Ah ok, I shall have a read, I don't really follow this thread too much
-
Why does it look unlikely? Has he changed his mind? Or is it just something Eastbourney (Yes, that's a word now) that I don't know about
-
Couldn't agree more, as a Newcastle fan... I would like to see Connor dropped as I think it would be better for him to concentrate on winning races again in the NL and I think it would be better for both Eastbourne and Newcastle... As for a replacement, I wouldn't mind seeing either of these two eagles/former eagles, Georgie Wood or preferably, Jake Knight, who do you guys think would do a better job?
-
I still want to know who Jake Knight has signed for!! They're taking their time announcing it aren't they?
-
Peace and love maaan

Maybe I'm trying to create peace with Stevie Wonder ^_^ Or maybe I'm just being an idiot...

No no NO!! Yous are supposed to say "Someone I’ve needed so long"

Well... I just type in f on my search bar at the top of the page and it automatically takes me to the 'speedway' thread, I never noticed that there's another home page I mean, I must have seen it the very first time I used this website, but I don't remember it lol -
There's still stuff we can do to change the team up Omg no That was such a good ride and then for that to happen, feel terrible for him, at least he still got second after having mechanical issues I'm not saying you did, but some other people do I wouldn't chose Ludvig to go out of our top 5, if we were going to get a stronger reserve in, we'd have to bring someone else on a 5-6 point averge in too, and that's not very strong... No one wants any of the top 5 to go, but unfortunately, if we want our reserves sorting out, someone needs to... Bacon would be a nice signing, and the way Ged goes with his team... He might be out of one soon? Please don't put Josh in yet, waaay too early for him, he'd struggle tonnes more than Connor... it'd just ruin Josh's career before it's even began... still confuses me why he's signed for Newcastle, and now he can't sign for Buxton in the NL, the team he seemed to ride for the most down there... In the MDL anyway Second halves with Connor, I can agree with that though, it'd give them both competition, Connor won't want to be beaten by Josh and Josh will want to beat Connor... I'm still interested hear where Jake Knight is going... He has a team place apparently... Just not been announced yet? He retired for work commitment reasons, could a CL place have tempted him back in? Something a NL place might not have done.....

