Never a truer word spoken. Paco great tonight so I give credit where it is due. So what was different against Plymouth and at Oxford. Felt for Lasse and young Max tonight, deserved more.. Thought Ace would have gone better for Tigers. Seems to be going through a rough patch. Made my night seeing Cookie back at the Dale in the blue and gold.

IMO it’s the league performances that define a season and a bonus if you go deep into the cup.

One swallow does not a summer make. Our top 5 is more or less the same as last year. Sedgy coming in for Cookie. We had a lot of illness and injuries last year and missed Josh so badly. What made people think that we could challenge top 4 this season?

Didn’t watch stream as was out. Looking at scores, an absolutely lamentable performance from Paco. Nice guy but surprised he was back this year, let alone be given the captaincy.

Pleased to see Cookie back to his old self. I wasn’t there yesterday but wasn’t surprised at the result. We signed essentially same top 5 as last year with Justin in for Craig. As mentioned before our senior reserve is struggling. We didn’t have our 1 and 2 and no way did we have depth to cover R/R with three reserves in team. Monarchs had been interested in Vuolas too but he signed for Comets. Would have liked to have seen some fresh faces blended in with senior riders. Other commitments permitting I often go to Workington matches on Saturdays to support Cookie. Great racing, lovely people and an exciting team.

You never get Kye and Paco scoring well in the same meeting. Consistently inconsistent. As a team, their gating is poor.

Maybe better suited to rowing or tug o war. Starts out in front then rapidly goes back the way. Feel for the guy but he really needs to up his game to let young Max develop.

Apologies to Paco. on updates I said he wasn’t leading from front then he proceeded to do so. Embarrassing performance from Monarchs today. Stall was set out with R/R for Josh. no strength in depth. Worky 1to 5, a great blend of youth and experience. 2 exciting young riders. We used to do things like that.

Improvement is incredible. If Plymouth can sort out their No 1 , could be dark horses for play offs. they didn’t need one to beat us. 3 points from reserves. Thought promotion would have known last year Dayle not standard for this league. Paco poor tonight. Any names in frames fit Monarchs number one tomorrow?

A contentious decision but there aren’t many matches where there isn’t something that sparks debate. The proverbial ‘first bend bunching’ when a rider is knocked off. Different referees interpretation of when a rider is ready at the tapes to name but two. Bottom line is the match should have finished at heat 15, a draw. Super heat is plain silly. Mr Brown not doing himself any favours labouring the point.

Was the 30 days not held over for a year. So the combined age of Monarchs reserves is 58 for this match. Connor needs to start dominating heat 2 at home.

Feel for any team that is affected by any rider’s ban. Anybody advise why in some cases the used banned substance is disclosed and in other cases not. Surely supporters, especially the Tiger’s fans have a right to know.

Don’t know if I like this super heat thing. By all means a golden heat if aggregate after a second leg. know it benefitted my team tonight but think match should end after heat 15 in leg1.
