  1. Carl Johnson is now the team manager full stop as Jason Attwood has resigned his position by mutual consent. In my book Carl is the best man for the job, if anybody can get them motivated there's nobody better.
  2. But not as old as Jesus and you've accepted him .
  3. Perhaps that's why he's been missing for Panthers then.
  4. As you say it was a long time ago, even giving the 2 reserves the supposed favoured gates 1 & 3 in heat 2 is no guarantee that they would done any better . And as for you to suggest instead of changing riders get rid of the team manager , well it's not the team manager who rides the bikes is it, personally I happen to think Carl Johnson is doing a great job and if anybody can motivate them better where are they
  5. Nothing to do with rating who is the better team , i'm just saying that I wouldn't expect Tigers to loose 2 consecutive matches at home and Tigers will be making sure it is unlikely to happen and Witches will be up against a fired up Sheffield team on the rebound.
  6. Expecting the Tigers to lose 2 consecutive matches is a tough ask for any team to take advantage of . I would expect them to be well geared up for this meeting.
  7. Has he been riding this season if not it's not just his equipment but his fitness will also have a part to play.
  8. To be honest it's difficult to see where they can get anybody better with rider availability at a premium at this time of the season, at least they have not wasted any time in filling the position even if it backfires on the promotion . It Must be worth a try.
  9. We are happy with 4 away points in 2 meetings , when was the last time Workington done that.
  10. See your point ,well Panthers were using r/r for Perry whilst he was out injured as he was 4th in team average rules applied was 1 rider above plus 5th and 2 reserves could take his rides you can argue as much as you like whether it's right or wrong same as you could argue that he was supposed to be the protected NO7 without any protection . The problem being that the powers that be didn't have the wisdom to believe that a protected NO7 would ride well enough to get in the main body of the team . I thought regardless of what he achieved he was to be the permanent NO7 for the season as well as all the other NO7's but obviously that's not so.
  11. Ostergaard did it twice in the league match for Panthers at Rye House this season
  12. By all accounts he didn't ride at Workington either and to think we are giving him rides when we could be grooming a national league rider he's got to go. no two ways about it , he's just not good enough.
  13. You are wrong, if you change 1 rider it's like for like average wise but if you change more than 1 then you have to re-declare 1 to7 within42.50 limit disgarding Perry and Morris for Thomsen and a 3 pointer would take total to 43.13 . A 3 pointer and another rider upto 5.99 is the tops.
  14. Anders Thomson and a3 pointer to replace the above mentioned would take us over the limit Thomsen's average is 6.62 and we would only have 5. 99 to play with but at 5.89 Nicoli Klindt would fit but not sure about his sunday engagements in Poland.
  15. Seem to remember Arthur Browning coasting round on last lap with only 3 riders in race was excluded for malingering at the showground representing Birmingham in late 70's or early 80's. So yes you are correct unless there has been a rule change.
  16. But not if you win it , it's another trophy , whether you consider it a micky mouse contest or not.
  17. Just replacing Morris would not mean Perry reverting back to reserve as Perry's August average is 5.21 and who ever comes in to replace Morris cannot be above Lambert's 5.07
  18. 64 dollar question that one, maybe amongst our Danish riders they have some knowledge of up and coming youngsters from there homeland who would come in on a 5 point average, but that would be some gamble. Anything above 5.07 means moving 2 riders out and reverting to 42.50 limit. For instance taking out T.Perry and A.Morris means the other 5 would total 33.51 and replacing Perry with a compulsory 3 pointer taking total to 36.51 would leave 5.99 for the last rider but i'm not suggesting that's the way to go either.Tough one to call which ever way they go with
  19. Anybody with 3.07 average or less which is not a lot different from a 3 pointer, must admit the rules are very confusing with paragraphs within paragraphs and subsections , is it any wonder officials can't get it right, and when they get it wrong they offer reasons why such a thing has happened and try to make it look acceptable even though they know its not correct . The rules are an embarrassment
  20. To be honest with you after 3 races and leading by 10 points I thought Tigers were about to launch a massacre , Stead withdrawing and using rider replacement as well was always going to stretch Tigers resources . A very fortunate win for Panthers
