  1. I never heard it mentioned on the P A system but with interviews conducted whilst bikes are on the way round I couldn't be sure , someone who is well informed did tell me that he would not be here till the end of season though but unsure when he will depart and with Ostergaard being a shadow of the rider we know he can be Ged must be very concerned. Just hope he can be persuaded to stay on and Ostergaard can rekindle some of his form otherwise the season is going to go very flat for Panthers and Panthers fans.
  2. If Summers rides like he rode for Berwick at the showground a couple of weeks ago then Morris wont be such a miss'
  3. Phillips is in a no win situation ((excuse the pun) he wants to carry on riding at national league level but maybe doesn't want to ride for Scunthorpe, but in order to ride national league he must ride for Scunthorpe also, otherwise he would receive a ban for withholding his services as he is declared in the Scunthorpe 1 to 7 which would also stop him riding national league . Scunthorpe made the mistake of not deselecting him before the deadline
  4. Now there's a thought perhaps the BSPA should get in touch with Tippex for possible sponsorship, with all the programme changes and rule changes that take place , it could be worth a try . Win win situation speedway gets an injection of cash and Tippex sales go up tenfold.
  5. Perhaps Lindgren got his days mixed up as well.
  6. Do I detect Lakeside supporter's willing the meeting to be cancelled and already doing a rain dance.
  7. My point is Panthers have home and away k/o cup meetings this Sunday , but for the last five weeks I have been watching the BBC blockbuster ( Bodyguard) its the final episode this Sunday but being a speedway fan I will have to miss it and accept that I will have the chance to catch Bodyguard on either BBC I player or record it to view later , annoying though it is I accept the situation for what it is.
  8. How many teams are going to cancel there Saturday night meeting's as strictly come dancing is now back on the telly.
  9. Then the rule should be clarified to say not within a 7 day period , this would make more sense and stop any confusion . As to me 8 day's means 8 days .
  10. Any idea with the situation with Barker listed to also ride in the Rye House leg according to Panthers official website, is this a mistake as it seems to go against the 8 day guest rule for away sides . S/Star and local newspaper suggest Chris Harris will guest .
  11. Panthers have listed for Rye House away k/o cup meeting Ben Barker as guest at NO1 , I was under the impression that they couldn't use the same guest in away meetings for an 8 day period can Neil Watson possibly explain this .
  12. The trouble is it won't cost them there jobs Chapman & Godfrey are as thick as thieves and will back each other as they know what is best for British speedway , wink & a nod and all that sort of stuff . I am still waiting for Chapman's vision of clarity that was promised when he took over as BSPA chairman, if things don't change then it's going to be a long wait with more clubs going to the wall.
  13. I've only heard of 1 date which was offered that Panthers declined through rider availability but it would have gone ahead long ago had Scunthorpe's Rob Godfrey not got involved and had the meeting postponed and as for picking Lakeside at Rye House in the play off semi's , well can you blame them for that .
  14. Sunday is Panthers normal race day usually starting at 5pm, they have put the meeting back two hours to 7pm . Surely if it causes a problem then Rye meeting should maybe bring there meeting forward say an hour and start at 1pm . Why did Lakeside/ Rye House not consider running the meeting Saturday night which I believe will be there normal race night .
  15. I don't think anyone would deny that , it has made it easier to decide , but just because Lakeside are on a different surface these days doesn't mean it's a foregone conclusion and we should all treat it with respect in my opinion it is as strange for Peterborough as it is for Lakeside and it's wide open and all to play for.
