , if Glasgow provide seat cushions at an extra cost to supporters so they can sit in comfort , then maybe Edinburgh should think about investing some money to provide stilts for fans so the can stand and balance and maybe see more than riders helmets going round.
  4. I'd like to think the club is more stable than it has been for many years now, but then we all thought that when Rick Frost bought the club , but there is one major difference here and that is the fact Ged Rathbone is a speedway supporter through and through . Where as Rick Frost is a businessman who had limited interest in the sport and it was also made easy for him to unload some tax free money , but I will always be grateful for what he tried to do for the club and I can understand him eventually pulling out after some of the treatment he received from speedway authorities.
  5. Funny how history has a habit of repeating its self with Ged having to come in and do the same thing.
  6. You never know Glasgow might make him a better offer he can't refuse.
  7. He looked competitive when he guested for Somerset at the showground last season and I wasn't surprised he was snapped up for this season likewise with Tom Bacon with Panthers but statistics so far would indicate neither of them are suitable for there home tracks and both are finding it to be a huge jump from the National league but Panthers and witches should be happy to have signed 2 of the top performers coming from the lower league and continue to give them help and advice to build up there confidence and hopefully advance there improvement .
  8. Maybe it's time for the British leagues to be restructured yet again and before anyone jumps on my back, do I have confidence in the BSPA doing this I would have to say emphatically no I don't, it needs an independent body to sort this mess out, but I wont hold my breath on that.
  9. You really think Panthers can win at the Fox Holes by 20 points, that's good of Scotsman.
  10. I remember it well , MPT was an outstanding signing at the time and a massive improvement on Adam Roynon so that was most likely to happen anyway . The fact that Ged has reiterated in the last day or so that Liam Carr is only a temp till Simon returns from injury should tell you something and yet you are contradicting what Ged has just stated in the last day or so . Are you trying to undermine the management as you know best or what. What is your problem with Simon Lambert anyway . Do you not think he is capable of doing a decent job at reserve and actually think Liam Carr will do a better job . Personally I think he will do ok but won't be an improvement on Lambert and I think you are expecting to much from him and he hasn't turned a wheel for us yet , I will be happy if he can score 4 to 6 at home and average a point a ride away .
  11. Hopwood and Greenwood? can't see that happening any time soon. or can't see the WOODS for the trees.
  12. Think what you like mate , the facts are Simon will be back in the team when he recovers from his injury. Flappy thinks he speaks for the management these days ,
  13. Any rider who can only score 7 points from 15 rides over 4 meetings in this case 3 home and 1 away, should never believe there position is safe. Richard Hall had is chance and just didn't do the business.
  14. No he won't he's temp injury cover until Simon returns, Try reading Panthers website instead of presuming you know the outcome.
  15. It's certainly is a big jump for them agreed at least he will have the chance to prove himself riding in a reserve position and not in the top 5 as was the case for him at Berwick.
  16. If he can gate and not sit on the inside line for 4 laps he should be alright , I hope he can use the outside lines . It's an ideal chance to showcase his talents as he's only temp for the injured Simon Lambert. Just might make one or two teams interested in him , well I hope so anyway.
  17. Anybody know when it is up for debate by the BSPA
  18. Sadly his time has passed as a Panthers rider and he now is a pale shadow of the rider he was in 2006 , but I've always found him as a reasonable guy and wish him luck for the future.
