  1. I wouldn't exactly call Jordan Jenkins in for Danny Phillips a like for like tbh... Plus we need to find riders who can ride our track, if a rider comes in on a similar average to Simon, but can actually ride Brough, then it's an upgrade is it not? It may be like for like on paper, but on shale, maybe not? Isn't that the trick to team building anyway,,, Maybe someone like Mikkel B Andersen might ride Brough better? (I don't remember how he did but just as an example)
  2. Wroclaw not considered a good track?
  3. What's the point until waiting until the end of June, the season will be well and truly over by then...
  4. I'm just going to paste amazing races now Enjoy... R.I.P Tomasz <3 What a lovely memory
  5. I think this is the best race I've seen for a while (I know it's off topic for this thread) Partly because it's a hell of a race, partly because it's a match winning race and mostly because Chris Holder finished at the back ...Oh, how I would love to live in Poland...
  6. What does Jordan Jenkins, Nathan Stoneman, Richard Andrews, Luke Harris, Rob Shuttleworth (If still riding?) or heck even David Wallinger do on Sunday afternoons like? All would be an improvement... Sorry Danny, all of this can't be doing you much good either... Can't fault your effort or commitment though... Whatever happened to us and another north east team having a NL team then? Any other team changes people may be thinking about... It's a bit early I think, don't over react, Thomas Jorgensen, Lasse Bjerre, Matthew Wethers and Steve Worrall are all too good not to improve on their early season start... Thomas and Lasse are still basically away riders at the minute... The first in particular... As he made it VERY hard for himself on Sunday night, some of the lines he was taking were questionable... Give him time and he'll come good... Also Simon Lambert? Can't fault his effort either, but Brough Park is just not his track... Let's give him a few weeks chance though... Max, you're doing great (Bar Berwick away) Very impressive at home last Sunday
  7. Not to mention changes needed to be made anyway, because Nike retired... It was just unfortunate for Victor
  8. I can't remember where, but I remember reading that the Poles always criticise Maciej for being too soft, and he'll never get any better for it... Have they not seen this race? Great race, hard riding, but still room and respect between both riders, and a nice little hand shake at the end... This is what speedway is about...
  9. God, no... Really like the team line-ups for next year... Can KINDA compare it to the 2010 team 1. Kenni Larsen - Steve Worrall - Big hitting number 1s, should be top or there abouts in the league (Kenni was) 2. Derek Sneddon - Simon Lambert - Similarish riders, unsimilarish heights... But solid number 2s... (Ouch) 3. Jason King - Matthew Wethers - Both solid, experienced riders, questionable heat leaders but will do well at Brough (Allows stronger rider at number 4) 4. Rene Bach - Lasse Bjerre - Best number 4 in the league (Rene definitely, Lasse maybe?) 5. Mark Lemon - Thomas Jorgensen - Very strong number 5s, brilliant top ends 6. Dakota North - Danny Phillips - Much weaker now... 7. Max Clegg - Adam McKinna - Much stronger now... Or am I just dreaming and making stuff up? xD Probably...
  10. Maybe number 3 is Jorgensen's 'Back up' number, and his real number will be 5... 3 is just in case the team gets reshuffled later, maybe Lasse will start as 3 and have 5 on his Kevlars (With Velcro AND studs) I personally hope Jorgensen is at 5, as I think he will do a better job than Lasse there, and Lasse is more the team rider imo, so give him a good partner like Matty to team ride with at 3 and 4
  11. What? Three last places and a win against Ipswich? I know he rode well today, but that form to me, isn't very consistent... At least Josh is consistently average... Both as bad/good as eachother I think Good to see Jordan Palin with a team place for next season (Already)... Got him in my NL fantasy team, so hope he has a good year
  12. Do why know what numbers all the riders had? Couldn't be there unfortunately Not even in the same country to be fair!! Think Max Clegg will surprise a lot of people next year
  13. 1. Max Clegg 8.63 Cradley 2. Rob Ledwith 3.50 Kent 3. Jason Edwards 6.73 Mildenhall 4. Charlie Brooks 4.53 Mildenhall 5. Leon Flint 8.55 Belle Vue 6. Dan Gilkes 2.00 Kent 7. Jordan Palin 2.00 Belle Vue Total: 35.94 Couldn't choose between the Thompson's and didn't want to miss out Gilkes, so just went with Palin instead... Clegg and Flint will both easy be 9 point riders, all the rest will surely ass at least a point? Edit: Can I change my mind... Since a lot of people are going Palin/Gilkes at reserve... I want to put the Thompson twins there instead... So my new team would be 1. Max Clegg 8.63 Cradley 2. Rob Ledwith 3.50 Kent 3. Jason Edwards 6.73 Mildenhall 4. Charlie Brooks 4.53 Mildenhall 5. Leon Flint 8.55 Belle Vue 6. Joe Thompson 2.00 Leicester 7. Dan Thompson 2.00 Leicester
  14. All very interesting information from everyone, thank you all very much for the help I like this as a plan, thanks
  15. I take it you're not an Ulrich Ostergaard fan then... You don't know what the circumstances are... Anything could have happened
  16. Hi, I hope this is the correct place for longtrack posts as I can't find a section devoted to it. Anyway... I am completely new to longtrack but I was thinking maybe this year giving it a chance somewhere. I just want a basic run down and people's opinion on which is the best event to go to for the 2019 season. (Herxheim, La Réole, Marianske Lazne, Mühldorf, Scheeßel, Morizes, Roden) Which has the biggest track? Are the bigger tracks better to watch at? Which has the biggest crowds drawn? Which is the better location to spend a few days in the area? I understand Muhldorf is near Munich... Maybe that would be best? Any advice is appreciated, just want a bit of help... Thanks very much in advance
  17. Just wondered if you had a bit of insider knowledge It might be... He just doesn't know for sure... I agree with most of your line up... But I would swap Wethers and Lambert around... Clegg at 7 is important imo... Wethers will be a lot better of a number 2 than Lambert will be... But they'll both be average number 4s
