  1. Yes two very different issues. Get what's coming to him? Quite a statement .
  2. Few years ago he didn't turn up for the USA for a qualifier. A rider I have a lot of respect for but some of his actions have tarnished his image. If NP had tackled him all hell would have broke loose but Greg was congratulated.
  3. Somerset - topped the league and always build a competitive team. Would have been great to see Sheffield at full strength against them in a home and away tie.
  4. Watch out for wanna be wildcard riders walking about with a Monster bottle, wearing "Grin t-shirts", swearing on microphones, and talking about being "stoked" with the "sick" results. Perfect fit.
  5. Penhall didn't deny he did it. Was openly blatant about it. Doesn't exscuse it though. Think it is Hancock's denial that I can't .get my head round. Always liked him but seen a different side in last couple of seasons. Think you will find they put water in it when at GPs.
  6. We have celebrated plenty at Ashfield. Result was never in doubt. Shame the best derby in speedway was reduced to an end of season farce. Any news on Garcia Gazc?
  7. Great sporting quote Gazc. Followed it on updates. Tension must have been unbearable. Hope Garcia is okay. Great wee guy.
  8. Think likes of Jim McGregor would have flung book at the wee Ned. Don't know much about Stuart Wilson.
  9. Have read a good deal of the posts on this thread. I am a bit biased as I am a Cookie fan. Have always admired Freddie Lindgren and have noticed he is riding a bit harder this year in GPs and the league. Hard and calculated move? Yes. Deemed acceptable nowadays? Seems so. Worry about riders safety when machines are so fast. Tai Woffinden? Admire how talented he is but no time for his petulance or how he conducts himself off the track. Sometimes silence is golden. Do your talking on the track.
  10. Would like to say a big thank you to all the folks who bust a gut to try and get the meeting on. I sit in the cow shed and it wasn't for lack of effort on their behalf. Can only be thankful the lights didn't fail when there was a race underway. Riders safety paramount. Shame the Fish didn't get his last meeting. Thanks for the memories. "Flyin with Ryan".
  11. Great it is a "weird " or "trick" track when the team we support takes a bit of a pasting. No mention when BV won there in league. Wolverhampton is what I would call a technical track and as Ivan Mauger said if they turn left speedway tracks are there to be ridden. As ex Edinburgh riders Cookie and Stevie were good tonight on the smaller track and the bottom line so should former Monarch Max have been. Lemon should have had Cookie as the tactical rider from the favoured gate. The guy can pass at Monmore Green
  12. Why does he need to wave that Monster bottle in front of cameras when he has same logo on his head. Numpty! Cookie is a great team man. Heartbeat of his team.
  13. Well done Sheffield. As mentioned previously guests could decide the title. I had taken Newcastle to win but Lamberts absence tonight has possibly cost them play off semi place. If Glasgow keep their team injury free looks like their title.
  14. Well done to Ipswich, deserved winners over 2 legs. Damage was done for the blue and gold with the performance at Ipswich. Thought Mark Riss was excellent tonight and hope he will be back next year. Season may have panned our differently if he had been in team from start of season. Think Newcastle could win the whole thing. Remember a few seasons back they topped the league but lost in the play offs so maybe pay back time. Still feel that team that tops the table are true champions but play offs can provide some great entertainment.
  15. salmon you win, salmon you lose. (Sorry!!!)
  16. No plaice like home George. All the Fish fans will be gutted.
