French league 2021 fixtures
Dandelion replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Cheers for the information Always come through with it Already heard of all these riders, I just wondered who else France have got tbh... There seem to be a good crop of youngsters coming through Gaetan Stella and Steven Goret being the stand outs... Dunno how old the 2 Dubernards are, but if they're young, they look like good prospects also... Good for France -
There aren't many top second strings left, and the ones I listed are decent enough riders in their own rights... Someone like Ryan Kinsley strengthens the reserves more, so it's just a case of signing the second string Redcar need and strengthen at reserve instead... There are no 6.60 riders about!! So the extra point may as well be used elsewhere in the team. None of the riders I listed had been signed up at the time of my post? They have now, yes

Ouch... Bit rich coming from you like

French league 2021 fixtures

Is there any squad lists available for the French league? Never seems to be any info anywhere -
The best thing Redcar could do team wise right now, if they're struggling for a new 6.60 rider after Lewis Bridger turned them down would be to drop Jordan Jenkins and bring in a 3 star rider, meaning they only have 5.60 to fill. Don't think they'd do that to Jordan though, they don't seem like the club to do things like that. The team could look like this though, which is a lot strong that what may be in reality (Unless they pull a rabbit out the hat) 1 Charles Wright © 9.35 2 3 Jordan Stewart 5.74 4 Kasper Andersen 4.86 5 Michael Palm Toft 8.18 6 Anders Rowe 4.27 7 Ryan Kinsley *** Total: 32.40 (5.60 left) Leaving options such as: James Shanes (5.18) Valentin Grobauer (5.38) Zach Wajtknecht (5.14) - Assuming he's making a comeback? Connor Mountain (4.61) Gives the team a much stronger look to it, having better reserves and not as many spare points left over in the end? As I say though, don't see Redcar leaving Jordan high and dry, but interesting to see what could have been. I think Tom Perry also fits within the rules as a 3 star rider, so he in another option instead of Ryan? It's not all doom and gloom like some people think it may be, saying there's no options to make a strong team.

Birmingham Brummies 2020
Dandelion replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think his last season in uk was 2013? Where he achieved an average of 7.56. Multiply that by 1.5 to get his championship average and he would have a 11.34 average... Quite the average there like. I suppose something like this would have been on the cards then? Martin Smolinski 11.34 Ashey Morris 5.32 James Shanes 5.18 Paco Castagna 4.93 Chris Harris 8.48 Tom Perry 3.38 Jack Thomas ** Total: 38.63 Back to the drawing boards... Looks like it would have been a decent team that. Or maybe even Ryan Kinsley, JPB if he making a return, or Georgie Wood if he still rides, instead of Tom Perry. Hmmm -

Tried? Presumably unsuccessfully? That would have been a really interesting signing and I would have loved to have seen Martin at Brough Park, wonder what his average would have been... -
These 3.00er kids have been racing in the junior leagues for years, which is arguably more dangerous, sharing the track with 3 other 'wobblers' then riders who know what they're doing in this league like Max Clegg and Nathan Greaves... Injuries are just unfortunately part of the sport, especially for the young kids who are pushing themselves harder and harder each meeting to improve... Everyone's got to start somewhere

I imagine that Henry Atkins is riding for eastbourne?

He posted about me fiiirst!!!

All teams do look weak compared to how the NL used to be, it's a very weak league now, but that's what it's all about, a lot of young up and comers, they won't win the league... But they sure will develop some youngsters. Interesting hearing about this Scottish championship thing. Is there any 10-15 year old Scots knocking about that anyone can tell us about.

