  1. Seem to remember him coming to the showground with Eastbourne although not in the team , he rode in 2 second half races and won them both in style, that much Panthers wanted to sign him but for some reason the offer was declined.
  2. Is the above any relation to a Garry Cottham who did some 2nd halves at Eastbourne in the 70's
  3. The fixtures were planned with dates provided by the showground management
  4. I wouldn't call it bad mouthing , just stating a fact that care has not been taken over the planning of this fixture, it's not the first time it has happened and the fixture was planned right from the start pre season, regardless who is to blame , it doesn't look good .Regarding the British championship round in Glasgow ,I can't see what effect a meeting 325 miles away would have on a meeting in Peterborough
  5. Although Panthers tried to get this meeting on for next sunday , and the late cancelation must be down to our showground landlords, I've got a feeling Ged will not be very happy about it, we need the continuity and for our landlords to originally grant this date for speedway only to call it off at one weeks notice is diabolical it's not the first time the've done it . In reality the date should not have been on the fixture list in the first place. Looks to me like the showground management don't give a toss about speedway but they are quite happy to keep taking rental fees whenever it suits them to allow speedway meetings.
  6. Note the comment came from a Rye House fan , but there is an element of truth in it with entrance and exiting the showground and the Panthers management did attempt to put on the meeting
  7. Motor Cycle News festival weekend surprised it's taken so long to cancel it . I asked the question weeks ago but nobody responded to my query
  8. Good advice Jenga . Your man Hansen done us proud today, great performance good to see and just the tonic the other riders needed to lift them. I was glad to shake his hand , it was a good meeting and Simon Stead put in a faultless paid max, thought we might have got turned over again..So it was a good all round performance .
  9. But I do know what the rest of the speedway in Britain would think about it
  10. Is there anything in the rules that would stop Panthers changing there race night or is there a hidden rule that is yet to be made up by certain members of the FAMOUS FIVE even Enid Blighton couldn't make this up
  11. That would be fitting now wouldn't it, the very person who wants to block Panthers signing him signs him for his own team ?
  12. I can understand your feelings and frustration Panthers are on a low ebb at the moment but we cannot fault Ged Rathbone's efforts he's doing a great job and is very ambitious to gain success but is being thwarted by the B.S P. A , when attempting to make changes due to a same day technicality . In the bandit's case it's a bit different as there still some middle order riders out there who would be an improvement for you all it takes is a bit of time and a bit of research, no disrespects to Henning Bager but he's a small technical track rider who lacked any sort of consistency in his previous spells over here definitely not suited to Berwick.
  13. Sorry for you fans having to put up with this signing , whatever are your management thinking of. Just a mystery to me ,I could name for you at least 8 riders that would do a much better job for you and at least 2 of them would be English and all 8 I would think available to sign , clearly your management have not been doing there homework.
  14. Must have been ,National league rider would be a better option , I did mention he was a white line hogger and wouldn't be suitable on the bigger tracks when I first heard of him signing. I don't expect to see much improvement from him . Sorry Berwick fans you've not pulled a rabbit the rabbit has turned into a tortoise
  15. Lambert I feel will be ok it's Grondal's form that bothers me
  16. You made that point a week or so before it was announced but probably you and myself were perhaps the only people on here who thought that way, I would love it to happen but thought all the time that it was a no goer and now Private Godfrey has put his foot in the door and said his bit I still see very little chance of it happening. on another note why can't Campton's 2014 average be carried over to this season any idea?
  17. Campton was in the 2014 Workington team so can't his average be carried from there or have the B.S.P.A' made a ruling against that happening as well
  18. You've got think Sheffield are coming at the right time to win and they must really fancy there chances as Panthers are understrength with supporters and riders on a low ebb. Well done B.S.P.A.
  19. And perhaps you can tell us which team will it benefit most this season.
  20. Which will be 5 regardless of his prospective minus 3 average he will achieve
