  1. I think one British reserve should be kept, any average, and still 42.5 limit
  2. My last team, I thought the limit was 40.5 so I'll try again Without Iversen - If all riders are fully committed, I'd like to see... 1. Peter Kildemand 7.10 2. Kenneth Bjerre 5.87 3. Szymon Wozniak 6.06 4. Mads Korneliussen 6.04 5. Robert Lambert 6.92 6. Lewis Rose 5.00 7. Troy Batchelor 5.49 Total 42.48 Solid all the way through, as long as all the riders perform this team would score solidly every night all the way through the team, and it would allow for 1 rider to have an off night as certain riders here and known to do *Coughs* Batchelor...
  3. I thought the team limit for the EL was 40.5? Well if it's 42.5 I might as well try again O.o Christ I'm 2 points below the limit 1. Max Fricke 7.14 2. Danny King 6.87 3. Chris Harris 6.77 4. Jason Garrity 6.05 5. Przemyslaw Pawlicki 6.75 6. Kacper Woryna 4.80 7. Josh Bates 4.00 Total 42.38 Good reserves, I feel Fricke would do a decentish job at 1, King the strongest number 2 in the league? And with Harris, Przemyslaw and Jason, good line up in my opinion And you still have that young British rider at reserve if that ends up being a thing Or if you could find a decent enough 3.00 rider you could have 1. Krzysztof Kasprzak 7.91 2. Danny King 6.87 3. Chris Harris 6.77 4. Max Fricke 7.14 5. Przemyslaw Pawlicki 6.75 6. Josh Bates 4.00 7. 3.00 Total 42.44 Question is, who???
  4. Personal attack? Calling someone weird? Considering you and 'crazysue' just made it out to be a good thing to be weird, plus, if you're offended by that, you're either incredibly sensitive or seeking attention And I very much DO apologize, it must be so difficult to be that sensitive or feel the need to require such attention from people sat behind their computer screens How do you cope everyday? I have no excuse, because I didn't do anything other than post a comment on a public forum
  5. Never been a fan of Batchelor, even when he was in the GPs, apart from that 21 point maximum he got, I've NEVER seen him have a decent meeting, he always has some kind of issue Oh I thought he was the Coventry asset, is it the other Pawlicki? How about then 1. Danny King 6.87 2. Troy Batchelor 5.49 3. Scott Nicholls 6.28 4. Jason Garrity 6.05 5. Chris Harris 6.77 6. Aaron Summers 4.65 7. Josh Bates 4.00 I know Danny is at number 1, and that's pretty weak, but I'd imagine Chris Harris would push there eventually, partner him with Garrity or Summers? That's a pretty solid 1 and 2 and would leave the team with 2 strong reserves, which I think is the key to a good team, just look at Wolverhampton and Poole 1. Chris Harris 2. Jason Garrity / Aaron Summers 3. Scott Nicholls 4. Troy Batchelor 5. Danny King 6. Aaron Summers / Jason Garrity 7. Josh Bates
  6. 1. Piotr Pawlicki 7.32 2. Kacper Woryna 4.80 / Ben Barker 4.54 3. Danny King 6.87 4. Jason Garrity 6.05 5. Chris Harris 6.77 6. Aaron Summers 4.65 7. Josh Bates 4.00 Can't ever see Pawlicki riding in the PL next year XD But that'd be a really good team to watch imo
  7. Certain people in this thread are weird O.o Not wanting to name any names But as Lukas said, WTF
  8. ok then I see that point Seems like a good idea from one side, but a bad idea from the other side that I didn't think of
  9. Glasgow lent us Rene at the weekend, the team we're trying to catch for 2nd
  10. I know but it's fun to have a guess I like what they do in Sweden when they award a point to the team who's won over an aggregate score for the home and away league meeting if that makes sense, it encourages teams to keep riding to the end to get as many points as possible rather than relaxing once they pull clear of the other team during a meeting Say Newcastle beat Redcar 50-40 at home, but then only got beat 49-41 at Redcar, Newcastle would get an extra league point because they have a better aggregate score over the two meetings, even though it's not a 2 legged event, it just makes every meeting much more competitive, and makes harder away meetings much more interesting because a team could still get a point if they get beaten by 15 as long as they beat that team at home by more than 15, I'm starting to confuse myself, I hope everyone understands
  11. I think on paper Ipswich look one of the strongest in the league tbh, 3 really good heat leaders, Jacobs at reserve, someone who's scoring pretty big in the El considering who he's against, good second strings and Hume, WHOM I don't know much about (I make myself cringe) Got to admit I think Kerr is a strange guest too but you never know, can George do some team shuffling and put Kus at 5? Since he's been really on form lately and have Kerr at 3? Just noticed that Lewis Kerr got 0 for King's Lynn tonight...