By the littlest and simplest things... -
Yeah, I just was using hate as in love hate, I don't think anyone hates a rider who goes out and basically risks their lives for our entertainment... Over the years I've jokingly disliked some Redcar riders, but really, I love them all, they're 1000% braver than I'd ever be... But I understand, I get disappointed with Ludvig sometimes too, but hey, in a sport as dangerous as speedway, I think everyone has the chance to struggle now and again (Although, before this year, Ludvig has done it a bit more than others, I agree) You need to be 100% in your head and 110% in your bikes before you can even THINK about performing well And would you, or any one else, not consider Ludvig a main rider in our team? I would say he definitely is and has been for a few years now at least
-
I have someone who needs me.....
-
I get that, but not everyone has to grow, Ludvig is a very solid and entertaining second string and captain who would also do a job in a heat leader role, but, we all have our opinions Kevin Doolan has peaked and is on his way down (Granted he is much older) but still, would you replace him, as club captain, because he's not going to grow? I think the amount of work Ludvig has done off the track over the years too warrants a lot of praise, but he never gets it? I don't think Ludvig has peaked yet tbh, he's only 26, he's got many years ahead of him, I mean, look at Jason Doyle... He only grew good as he got older, I dunno, and we have 6 out of 7 Brits, that's possibly the best British to foreigner ratio in the top two leagues (I might be wrong) what much more do you want? lol... Ludvig the adopted Geordie, he lives up here and doesn't he have a girlfriend/wife from Newcastle? Although..... I might be completely wrong about that xD I don't follow him THAT closely O.O Roy should re-name him to Ludvig Marmite Lindgren I think Kevin Doolan was a terrible example..... xD But it's the closest example in Berwick's team Josh Auty, he's 7/7.5 rider, he's clearly 'peaked' over a longer period of time than Ludvig has, same age as Ludvig, Scunthorpe's captain (I think) they won't be dropping him soon, he's a decent rider, scored points from most positions in the team, the only thing he's got going is he's British, well, the rules aren't all riders must be British, so it's ok I'll look like a right idiot if Scunthorpe drop Auty tomorrow...
-
Well, I think none of them deserve to be dropped, and other people have even said, it's hard to chose between them, but people were only talking about ludvig and not one mention of Rose... I think both of them deserve to stay, all of our top 5 do... People are always talking down about Ludvig
-
I'm 90% sure of that too, and you never know where his career will take him, maybe it might go down hill from now on? Maybe he'll suddenly go crazy and we'll see him in the GPs in a few years, both unlikely, but hey, this IS speedway we're talking about, where anything can happen, and usually does
-
Well... He should... But has George had a word with him Haha... Just kidding, averages do strange things sometimes... He's already dropped, and with rolling averages, what else will it do, even if it stayed where it was now, it'd be good Well considering I was saying I'd want him instead of Rene But still, I know where you're coming from, you hate him as much as I love him xD It'd be too hard to chose for me, but all I'd think is that Ludvig will stay around longer than Rose, as in Rose will move on to the PL and Ludvig will stay here
-
Yes, but it's fun, and interesting to see what people think, maybe changes aren't imminent, but I wouldn't rule out one further down the line still Maybe if Aarnio's average drops and Morris' stays high Morris (very harsh I know) and Connor out Tero and Zach W/Liam Carr in
-
Well, I agree, I think I'd prefer to see Ludvig in the team anyway, it was just a passing comment more than anything Ahhhhh, does the 'only one other league' rule only count for the top league in Poland? (Not even going to try and spell it out) Well, doesn't that mean that Ludvig is more of a long term option for us then? Which is better, Lewis will just keep on going up and eventually drop the CL to ride abroad, hopefully, Ludvig will stay for many years to come If of course, he has peaked and doesn't suddenly go crazy, I'd pick our captain over Rose, although it's a VERY VERY hard decision, and I hope they both stay for the next 2 or 3 years at least But still... Isn't it just as bad to purposely not win the league just to avoid racing the Promotion relegation thingy? This is nearly as bad as most of my suggestions, I admire the dude, how can someone with so many bad injuries keep coming back, but he hates Brough and wants to retire... I don't think us being in the Premiership would mean bye bye either, I just don't think we'd do very well in it, bring in Robert, Steve, Rose and Ludvig, and maybe big Bjerre and two others (Maybe Richie and a young reserve?), would be a half decent team, and shouldn't cost TOO much more than what we have now, although, what do I know, the whole club might already be hanging on a thread? But would we have gone in for Robert if it was? I doubt he was cheap... Is Tero Aarnio only on a month contract with Scunthorpe...? Because I see his average is already dropping..... And Ashley's is rising.....
-
Didn't realize Shane had been injured, hope he's recovered and can get a team place somewhere soon, also Jake KNight might just sign for King's Lynn That might be his team place he's talking about
-
Joe Screen? That seems to be the new trend at the minute...
-
So, does anyone actually know what average he's coming in on?
-
Gah, some people have a serious vendetta against Ludvig, someone who as pointed out previously, is 3rd highest averaging in our team and captain, I don't understand why people mention Ludvig but not Rose, same average now, but I would trust Ludvig to win a race (Home and away) more than I'd trust Rose This is not me having a go at Lewis as I love him!! This is a question of how the rules work, not me wanting Rene to come back... Although I do want that Robert Lambert rides in Poland, and four other leagues, but I thought you could only ride in one other as well as Poland Rene rides in Poland, and Sweden and Denmark, which also seems to break the rule, would Rene be able to ride for us too (for example) Can someone explain to me where I've got it all wrong, as I usually do Could it also mean that Newcastle Diamonds might be bought out? Either to fold the club or make us another Glasgow? Yeah, but the league is the most important thing to go for (imo) and we'll never win that with this team, although, I'd happily be embarrassed by this comment in 5 months time... Who am I kidding..... ALL of my comments are embarrassing xD Rene and a two pointer would fit that..... Although I like Ludvig more Ludvig was on an inflated average at the start of the season anyway, he won't be much better than a 7/7.5 rider anyway, but he's still one of the most entertaining to watch, and I hope he stays for years to come...
-
Why hasn't Shane Hazelden got a team? And what bout Jake Knight? Dave Mason would be better than no rider, would he not?

I'm an idiot -
You're right, we're not bottom, but we're not going to win anything either, imo I would question that, would they be improved, or would they be so low in confidence it ruins them? As far as I remember, Oliver Greenwood asked Peterborough to drop him when he wasn't performing good enough, and where's he now? Does that put any threat on Newcastle speedway? / Does that mean Sunderland Stars might come back?