Decent looking team for the Devils this season

Championship League Predictions
Dandelion replied to W9 Lion's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
1. Eastbourne - Very strong 1-5 with brilliant reserves. 2. Leicester - Very strong 1-5 with brilliant reserves, at home. May struggle a tiny bit away with their lack of experience at this level. The only thing separating the top two, very tight between the two teams. 3. Glasgow - Powerful number 1 and possibly the strongest reserve partnership in the league, will be very strong at home but I feel won't beat some of the stronger teams away as they have a couple hit and miss riders (Ricky, Justin and Ulrich.) 4. Redcar - A lot depends on their 3rd signing, but with the riders who are left available, don't see them using up all their available points, if they can pull a rabbit out of the hat, they will compete with Eastbourne and Leicester imo. Best rider in the league at number 1 too and arguably the best reserve with Anders? 5. Poole - Best top 3 in the league but not a huge amount beyond that, Danyon should do well at reserve and Stefan always gives 110%, not sure about the 2 new Aussies, don't know much about them. Poole should make the playoffs, and I'm sure any underperforming rider will quickly be replaced... 6. Plymouth - Think a lot of people are underestimating the ability of some of the riders in this team. Henry is top class around the arena and Alfie is very good there too, very strong reserves. Dillon will be used to small tracks in the USA and I think he will make a very good 3rd heatleader. Steven is a very exciting rider who I have the priviledge to watch on more than one occasion in France, for a teenager he looks to have a massive career ahead of him and he should be able to take to the arena very well. Jason and Bjarne are 2 big names who shall draw in the crowds and add a bit of entertainment and priceless experience for the 5 youngsters in the team. Plymouth SHOULD make the playoffs, and I look forward to making the 6 hour journey to see them. 7. Edinburgh - A lot will depend on how well the 2 new lads get going, Kye should feel relatively at home with the pedigree of Australians the Monarchs have bought through the ranks and currently have in the team, Max Fricke and Sam Masters spring to mind. Lasse looks like a decent little prospect so should be able to do a decent enough job for the Monarchs. That being said, I don't think they look quite as strong on paper as the teams above. 8. Kent - Starting to get towards the weaker end of the table now. Think Kent have enough experience to top the 'weaker teams table'. Scott Nicholls and Cameron Heeps should be able to add invaluable experience and help the younger lads (Dan and Ben) on very well, who should both be decent reserves. Looking forward to seeing how Tom Bacon gets on, as he should surprise a few this year imo. Paul Hurry is an interesting name. 9. Birmingham - A lot will obviously depend on who their remaining 3 signings are, but they seem to have a decent reserve pairing with Paco and Jack. Chris Harris is a good number 1 and Ashley is a 110% trier. If they can get 3 decent signings I think they may be bumped up a few places here. 10. Berwick - Another typical Berwick team, not the worst but nowhere near the playoffs. Nice to see 2 young, local talents at reserve, Leon should be near enough unbeatable at home against any other reserve in the league. Nikolaj should do a decent job, but they really need to get Dany going away from home, as this is one of the biggest weakness of the team. At least the 1-7 should have decent enough chemistry, which I can see pushing them away from the wooden spoon. 11. Scunthorpe - Scunthorpe have an ok enough team, but I just can't see them looking any stronger than the teams above. Yes they've got ok reserves and I think at home they will be very difficult to beat. But having Auty, Jorgensen, Aarnio and the inexperience of Jordan at reserve, they may struggle away from home. Of course, a lot depends on their final signing, but I really don't see who is available??? 12. Newcastle - My beloved Newcastle. I appreciate the situation the club has been in the last couple of years, with the takeover and the delayed start we had behind everyone else, and tbh we've got a pretty good team scraped together. However, we have a few too many unknowns imo. James Wright is a big unknown, he looked good at the Ben Fund last season and in years gone by, he was a decent rider, however that was an awful long time ago. An even bigger unknown is Adam Roynon's love (Or lack of) for Brough Park, really hope he can get to grips with the track and he can have an injury free season. Joe Alcock, to me, isn't good enough for this level yet, I don't want to sound harsh, but it's true. If we were going to go for that level of rider, I would have much rather have seen either Josh or Archie, think if we could have gone for someone like Connor Coles at reserve, I'd have been a lot more confident. I do however love the fact that Max and Matty are back and at 3 and 4, they should be a brilliant pairing around Brough, worth a lot more then their averages suggest. Fingers crossed my negativity is wrong, but I don't see Newcastle anywhere but the wooden spoon this year, if we finish with this team. However, I don't really care, I just wanna see some bikes now, get out the house and see some racing!!! -
Bit surprised with this one tbh... thought he was nailed on at eastbourne. Happy to see kelsey ride though, good luck to the gems in 2021
-
Still over... smith is only 6.50, coles 7.43
-
Still over the limit... needs to be 6.81 or below to replace connor bailey for that team to work. Connor Coles is 7.43
-
Swap bailey for woolley and itll be under 1. Jack Parkinson Blackburn 2. Ben woodhull 3. Tom woolley 4. Paul Bowen 5. Jack smith 6. Harry mcgurk 7. Sam mcgurk

Birmingham Brummies 2020
Dandelion replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
They already signed aremt they? Along with Paco, jack and james -
Cannot be danno verge like... hell be well off the pace, nearly as out of his depth as joe alcock will be
-
Scott Nicholls? Looks like he wont be at Peterborough
-
Hope scotty gets signed up somewhere...
-
Actually... isn't the rising star in the team the weakest one? At eastbourne jason Edward's had to be the rising star. So if james Shane's is signed... hell have to be the rising star. So no Shane's... I assume Ashley Morris and stefan Nielsen then? If both of them aren't rising stars
-
Jamie Halder it is then