  12. Didn't know that, That's great I think that is the sensible thing to do, but I just find it interesting to see what teams are possible, I'm not for one minute suggesting anything realistic, because nothing is realistic until the meeting thing happens
  13. Someone has to make way at Glasgow due to averages, all I'm saying is that if it's Rene or Aaron I'm sure they'd be welcomed at Newcastle Hope Victor comes back, I've loved watching him Are Aaron and Rene good mates like, or what makes you say that? I meant EL without a PL team Love to see both of them back Whatever happened to Dakota too? He seems to have been growing well in the EL and has disappeared this year, did he quit or just not get a visa? Never got to see him in Newcastle colors but I've heard stuff and I think he'd do good, last PL average he had was a 6.44 too, or would it now be a converted EL average? Just thinking
  14. Can see Ipswich winning this by about 10 and Newcastle to come home with nothing But I hope I am wrong!! Ipswich just seem so strong, although we did it at Somerset
  15. I know it's very early and the play-offs are still to come, but I thought I'd just share with you a few of my thoughts after watching tonight's meeting and what I'd love to see First of all, the riders this year, they have all done themselves proud and all of them have improved, even Danny to an extent, and all deserve praise, they are so close to becoming a success in two tournaments, the KOC and the Play-Offs Steve Worrall - Been great all year scoring big points starting at number 5 and has also been a great out and out number 1 for us when he's been in that position, there's no one else that I want more to come back next year, but will he want to push on to full time EL? That could make our break our team next year Victor Palovaara - I must admit, I've been pleasantly surprised by Victor this year, he's been a very solid number 2 and would have been an even better reserve if it weren't for unfortunate injuries striking Lewis Would love to see Victor back next year, but I have a feeling a certain Glasgow Tigers might have something to say about that one Matej Kus - Another pleasant surprise for me this year, Matej has far exceeded what I thought he would achieve this year, especially very recently, he's been a great heat leader in a solid line up and I'd like to see our asset back next year for sure Ludvig Lindgren - Lightning has been my favorite rider again this year, although that might be a little bias, the captain deserves another place in the team next year after CONSISTENT home AND away scores throughout the year, he's a great second string to have too Robert Lambert - Robert has been great for the most part this year, but sometimes with the large expectations and world class reputation on his young shoulders, he has had a few off races (by his high standards) and this to me shows that he needs a few more years in the PL before he moves full time EL and abroad, however I see him trying to find a Polish team place and if he does, good luck for the future Robert, and it would be a very nice Christmas gift if we heard of your return to the Diamonds in 2017 Ashley Morris - Can't judge Ashley too much considering this is only the second time I've seen him in Newcastle colors tonight, although he does look very solid and I think he'd make a great reserve for next year if he wants to come back Danny Phillips - I can see it myself, Danny has got slightly faster throughout the year, although it is FAR too early for him, I'm no expert but I would suggest he needs more time in the NL to develop before he tries the PL again, he has tonnes of potential but I don't want that to be ruined along with his confidence every week at PL level, I hope to see him, a much better