Pleased to see Cookie back to his old self. I wasn’t there yesterday but wasn’t surprised at the result. We signed essentially same top 5 as last year with Justin in for Craig. As mentioned before our senior reserve is struggling. We didn’t have our 1 and 2 and no way did we have depth to cover R/R with three reserves in team. Monarchs had been interested in Vuolas too but he signed for Comets. Would have liked to have seen some fresh faces blended in with senior riders. Other commitments permitting I often go to Workington matches on Saturdays to support Cookie. Great racing, lovely people and an exciting team.

You never get Kye and Paco scoring well in the same meeting. Consistently inconsistent. As a team, their gating is poor.

Maybe better suited to rowing or tug o war. Starts out in front then rapidly goes back the way. Feel for the guy but he really needs to up his game to let young Max develop.

Apologies to Paco. on updates I said he wasn’t leading from front then he proceeded to do so. Embarrassing performance from Monarchs today. Stall was set out with R/R for Josh. no strength in depth. Worky 1to 5, a great blend of youth and experience. 2 exciting young riders. We used to do things like that.

Improvement is incredible. If Plymouth can sort out their No 1 , could be dark horses for play offs. they didn’t need one to beat us. 3 points from reserves. A contentious decision but there aren’t many matches where there isn’t something that sparks debate. The proverbial ‘first bend bunching’ when a rider is knocked off. Different referees interpretation of when a rider is ready at the tapes to name but two. Bottom line is the match should have finished at heat 15, a draw. Super heat is plain silly. Mr Brown not doing himself any favours labouring the point.

Was the 30 days not held over for a year. So the combined age of Monarchs reserves is 58 for this match. Connor needs to start dominating heat 2 at home.

Feel for any team that is affected by any rider’s ban. Anybody advise why in some cases the used banned substance is disclosed and in other cases not. Surely supporters, especially the Tiger’s fans have a right to know.

Don’t know if I like this super heat thing. By all means a golden heat if aggregate after a second leg. know it benefitted my team tonight but think match should end after heat 15 in leg1.

I was at Workington last Sunday and Tate is some prospect. Tom B was great at Armadale tonight.

Writing was on wall when Kye got passed by Tom when we were on a 5 1. Connor should be winning heat 2. Will support the boys but really we should have had a couple of new faces in the 1 to 5. Great to see Josh use the inside line tonight. IMO league is too diluted rider wise this year with the new team building average. Congtats to Poole, won fair and square but what a great chanceMonarchs missed after blowing an 8 point early lead.

You never know what to expect from our boys. Cole’s needs to be more dominant at reserve.
