  1. I wouldn't be surprised if Zmarzlik himself asked to be included. He desperately needs track time to help sort out his starting.
  2. Grisha is a standard diminutive for Gregori. Every Russian called Gregori is also called Grisha. In the same way, every Alexander in Russia is also called Sasha.
  3. Disappointingly poor Toruń track. If I was involved with OneSport, I'd be having a strong word with the track team there, to ensure they make a much better job of it for the final round at the end of the month. No real excuses. They've had 10 months to get it right.
  4. 16 year old Marcus Birkemose is also waiting in the wings and may even be named as the number 16 tomorrow.
  5. Clarification re the fliers last night: Boss of referees, Leszek Demski clarified after the 1st round that riders may take the risk and if they get a perfect start (previously seen as a flyer) it is now not to be ruled as a false start. It's still forbidden to move before the tapes rise, but if the rider times it to perfection, it's not to be penalised. These are the rules from now, hence why some of you thought riders were getting fliers.
  6. Haha, you've answered a pm question I've just sent you!
  7. Miesiąc crashed and hurt his chest in practice so it would make sense to have him as the one missing out.
  8. Yes. If you join Continental Speedway Facebook page, I always post them as soon as they appear, usually 24/48 hours afterwards. The ones I put up don't disappear afterwards; they come from secure and hidden addresses, so won't be taken down. All last year's matches are in the archive section of the Facebook group.
  9. Or, you can see them all here on the blog I created for leagues across Continental Europe... http://speedwayteams2020.blogspot.com
  10. Going back to my first comment, which was in reply to your claim that deaths are being over reported, you have said nothing to back up your claim.
  11. Of course, it's all connected. But you're not going to tell me that the 15 folk who died this week in an old folks' home close to me, all displaying the Covid symptoms, were going to drop dead of the things above in the space of a few days are you? Similarly, in my small town of 7,000 I know of two deaths of people under 30 in the last fortnight who didn't even make it to hospital due to sudden onset of symptoms, and yet they won't be included in the figures. Repeat these sorts of figures all over the country and you have a hell of a lot more people than are being officially reported.
  12. I'm afraid you have that completely wrong. The figures given each day only include those who have died in hospital and been confirmed as having died having Covid19. The true figures are very much higher, as community deaths and those in old folks' homes are not included...a fact that has been repeatedly highlighted in Scotland by the FM.. This link is only one of multiple that confirm this: https://www.ft.com/content/c07e267b-7bca-418f-ad9e-8631a29854cb
  13. I'm coming rapidly to the conclusion there will be no racing this year. I have tickets for Wroclaw GP but I don't see it taking place in August.
  14. The problem with this type of attitude though is that the more who do as you are suggesting you might, the less effective the strategy will be and therefore the more will become infected, and ultimately die.
  15. Again I agree with the majority of your reply. However, there is no way we as a country can now keep an accurate track of our infection rate now the advice given today which stated that if you have symptoms, just self isolate and don't bother calling the doc or 111.
  16. While I agree with you, children are surely able to transmit the virus, even though they may not suffer badly from it. With a significant number of teaching staff who are in their later years, and therefore presumably also possibly with health issues ( I speak as one myself, along with several others in my small school) there must be a good chance of infection and problems for them too. What irks me a bit today is that while the W.H.O. has been calling urgently for all countries to act aggressively to slow things down, here in the UK we seem happy to take little dramatic action as yet. This could have fatal consequences for many.
  17. The news yesterday that Zielona Góra has the first case in Poland, and that all mass events in the city, including sport have been cancelled for the next two weeks must be worrying for speedway in Poland. We are at a point now where if cases increase, as seems likely, sport will happen behind closed doors, if at all. Certainly in Poland at any rate.
  18. Can someone remind me - what's the ruling here? Can Poles who are U23 ride in these positions or not? My understanding was it has to be non Poles.
  19. 91zl actually equals nearly £20. That's a hefty excess to add to each of 44 tickets!
  20. I made a group booking of 44 tickets before the general sale. These tickets were priced at 270zl each for the main grandstand, and I assumed, wrongly it turned out, that this would be the price they would be sold at to the general public. When I found out at the weekend that these same seats next to my group were going to be sold at 179zl, I complained bitterly to the club. Their response was that this was an admin fee (91zl per ticket!) and that events such as this, with high demand in Poland often offer advance tickets such as ours at double or three times the usual price, and I should be happy that in our class it was only roughly a 50% surcharge!! To say it left a sour taste would be an understatement, even though I know it guaranteed my group their tickets. R&R, I will forward the email discussion to you after I've eaten...
