Peterborough Panthers 2019
New era Panthers replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
We the unworthy folk who support Panthers know very little of what is going on , not got a clue of what he's doing apart from alienating fans with his total silence but still expect us to turn out for meetings . Buster not even letting fans know what the situation is regarding Rathbone and Watson. Being 12,000 miles away is a poor excuse in this day and of technology for not communicating with the very people who can keep this club alive -

I wonder how long before Chapman undermines Colin Pratt and Carl Johnson then or will they just be yes men and put up- with things. -
Somerset top 4 look good, but with 2 rookie reserves and a German with little knowledge of British tracks they will be wagging a long tail , top 4 can't afford any off nights . The gamble with the 2 reserves I think is worth it but it's a big risk bringing in the German.
-
I think Simon Lambert would do a better job than the German guy who has absolutely no experience of British tracks and he's not exactly coming in as a new talent , and I wouldn't expect him to see the season through without being replaced or getting injured at some stage .

You forgot to mention Jake Allen.

Most riders are taller than Kenneth Bjerre.

That doesn't answer anything . As far as i'm aware he didn't have any problems at Belle Vue in 2018 .So whatever the problem was at Ipswich really doesn't matter now , he has a fresh start and I hope he gets his head down and makes the best of it. -

Forget about Horton he's history , and as far as Buster goes he will get the same respect that he shows towards Peterborough fans which at the moment is not healthy undermining the very people that you give power to promote is just not on. -

Until it's officially announced it would be wrong to speculate but replacing Harris who has 7.58 average with Jorgensen on 6.05 would be nothing short of Chapman taking the pi55 -

Carl Johnson is trying to gee up the troops by putting on a brave face while the dictator has dodged all the flack, so far anyway -

Premiership Supporters Cup

Why are they calling it the supporters cup when so many supporters seem against it and most certainly have not voted for it , maybe when it fails miserably then they can blame the fans for it . It should be renamed BSPA bright idea cup and see if they can get BIC pens to sponsor it -

It''s a pathetic idea, it might work for strictly come dancing where viewers have the comfort of a warm environment and a cosy armchair but sitting on a hard seat in a cold outdoor situation is a bit different who wants to be kept waiting an extra length of time just because someone has come up with a brain dead idea -

Good point but I doubt they thought about that when the press release was posted. -

In this day and age of modern technology there is absolutely no excuse for not communicating , even if you are 12,000 miles away. -

I think there will be more shoppers cars at Tesco's as opposed to speedway travelling cars at the showground that day. -

No mention that Chris Harris will be riding in it representing Somerset then , yet there are other ex Panthers named , Maybe Chapman thinks he will be too expensive. -
those were the days, something to smile about.

I well remember visiting the boulevard, believe the particular meeting Hull Vikings V Peterborough Panthers was in 1972 and what really stood out all those years ago was the heat 2 pre race spectacle as the riders were lined up at the tapes , Panthers team manager Alec Ford noticed that the 2 Vikings reserves Glynn Facey and his brother I presume Clarke Facey were on the wrong gates , Ford sprinted across the centre green from the stand side to intervene and the Vikings team manager at the time Colin Tucker chased after him and eventually bringing Ford down with a rugby tackle . All this to no avail as the referee did spot it before the tapes went up anyway -
The not a lot in it can be taken two ways.

How about Chapman addressing Panthers fans , the very people he will be relying on for support , rather than just a staged managed press conference. I won't hold my breath though . -
