In that case I'd go with.... C Cook 10.18 S Jensen 4.34 R Wells 7.05 A Summers 7.51 R Lawson 8.32 C Bailey 3.11 C Coles 2.00 42.51 total but with 2.5% reductions we'd be fine.

C Cook 10.18 S Jensen 4.34 R Wells 7.05 P Starke 6.49 R Jensen 9.05 C Bailey 3.11 C Coles 2.00 Total = 42.22 less allowable 2.5% reductions. Obviously based on a 42.5 limit, assuming the rumours are true.

So if Redcar progress on Saturday it’s Glasgow v Redcar next week with the away leg on Thursday - the same day as the Swindon v Ipswich match. Who has priority for Claus and Rasmus? I’d have said Glasgow as they rode for us first but seem to remember reading something about the Premiership taking priority.

Redcar v Leicester Semi final

Any word on the Leicester home match? I wonder if Redcar will stick with Jake Allen for the home leg as well as the away leg, meaning Leicester can't use either Lawson or Allen for that leg. -

Should’ve supported your old boys rather then sticking with your usual stance of anyone but Glasgow -
Great idea, especially being a double header, Craig might end up in profit after paying his fine!!

Wonder if we should see if they'll do a collection at Eastbourne on Saturday to help pay his fine....

On Wednesday 11th September a SCB Court of Appeal was convened at the ACU Offices in Rugby. This related to an appeal brought by Craig Cook against a 12 day suspension imposed following events that took place at Eastbourne on the 3rd August 2019.After considering all the information from all parties, the 12 day suspension was recinded and replaced with a financial penalty.

Glasgow v Berwick , CL 6/9/19@19-30
Solidmango replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Now confirmed - 6.30 start on Saturday. -
Looking at the averages MBA looks likely to drop to reserve from the 1st September with Kyle moving to the main body of the team. Hopefully Kyle keeps up his impressive season and this could make us a bit stronger at reserve as well.

Lions v Glasgow 17th August

Nope, MPT has the same average as Vissing so that is fine. At home Glasgow can have a guest with an average of 6.8 plus 5% -

In football you wouldn’t have an unattached youth player take the place of your star man would you?! Yes the guest situation isn’t ideal but it does mean fans still see a competitive fixture, unfortunately this country doesn’t have the privilege of having squads where a suspension/injury to one rider means another from that squad take his place. This is not a new rule re suspensions, it has been the case for years in this country. -

Got to wonder why Bowtell didn’t get the same ban for his violence a month or so ago?! -

No race - no need for marshals, pretty simple really. He slows down when the fruit cake with the red flag steps in his way!! -

I'll give you a wee hand, this is straight from the SCB rule book, the only section mentioning the red flag. So, did the referee put the red lights on?! 14.14 The TRACK CURATOR (who must be formally approved by the SCB) ensures the track and all connected aspects receives timely and suitable preparation prior to and during a Meeting. a) They must be fully aware and responsible to ensure compliance of these Regulations, specifically Art.9.2.1 (provision of a fixed APD’s, spare APD Panels and Inflatable Pumps), Art.9.2.2 (advertising on fences), Art. 9.2.3 (Neutral Zone), Art.9.2.4 (Infield requirements), Art.9.2.5 and 9.2.5.1 (Inner and Outer Edge markings) and Art.9.5 (minimum equipment requirements and shale). b) confirm to the Referee by means of the Meeting Certificate of the type and quantity of Equipment available and that it is in working order. c) Assisted by Track Marshals ensure that the track is clear of all objects as soon as the 2-minute warning is sounded and that the Red Flags are shown immediately the Referee shows the Red Stop lights. -

Since when did a red flag on a speedway track mean stop instantly regardless of where you are and do not move? A red flag is waved, they should slow down and return to the pits. The marshal clearly walks to his left into the line of the bike and deliberately causes a collision. -

It might look totally different but the angle we have seen it from gives a pretty clear idea of what happened in that particular incident - no need to be there or have any other angles. I find it strange that Eastbourne/MD are not releasing the remainder of the video, unless of course they have something they'd rather not be in the public domain. -

I’ve got 2 possibilities for what went through the marshals head; This parade is a bit boring and I fancy a game of: 1) British bulldogs with a speedway bike 2) bullfighting - I’ve got the flag, let’s go! -

If someone walks out in front of a guy on a bike with no brakes it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out he will get hit. Why did he take 2 steps to the left?! Cook may have overreacted but he's hardly likely to get off and shake the guys hand when he's almost caused him to fall off his bike! Interesting that the video is over 3 mins long but Eastbourne have chosen to release just 18 seconds, I wonder what happened in the remaining 2.5 mins that we haven't been shown!!
