  1. Well as long as it makes you happy your easily satisfied then.
  2. It could be termed as making an investment for the next season by deliberately riding to lower their average as long as they have enough in reserve to sustain this. It could be something like not updating equipment until the following year and then a bumper year ahead with new bikes .
  3. Yes don't disbelieve you are correct but certainly rode in the 60's.
  4. Halfords have been doing this for years but they just cant get the sales right.
  5. Try looking at the BSPA website , they are even worse and according to there info section we are still on 2017 rules . They make changes to rules but how is anyone supposed to know what has been altered when they can't even get a basic thing like updating correct, is it any wonder the sport is in such a mess.
  6. We had it for years with Boston which is 40 miles away and now we get it with Ipswich 100 miles away so it's getting better distance wise but just a shame when another club goes to the wall to make it happen.
  7. I've heard that the SCB have overturned the 6+ restriction just that it has not been officially announced yet, but I think it would be unfair to tell you where the information come from.
  8. I for one have no grouse about Redcar hosting the 4's and hope it goes well enough for them to be considered capable enough to continue to do so, will it be considered good enough should be judged after the event , this is Redcar's chance to prove they are capable and good luck to them I hope it's a success.
  9. Kasper Lykke Nielsen can't gate and we have tried Bradley Wilson Dean last season o/k at reserve but was not so good in the top 5 and we have enough reserves already , new face Dane now that's something that should have been thought about before they signed Emil Grondal , who in my opinion is a gamble not worth taking, but they have signed him now so should honour the agreement and just hope he's an improved rider from the one we saw before.
  10. My thoughts on the team building for 2018 are that because of the original £28,000 fine handed down and the waiting for the hearing for the final outcome , team building was put on the back burner as Ged didn't know if he would be running speedway or not and by the time this was all sorted most teams had gone a long way to finalising there teams , thus we have to pick up the leftovers. Unfortunately that's what we have and will just have to get on with it. Any intentions of running in 2019 should be making plans around September 2018 , leaving it till November/ December is just creating problems as we are now finding out
  11. I can see your point but I don't think it will happen, any credibility the management would have after making those decisions would be a very risky thing to do after they've been named as signed contracts riders for 2018. Definitely not the thing to do as it's already hard to get the right calibre of riders due to riding on Sunday's and making such changes would only make it harder as riders wouldn't know if there team place was safe before a wheel being turned. Management have made a pigs ear of team building yet again and it looks like supporters are going to have to live with it until the next set of averages come into effect then any rider with a dip in form cannot complain if they find themselves being replaced.
  12. Chill out Dave , championships and cups are won with on track performances , not on what peoples opinions are as Ipswich and Peterborough fans found out in the 2017 k/o cup final.
  13. Looks like we better get used to it then or stop going altogether. No ambition is a bad sign.
  14. Yes they did and gates were much better than Friday's and now if they go on a losing home run can see all the advantages they thought they had no longer an advantage as support will dwindle away.
  15. Moving to Sunday's seemed the right thing to do crowd wise but I don't think anyone realised all the problems that go with it , I for one wish it was practical to get away from riding on Sunday's at least we would have half a chance of putting a decent team together .
  16. The 1st 4 to sign was very uninspiring and then to sign Grondal has only made it worse by leaving very little scope for the final 2 positions , first to be signed should have been a#1 and #5 then fill in the remaining positions. They knew that there was very little chance of Holder returning and as soon as they knew about Harris off to Glasgow they should have been on the ball to replace them . Instead of that they sign hand me downs from Glasgow and Scunthorpe then when it's to late they tell us not to panic , I am not convinced whoever they sign now are going to make them anything like what is required to be at the business level by the end of the season and can see them losing up to 5 home league meetings and getting hammered away on a regular basis. In short it's again a shoddy attempt at team building .
  17. True but isn't it a fact the BSPA want to break Jed Rathbone and see this as one way of doing so. I for one don't believe this is all about Scott Nicholls and Eddie Kennett.
  18. Kai Huckenbeck might be worth a shout 7.39 average would leave 6.37 for final position.
