Peterborough v Ipswich Sunday 5th August
New era Panthers replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It would be nice to have a NO1 who can gate and not have to rely on coming from the back in every race , he's experienced enough to understand track conditions and how difficult it can be to have to come from the back but seems to get caught in the same trap every time . -

I would swap him for King , Any NO;1 who takes 5 rides to score 7 on his own track is not worth another season at the showground IMO. I must say it was an excellent meeting and neither side deserved to lose and as I mentioned in a previous post a lot would depend on which Heeps turned up and he certainly made the difference. -

A lot will depend on which Heeps turns up , the one we know he's capable of or the one that so far this season has been a bitter disappointment for Ipswich fans and with two iffy reserves they could be looking at 4 men carrying the team also a lot will depend on Ben Barker putting in a solid performance which is long overdue . Which ever way it goes I hope we are in for an entertaining meeting and a safe passage home for all riders with no injuries involved. -
Lakeside Future In Serious Doubt
New era Panthers replied to KevH's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It's been a threat for years , it's not a matter of will it close to speedway it's a matter of when as parts of the land are sold of and houses are moving closer in year by year . -

You obviously haven't done your Riss assessment around the showground very well. -

Question for Neil Watson , why are Poole listed to race at home to Leicester on Thursday the 9th August when it is not one of there designated race days . Does this mean it's now a free for all and we can choose which ever day we wish including Bank holiday's now in the championship. I was going to put this question to Rob Godfrey but thought better of it. -
Well if Sheffield are using him as a scapegoat for there home defeat against Lakeside I don't think bringing in Lawler into the team will make any difference .
-
Surprised that Sheffield haven't given him longer to be honest , he looked reasonable for a national league rider and on the pace when he made a guest appearance for a visiting team at the showground earlier in the season. Unless there are others reasons.

Altered for accuracy. -
S.O.S. for Bradley Wilson Dean then I presume and I'm sure he would be only too pleased to help you out. Hard luck on Rene though, but not for your next meeting as there is a fixture clash with Peterborough.

The forum is for people to air there views, no matter if you believe they are being honest or warped, it's a point of view which we are all entitled to participate as long as it doesn't contain fowl language and is not of a threatening nature and you have to expect these comments as we are only human beings at the end of the day . -

No i haven't bought that magazine since the winter of discontent involving Peterborough and Coventry as i found it had a very one sided view and followed everything the BSPA told them but the mag has no view of its own . So i stopped my subscription and vowed never to buy it again and to be honest i don't think i have missed much . -

Most of us on here don't alter the rules to suit or benefit our own causes , that why we have a moan when someone like your beloved Godfrey thinks its o/k to inconvenience others just so he can get his own way by using the powers handed to him as vice chairman inappropriately. -

The gods have more power than Godfrey , consider it a way of justice. -
Maybe the reason for that is they are worried Rob Godfrey will probably get them cancelled anyway if you can't get the guests you want to cover for your injuries

I was always told you can win medals by talking to yourself , maybe made out of putty though , but whatever you have to say at least you more than likely will agree with yourself but just don't stand in front of the mirror, it could be dangerous for you. -

To save them from further embarrassment.
-
But it's not crap is it, and you know it .No way can you cover up what has happened . Meetings have been cancelled to aid Scunthorpe to be able to secure a better choice of guests . That is the real reason and it is out of order to cancel fixtures just to give you a better choice of guests or to give you more time for your injured riders to recover.

You just can't ignore him he needs help , but i'm not quite sure anyone can help him, maybe he's beyond help. -
Be careful what you are saying as someone from PDC or health and safety might pick up on the fact there is no marshalled way out and impose further restrictions thus requiring extra officials and the fact we are already short of marshall's will only make things more difficult , but I can see where you are coming from and totally agree with your comments

We all know what Ben is capable of, so maybe it's his equipment that is letting him down, which is a shame , when you know he has so much more to offer . -
