  1. Not complaints if that was the case… so you recon something along the lines of potentially… D Thompson A Bowtell J Thompson B Barker S Nicholls Klima 3 point reserve
  2. From the rumoured 7 that is going to be at Plymouth next season I think they will be very hard to beat at home. lewy….. what’s your thoughts on Bowtell, I really like him but would you have him over Tobias Thomsen or Klima. if you could only have 2 of those 3 ?
  3. Really? A rider that scored 18, 13, 12, 13, 11, 10 and 7 at home this season. For a rider on a 6.12 average next year I think it makes sense to keep him for his home scores even if his away scores were poor last year. if Plymouth can win all the home meetings and keep away meetings close that should be enough for that play off space.
  4. I mean technically that would have been longer than 5 minutes. it’s ok angel don’t be so angry.
  5. Glasgow with all the money they could need complaining that the 1 rider over 8 rule is unfair. Scunthorpe who maybe have less money are more than likely going to be happy by this rule. I thunk the rules makes sense to the competition as a whole as realistically to make more teams competing and then therefore elevate all crowds up and down as apposed to just the good ones. I understand why people may loan at it for the big boys but I think for the league itself it will make it more competitive.
  6. If so good signing for Workington and think that maybe opens the door for Dan Thompson to Plymouth with his brother.
  7. Hypothetically speaking if all the riders were free agents and under draft and clubs picked a rider one by one. Who would be the first 5 riders to go ? Teams still have to be built to points limit and the proposed rules. but who do you think would be the first 5 riders selected ?
  8. What a 5 minutes that was…. Poole lose and Scott Nicholls announces his return for Plymouth next season.
  9. Further thoughts could be ….. 1- Klindt 2- Tobias T 3- Batchelor 4- Barker 5- Nicholls 6- Klima 7- 2.0 reserve or if no klindt maybe swap him and batch as that would be unlikely for the Thompson twins.
  10. Anyway back to team building for Plymouth…..
  11. Seems to have duplicated could a mod delete this one please ?
  12. Hopefully another season at the tapes and one I’m really looking forward to with a good back end of the season with the new riders and crowds of 1000 plus regularly. Hopefully we can carry in this good work. obviously rules and points etc will change and maybe slightly early to Chuck teams out there but as a rough guess… 1- Klindt - I feel he may have a new club abroad and be able to ride therefore for Plymouth on the regular if not would need to find a new number 1. 2- Tobias does not sound like he will be in pooles plans next year and seems to go well round Plymouth. 3- 6.83 - maybe Joe Thompson if he is keen to come back but would like to see his away scores improve. 4- barker seems like a shoe in and great support for the top 3 especially at home. 5- Scotty Nichols hopefully he’s back all the interviews at the track he’s done and online seems to show he likes it but that’s not to say he will be just hope we can convince him. 6- Klima hopefully he will be back as he showed really good promise in the couple of meetings he did do for us. 7- 2.00 rider that hopefully can improve if only slightly. Would be really gutted to see bowtell go however I just think we need to score more points away from home collectively and feel Tobias and Klima will do that more regularly.

  14. I’ve heard there could be one league of 12-14 teams. riding 2 home and 2 away. minimum 44 meetings in the season. this to me becomes a lot more appealing to riders. Suddenly they get paid as if they were doubling up, may not be as much if they were a big hitter in the prem but they get the same track at home for more meetings and then they also get to visit lot more other stadiums and the product becomes Fresh for all the teams and almost a look that can be more appealing not riding against the same team every other week. this one league the more you look in to does look better. the only question would be how the riders would be graded points wise as obviously if we can we want to keep the big guns in England but also may have to accept a short reset in order to grow the product back up.
  15. I’d like to see something along the lines off….. 1 big league this may give us say 14 teams. 7 riders per team although have thought about 6 but unsure if this actually works not done much research in to this. End of season the top 6 teams go in to the “premiership” play off (name can be changed to suit) the next 6 teams go in to the “championship” play off 3rd Vs 6th and 4th vs 5th. With the top 2 meeting the winners in the semi finals. This would allow the stronger former prem teams to push and strive for the top 6 places and then the more illustrious trophy however they wil have more fixtures and it will give lots of chances for riders to attend new tracks. on top of this plus a cup match each team should get a minimum of 24 races over the season. On top of this each team has to create a development team (team of 3 or 4 riders) who will also race over the period of the meeting and after if needed and these points will go towards the overall league table of the main team. so on the night you can get 2 points for a win, 1 if the development team win and then the bonus aggregate score. This will then allow development level riders the chance to be in the pits with stronger riders however protecting them from racing against them. This would also allow those 3/4 per team far more chances to learn and pick brains. I think that would work well. We can also keep the development league.
