Kenny Carter, Question Confused
Endeavour replied to Lestrade1983's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
No fan of KC as a rider but my you couldn't deny his talent on a bike. You also can't deny that he murdered his wife and if he hadn't taken his own life would have been jailed or committed if he was mentally unstable. He had a tough childhood so why deny his own kids growing up with their mother. -
Agree, looks stylish in second half races at Dale but tentative when he was reserve few years back in the Monarchs team. Still wonder if Jack Andrew Smith will fill a reserve berth in the PL.
-
Good post. Would like to think we will spring a surprise in 3.00 berth.
-
Would Jack Andrew Smith come in on a 3

Kenny Carter, Question Confused
Endeavour replied to Lestrade1983's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I was a huge Bruce fan and no doubt his rivalry with KC was good for the sport. Don't agree with riders racing with broken legs, danger to others. Couldn't ride for their team in British league but "fit" to ride in world championships rounds. You declare yourself fit to ride in both or none. -
Max, young Jye and a 3.00. Pretty weak tail end. Just got to trust that Sam becomes Cookiesque, Ryan does a Michael J Fox to 5 years ago, Kevin moves up a gear for second successive year and Erik becomes the 2016 Justin. Simple!!!!!!

The athletics vote was split 3 ways which didn't help Jess. I coach swimming and you could argue Adam merited top 3. World champion and world record holder. Swimming only really has any profile at all in Commonwealth and Olympic year. I still think Murray was one of the few along with Ennis and Peaty who would have merited it.
-
Don't agree one bit with 3 point ruling. Would see some merit in it if riders were under say 21 and we were genuinely developing YOUNG British riders.
-
There is THE MARRA And then there is the Marras.
-
Well said.
-
Unusual to see a team declare at more than a point under 42.50. Ryan will really need to up his average. Need to give the boys a chance. Anyone heard anything about the 3 pointer?
-
No problem at all with Andy Murray winning SPOTY. Where I have a problem is naming a short list. Woffinden would have a better chance and a raised profile if the short list didn't exist though I don't think he would gain enough votes to win outright.
-
Has GB "ancestry" if you look at one of his tweets but could he get UK passport and come in on a 3.00???
-
Only one of them which we are doing IE Clegg. My point is you nurture 2 x 3.00 and the next season you can't track both in the reserve berths.
-
Note your point re Louis. Last year Monarchs gave 2 young guys a chance but now due to this 3.00 ruling we can't track them at 6 and 7.
-
Can't see Lawson returning on a 3.00 and at age of 29. Saying that not many of the 3.00 number 7 riders are teenagers which I thought was what this new ruling was meant to encourage.

Were the Moran brothers 2 of the most naturally talented riders ever to grace our sport? Yes. Did they have the dedication and self discipline to reach their potential? No. Entertainers undoubtedly. Sam the Man had both the natural talent and a champions mindset.
-
The mindset Mauger had, I think he would have won even more titles in the GP system. He left nothing to chance. A great insight to this was in a chapter of his biography, think the very first one.
-
Always thought Knudsen and Adams were 2 of the best riders never to win a world individual title.
-
Probably will but rumour mill has dried up.
-
Can't think of a stand out 3 pointer that isn't yet signed up.
-
Also the change from one off world final with qualifying rounds to GPs as well.
-
Bruce's problem then was that he wasn't trying to hide the fact. He was being too open and honest. If it had been home riders. "Great team man. Taking one for the team etc etc

Should Roscoe Step Down As Gb Team Manager ?
Endeavour replied to KIRKYLANE's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Wonder if Cookie, the GB no 2 would be selected by AR next year. Hasn't happened much in the past. -
Think people need to remember that Penhall's parents died in a plane crash in 1975, he would have been about 18. May explain a bit why he was vocal about the effect on KCs family.
