Any news on Edinburgh 2016 on this thread. Seem to keep typing the above sentence.

GP badly needs Emil back. Can't believe Lindback has been given a wildcard. Bomber gets pelters but at least he is there on merit. Did it the hard way.

Peterborough Panthers 2016
Endeavour replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Don't know if Worrall R and Ben could both fit into a Glasgow team if they retained Summers Lawson and Sargeant. My calculation is 36.89 leaving 5.61 for 2 riders?????? -
Anyone gonna post anything about Edinburgh 2016
-
Think Sam could be doing with other year in PL.
-
Quite worrying if that is true Mr B. Who do you reckon won't be there?
-
Is Matthew still an Edinburgh asset?
-
l Take on board your point but if all the 3.00 riders finish 2016 with an average under 4.00 they could be struggling for a team in season 2017 if the 3 pointer rule is maintained.

Would love him at Edinburgh too! Best wishes to you guys in 2016. Always assemble an entertaining team.

Individual Manipulation Of Averages
Endeavour replied to Robinh88's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Edinburgh v Glasgow at the Dale a few years ago in June. Don't need to say any more. Sorry wrong thread. Should be in one called team manipulation of averages. -
Nurture two young boys in 2015 and both finish with averages below 4.00 which you would have thought would have given Monarchs the chance to benefit in 2016 with Max and Rob having had a years experience in PL under their belts. Cue the new 3.00 reserve rule and looks like we won't have both in the team. Couldn't make it up.

Open Season On Nicki
Endeavour replied to TheReturn's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Take out who the riders were and look at the race. Older, much more experienced rider pulls hard but fair move on rookie GP rider. GP rookie feels hard done by and flicks wheel at other rider when race finished. A conciliatory pat on the shoulder does not appease the young rider and it all kicks off with pit crew weighing in. In short young rider over reacted as did the over zealous pit crew. Throw in NIcki's name and the slant on the incident goes in another direction. Edinburgh fan but bottom line was Smiler over reacted. -
Adam Roynon has had more injuries than Tai's got tattoos. Wouldn't it be better to loan Craig out. If he ever comes back to PL would like to think that we would have first dibs on him.

Australian Gp Is Back
Endeavour replied to Stats's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Not a fan of Tai but the guy can only beat who is in GPs. Would love to see Emil back. Don't understand why a rider with his ability doesn't want to try and be World Champion. Didn't see much wrong with Nicki's ride against Sam. Hard but fair GP race. -
Purely selfish here but I hope our Dark Destroyer stays. A big decision for Cookie. Needs the income from his PL matches but may need to give up PL to see how far he can go in the sport. Whatever. He decides the blue and gold are indebted to him. thanks Marra!

Spud was a big loss to Glasgow but I still think Edinburgh would have won. IMO Rob would have scored more than young Liam's one point. The Monarchs have great "bounce back ability "and strength of character as witnessed in home defeats to Tigers and Panthers where they won away a few days later. Don't forget Sam, Kevin and Max are still not fully fit.

The day after the night before. With reference to speedway star dated April 4 2015 and the predictions for the PL. 1. Ipswich 2. Glasgow 3. Somerset 4. Peterborough 5. Edinburgh 6. Workington Actual finishing order in league 1. Edinburgh 2. Somerset 3. Glasgow 4. Peterborough 5. Sheffield 6. Plymouth Yes injuries play a part in our sport. But once again Edinburgh put together a team that came out top. I had never heard of Erik Riss. Kevin was low in confidence after a belated start to 2014 and could Cookie, Sam and Sedgy produce the goods again? Would the supposed weak tail end be Edinburgh's undoing? I take my hat off to the powers that be at Edinburgh who assembled that team. I am not a fan of play offs. If you finish top you are worthy champions. BUT what a celebration the play offs gave us in the bar. 2016 ? If he does go how can we replace the dark destroyer that is Cookie? One man does not make a team but he truly was the heartbeat this year. Here's hoping the promotion can work their magic again. Glasgow? Sad Spud didn't make it on the track but you were well received at the presentation. Young James? You showed you cared last night. Referees won't change, you need to adapt but what a prospect. Well done to Richard coming round after his last race.
-
Just new on the forum and can't believe all this nonsense about young James being victimised. Do ALL the referees get it wrong? I have attended some meetings at Glasgow this season when the blue and gold weren't there. Great facility, changed beyond belief but meetings took age to run. The letter given out (only to those not wearing Edinburgh colours) left a bad taste. This should have been a weekend celebrating our sport. Hope all riders stay safe tonight.
-
Lengthy meeting tonight. Looked for a while as if we would have 30 starts in the one meeting! Hope Rob and Spud are okay. Not much comment on who Monarchs can get at reserve. Hope Max and Sam come to the party. RE the intro. First time I have ever seem just the one team stopped and presented at starting line.

Somerset V Glasgow Play Off Semi
Endeavour replied to rustyre bel1's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
A lot of pressure on young Brady's shoulders being at number 1 although he rode well at Ashfield on Sunday. Regarding the final. Could once again a missing rider be the key. Strengthens Glasgow up Kauko not being there if Morris and Jimmy step up to the plate. Think Erik could be the key over both legs. And to Kevin? Your stage awaits you sir!
