Tai / Rosco - Team GB 2020
Endeavour replied to TheReturn's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Going by Cookie’s comments on film after last night’s match at Glasgow. He has no intention of giving up second division in GB. Financially a sound idea but not in best interest if if wants to get into and be competitive in foreign tracks at GP level. That’s difference between Fricke and Cookie. -
Glasgow v Eastbourne, shield thingy , 23/7/19@19-30

1) type of break recommends immobilisation- so one brave rider. But Cookie was on pace against tougher opposition so should be okay. 2) no. 3) you are at home 4) yes 4) 10 points should be enough 5) not techy 5) less than 10 could be more like Boulevard of Broken Dreams rather than Citadel of Speed -
Capitate one of carpal bones which is normally treated by immobilisation.

Never had much time for Tai Woffinden but have warmed to him this year. Used to shoot his mouth off but now his comments are measured and well thought out and make sense. Rossiter has had his day although GBs chances went up the Thames without a paddle after their first race. When interviewed Rossiter should have been able to inform viewers the extent of Cook’s and Lambert’s injuries instead of smirking and going on about Janowski failing to score. He is the team manager !!! If he didn’t think Dan Bewley was fit enough to be considered for Russia he shouldn’t have been in the squad in the first place. Harris answered the call but clearly had had his day at this level. I do agree with Woffinden that GB riders who wish to succeed on the world stage need to be riding in mainland Europe. Would like to see David Howe in GB set up. -
Why the secrecy?

What is the latest re Justin. Is he still injured or has he been released?
-
Ricky IS out of form but if the other 2-5 had been cutting it it would have helped. We missed Josh big time. Victor hard to beat if he gated but he was woeful yesterday and Joel didn’t exactly set the heather on fire. So Lawson survives. A more professional approach with better machinery would help from him. Any reason Monarchs couldn’t have declared the new team before last Friday?
-
Would like to say a big well done to Diamonds. Won fair and square over 2 legs. After Friday thought we were a few points short and so it was. Josh a fantastic shift from you tonight. Mamma Mia, SOS what has happened to the Swedes, not Napoleon that surrendered they did. Sad to see Ricky struggling, hope he can turn it around. best wishes to George n the Diamonds for the final.Would like to see them or Redcar win it.

Sam rumoured for few weeks. Don’t know if any truth in it. If so would have replaced 2 Swedes start of July. Nice lads but not worked out. When Palovaara gated he took some stopping but woeful when left . Lawson had a few good moments home and away against Diamonds but has still not delivered what he should be capable of.
-
No answer to that. Mooooving on.
-
I was sitting in the cow shed. It was one of those decisions that could have gone either way though I did think there was contact. Hoping VIctor has a point to prove tomorrow and that the Swedes can gate. Haven’t seemed capable of coming from the back.
-
Lawson said at end he hoped he had turned the corner. We all would echo that as long as the corner is not in a maze.
-
Think Monarchs could have been doing with another 3 or 4 points to give them a good chance of making final. Good to have Josh back.

Edinburgh v Newcastle 12th July

Apologies for creating two topics on this. haven’t a clue how to delete one. -
Wonder what 7 riders will take to track for Edinburgh on Friday. Ricky looking in a fair bit of pain tonight.

Not a fan of his lack of professionalism Gazc. If he had invested in decent equipment he could have done a really good job for Monarchs at reserve. Invariably last to arrive at Armadale and his demeanour suggests a total lack of interest. I didn’t want him back this season. The promotion saw him as a big asset at reserve but he has let the team down badly this year. His antics against you guys with the second bike thing was the final straw for me. -

Thought Glasgow had done enough to see job done at Ashfield. Track reading reports seems to have been a leveller. re Kyle; better having a guest for Kyle than having a Kyle for a guest.