rider, in a few years time beating quality PL riders Lewis Rose - I don't care what anyone says, he's the best reserve in the league by far and he's been our main key to success this year in my opinion and he is a must keep for 2017, even though he'll be in the main body, I think he can do a very good job for us there Tero Aarnio - Season cut far too short for Tero this year and I feel so sorry for him considering he was just kicking on as well Hope he recovers from his injury and operation quick so he can prove himself and find a team somewhere in 2017 As for team thoughts for next year, I'd love to see Rene Bach back if he riders like he did tonight (As he hinted, he'd like to return ), and Steve Worrall and Victor would be nice too, but there could be other teams (Glasgow and Belle Vue) standing in our way there (Assuming the rules that applied this year are the same for next year) If Steve returns this would be a good team in my opinion 1. Steve Worrall 8.98 2. Lewis Rose 5.86 3. Victor Palovaara 5.49 4. Ludvig Lindgren 7.37 5. Rene Bach 7.18 6. Ashley Morris 4.37 7. Connor Mountain 3.00 Total 42.25 However if Steve wants to move on, this would be nice 1. Aaron Summers 8.18 / Robert Lambert 8.30 2. Lewis Rose 5.86 3. Matej Kus 6.22 4. Ludvig Lindgren 7.37 5. Rene Bach 7.18 6. Ashley Morris 4.37 7. Connor Mountain 3.00 Total 42.18 / 42.30 Both teams would suit me, as long as the riders were all happy, and if we signed Rene, he's unlikely to be away on EL duties every other meeting, which is an important thing we need to tackle next year What are everyone else's thought on this other than "It's too early" I'm obnoxious for starting this I know, but I love team building and I love looking to the future to see which riders we might be watching next
  16. Thanks for clearing that up Didn't know you could do that, I thought once one was declared, he had to ride
  17. I saw that but my question was who was replacing Lambert, or do we have to rush and get one once he's failed his fitness test tomorrow, (If he does, hopefully not)
  18. I thought there'd be no chance But you never know in speedway ANYTHING could happen I really want to see Magic, Lindback and Holder to ride for Pool next year with THJ, Ellis and two others No particular order Holder Holder Magic Lindback THJ Ellis Starke Dunno if it fits?? Edit: Why am I talking about Poole on the King's Lynn thread? Sorry
  19. Maybe you shouldn't be driving to this one (One week later...)
  20. If the team building is the same I'd like to see 1. Craig Cook 9.96 2. Ashley Morris 4.37 3. Anders Thomsen 6.62 4. Kenneth Hansen 7.07 5. Ulrich Ostergaard 8.08 6. Richard Hall 3.29 7. Dan Halsey, another 3.00 rider??? Total: 42.39 OR If Cookie doesn't want to ride PL 1. Kenneth Bjerre 8.22 2. Anders Thomsen 6.62 3. Michael Palm Toft 5.84 4. Kenneth Hansen 7.07 5. Lasse Bjerre 6.90 6. Ashley Morris 4.37 7. 3.00 Total: 42.02
  21. Isn't THJ last EL average 5.69? Or will that be thrown away now and he'll have a new assessed one? As for a team I'd like to see 1. Niels Kristian Iversen 8.99 (Obvious, strong number 1) 2. Lewis Rose 5.00 (Deserves a run in the main body, been impressive both in PL and EL) 3. Robert Lambert 6.92 (Always been a good rider for KL) 4. Richie Worrall 6.00 (BV will have to drop someone from their team) (Or THJ if 5.69 instead of Richie??) 5. Kenneth Bjerre 5.87 (Steal on that average based on his form this year) 6. Kai Huckenbeck 3.56 (Steal on that average Imo) 7. Lewis Kerr 4.31 (Comeback??? Solid reserve) Other riders I wouldn't mind seeing in KL colours next year Martin Smolinski Vaclav Milik Aaron Summers Josh Grajczonek Piotr Pawlicki (Although NO chance ) Maciej Janowski to come back??? Nahhh Just some stupid suggestions ^_^ What IS the limit for teams in the EL???
