I've obviously missed these changes. We are travelling independently, but I know that Travel Plus tours (who advertised this very weekend in Speedway Star a while back), are taking a large party from various UK airports to stay at the Holiday inn in Bydgoszcz for these fixtures. I know of around a dozen from my local track who are going with them. Can you tell me when the changes were made and where they were announced? I just checked the Leszno website and it still shows the fixtures as I described them. So does Torun's website!

I'm heading to the Torun v Czestochowa match on Friday 4th August, the Bydgoszcz v Tarnow match on 5th August and the Leszno v Gorzow match on the Sunday, 6th August. Should I buy tickets before, via the internet for myself and pals, or are we going to be ok just to arrive and pay at the door? Any advice most welcome, thanks!

Scotland's B Team Vs Scotland's A Team
stewmac replied to kermitfrog's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You can't win expect to win against the Tiggers when you throw points away left, right and centre as Edinburgh did tonight. First Pickering threw away a point in heat 1 by falling then he failed to beat Jack Smith in heat 6. Clegg continues to look bereft of any idea of how to beat anyone and it's now imperative a replacement is sorted out for him. Wells went from champ to chump, and Davey continues to do the bare minimum without ever excelling. And I'd also question the fact that Mark Riss only had 6 rides. The way he was used wasn't exactly sensible, keeping the first half of the meeting so empty of his rides. Was it sensible to use the crap gating Pickering in heat 10? I'd have used Riss there, as he'd likely have outgated one or both of the Tiggers. Had Monarchs ridden to the top of their game and used their reserve to his full capacity I'd have thought we should have won by at least 4-6 and probably by enough to secure all 3 points. No doubt who the happier team will be tonight. -

Paid yesterday using debit Mastercard and found the whole thing easy, as I was using Google Chrome browser on my iMac, which automatically translates everything to English. Enjoyed that match tonight, fantastic picture. I like the fact that when you click on each channel available, it gives a listing of that's on for the next 12 hours or so, which is making me salivate,. the amount of speedway on the various channels is amazing!

Polish Ekstraliga 2017 Fixtures
stewmac replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
Yes, landing at 1345 and staying at the Holiday Inn in Bydgoszcz. Been there before, so I know I will be at the hotel by 1430 if all on time. Probably will get a taxi from the Holiday Inn to the track at Torun. Last time I went we took an ancient bus from Bydgoszcz which took about 50 minutes, so we should have plenty of time if we have a freshen up at the hotel first. With a bit of luck there might be a fixture at Bydgoszcz on the Saturday or Sunday that weekend too ;-) Many thanks for the replies guys! -
I would agree with the first half of your statement. As to the second half, depends what you want. Of course, it's almost impossible to unearth a Bewley every year, but you should be trying to build a team who are on the way up, and improving. All this talk about being a nice guy, or he deserves a chance because he never got it last year, or even he'll do a job at number 7 may be fine for some. But I will repeat again - he has been around for donkeys years and NEVER shown much ability to do anything. Why would that change suddenly now? If he's included at 7, I see that as very much a defeatist and non-ambitious attitude by the Monarchs management, which would be a surprise to me.

Thank you. I'm planning to fly into Bydgoszcz that day at 1345, so should be able to get along to Torun in plenty of time for it. ;-) -
Polish Ekstraliga 2017 Fixtures

I am looking at the fixture at Torun on Friday 04.08. I'm planning on spending that weekend in Bydgoszcz - arriving 04.08 at 1400hours. Can anyone confirm the start time for Friday fixtures at Torun please? -
So do I, but liking someone is no reason to sign them, nor to imagine they might be able to suddenly score points after many years of failing to do so. I imagine the fans of Berwick and Glasgow are quaking in their boots at the thought of Clegg returning to burn up their shale in 2017. Not. He was hopelessly out his depth in the majority of away matches last year, so the idea that he'd sign for someone else and suddenly start knocking in double figure scores is a little far-fetched.

Totally and utterly underwhelmed by the re-signing of Clegg. Some things to consider: 1) He was mince at almost every away track for Monarchs last year, and that was from reserve. 2) He stuck his finger up well and truly at the team by failing to show for their last home match in 2016. Somewhat surprised he's getting another chance given the above. If he is going to make a success of 2017 in a second string position he will have to have his top league machinery available for Monarchs matches too. I still think he'll let us down. And if he doesn't hit the ground running from the start, I hope there is a contingency plan to have someone better in quickly. On a separate note, I pray to God that Davey isn't in the equation. He's been around for donkeys years and never shown the slightest hint he'll make a breakthrough. Why would he be capable of it now?

I've read several posts like this in recent weeks regarding the delays due to poor presentation, long delays, kiddies races and endless tractor racing.Perhaps some of the Tiggers fans who slagged off my 1 star review of Glasgow last winter on their FB page (for precisely these reasons - I will repeat that the stadium changes are fabulous) will now accept that I was not making things up, nor was I trying to upset you. I was only stating facts at the time. It seems a good number of Tiggers fans in various threads here are making the exact same points now.

Glasgow Vs Somerset Cup Final 1st Leg 9th Oct
stewmac replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Yes, we did and it backfired spectacularly. At the time I slated our management who fully deserved it. But to state it happens every time Tiggers roll into town is nonsense.
