    According to Rob Godfrey in the programme notes from the championship pairs, they are monitoring the situation closely and there are people prepared to run it

    I must have imagined it when I watched them all race in the national league then. Riders always progress, rather than discredit the opposition, I prefer to give them credit and think it’s great to see riders like Luke Harrison, Will Cairns and Cooper Rushen developing and not only doing well in the championship but in the premiership as well

    Where do you think the likes of Tai Woffinden, Dan Bewley and Robert Lambert came from?

    The big difference with bangers is that the drivers PAY to race so you get income from the paying public but don’t pay out the salaries that you do for speedway riders.

    Arlington has been saved!! Spedeworth have taken a full lease of the stadium from the Dugard’s and will invest to do all of the remedial work required to reopen. Given that Spedeworth are friendly landlords of speedway at the likes of Northampton and Mildenhall, surely this is a great chance for speedway to return at Eastbourne

    Is that honestly the best rider they could get? No disrespect to Mitch but he’s a number 7 on a 3.00 average replacing a heat leader. I’ll save my £22 this week I think as this will easily be another 60 points for the Pirates

    And seriously what was the point of that change in a meeting where Poole won by 27 points, it’s not like the result was ever in doubt so all it will do is dent the confidence of a 16 year old rider who is still learning. Does anyone know how Luke Harrison is? That was a nasty looking fall, hope he’s ok

    It doesn’t quite add up, housing applications take months to go through so they may as well had let the fixtures continue to have some income. I don’t understand how it’s nothing to do with the Dugards this time as they are the stadium owners, unless it’s an outside factor such as the stadium being repossessed?

    I did read that it can’t be sold for housing as the site is too contaminated, not sure how true that is

    Best news would be if Spedeworth buy the stadium as they seem friendly towards speedway at other venues, Mildenhall, Northampton etc
