Scunthorpe Scorpions 2018
New era Panthers replied to IronScorpion's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Must admit he looked pretty good at the showground the 2/3 times I have seen him when leading from the gate, very fast and untroubled but a different story when not making the gate , massive gamble IMO . -
Perhaps someone from the Panthers management team could enlighten fans if it's true or just rumour that Jack Holder will be returning home to Australia this coming Friday regardless of outstanding fixtures and bearing in mind season officially closes at the end of October. Is Ellis Perks an Australian passport holder and nationalised Australian now ?

So what would you do under the circumstances which would be an improvement on this idea. -

Some of the dedicated ones yes , but you'll find that most would look at it as a freeby. On the bright side of things it would be a good idea to promote the meeting as a chance for free admission as a taster for would be new fans to come and sample what speedway has to offer for those that have never experienced the sport before. And Godfrey abuses his position by having sit down protests on the startline surprised you didn't mention that. -

I think you you'll find when Hans Andersen wasn't getting paid , it was Mick Horton in charge not his brother Colin. Nice to know that you are sure about this , it's a pity Sam has to get somebody else to answer for him. -

Still not willing to admit that (Stitcher Godfrey) didn't take a small wedge then -

Seriously why would anybody want to hand over that kind of money collectively to Ged when no actual figures of the fine involved have been made public, I seriously want speedway to continue at the showground but to just hand over money without facts is nothing short of barmy. But Godfrey did take a little wedge didn't he. -

40K is a smokescreen figure and shouldn't be confused with the actual figure which nobody has officially announced. More like 12 to 15 k including the losses which would be incurred for free 2018 opening meeting IMO. -

There is quite a lot to this that just doesn't add up IMO, for instance at the end of last season when Leicester were in danger of folding i.m given to believe that Ged wanted to make an offer to take charge only to be told that it had already been sorted. Then we have the Trevor Swales retirement announcement , can't say as anybody would blame him I suspect he's generally had enough of it, even if it has come at a very inapt time . -

By thinking he could break the rules and get a couple of BSPA members on his side by paying them a wedge and now having accepted the sweetener they don't want to know . BSPA members should all be investigated by an independent body and all those that had any part in this should be brought to book. -

He stitched himself up by accepting a payment from Poland, he knew it was wrong , but he still went ahead with it . He of all people should know you can't mess about with BSPA they are a law unto themselves and shouldn't be trusted. -

But the incentives are much higher this time and I think it will be very hard to try and defend a 10 point advantage. I think Glasgow will be on top of there game for this one. -
